Now I know having a top notch beautiful leather designer bag on your shoulder looks classy but I've come to realise that no matter how fashionista you try to be, there is always something practical that needs carrying that just will not fit in said designer bag. I love my designer bags but my most used designer bag by far is the Longchamp Le Pliage, it truly is the most versatile and used bag,
I have found the Longchamp Le Pliage Tote really comes in to its own. After all, there is a reason why Kate Middleton along with over 30 million others carry this bag every day.
The Longchamp Le Pliage bag looks stylish, comes in an amazing range of colours and is super practical. I can carry my laptop, my camera, books, a waterproof coat and more in it without it showing any signs of strain. The simple logo-free design looks great and it is weather resistant too. If you were wondering what fits inside a Longchamp Le Pliage bag, yes a Macbook pro {the big one!} fits inside perfectly.
What material is used for the Longchap Le Pliage Tote bag?
The material used on Longchamp bags is typically nylon with leather handles and trim. It is also more recently available in recycled canvas and there is also a more pricey leather range if you do want to go back to a leather bag instead of the nylon look. The Longchamp bag is traditionally a nylon look bag though, which is great in the rain!

How much does the Longchamp Le Pliage bag cost? Prices of a Longchamp bag vary depending on size and material. The original nylon one retails at around £105 and some may consider that pricey for a nylon tote but trust me the outlay is worth it for its versatility, durability and style. It does depend which size you go for though.
What is the size of the Longchamp Le Pliage tote? The one I am reviewing today is the medium size which is around the size of a carrier bag (but oh so much more stylish). The beauty of this bag is that the same bag comes in small, medium, large and extra large so there is a size to suit everyone. My Mum has the small and medium for different purposes. Ideally, you want the entire collection!
How durable is the Longchamp Le Pliage Tote? I have two of these and various members of my family own them too and we all agree they are so durable, especially the nylon material which is super resistant to wear and tear. My mum has dark colours which are obviously easier to look after. I have a black one and a cream one and of course the cream one does show marks more easily but equally it does look gorgeous. I have had my black Longchamp Le Pliage bag for over 10 years and used it every day for school.
Does the Longchamp Le Pliage have a zip inside? While the bag itself has a large zip, the inside pockets (one of which is a good size by the way and the other is smaller) do not have zips. This is one improvement I would make to it. I wish the Longchamp bag had a zip compartment, it has two compartments but neither has a zip over. Having said that one of the inside pockets is large and deep enough to carry things such as keys without them feeling unsecured. I do think a pouch inside or a smaller bag inside is the perfect way to be efficient with your Longchamp Le Pliage bag.

Can the Longchamp Le Pliage be folded for storage? How to fold the Longchamp Le Pliage bag? One of the key features of the Longchamp Le Pliage bag is its ability to be folded into a very compact size making it convenient for storage and travel. Once folded back in to its original position it can be closed using the press stud to keep it nice and flat. I love the the fact that this bag is both stylish and functional. If my Longchamp tote bag isn't with me as a handluggage bag with my laptop in {it's the best handluggage bag!} then it will be folded inside my suitcase ready to take on my travels with me.

Does the Longchamp Le Pliage bag come in different colours? Longchamp offer an amazing choice of colours that are super trendy and up to the minute, I'm so impressed with the beautiful choice of colours. You can keep it neutral, I personally use my beige one the most but I love my navy and black ones too. My Mum adores her brown Longchamp tote bags but you could go wild with a pink one and give Barbie vibes.

Does the Longchamp Le Pliage come in different designs? In addition to a gorgeous choice of colours, there are also a number of designs in the Longchamp Le Pliage Collection including limited edition designs all with hallmarks of the original version but slightly different for those who prefer to be a little more original. Though not as practical, these designs are super quirky. There are also matching travel bags (expandable) and backpacks. There is also a personalisation service.

Are Longchamp Le Pliage bags water resistant? This bag is shower proof and will withstand light rain but is not fully waterproof. I have definitely had mine in deep rain though and it has been fine! If you are wondering if you can get a Longchamp bag wet then the answer is yes, it dries quickly and my items stay dry inside.
Is the Longchamp Le Pliage easy to clean? You might be wondering how do I clean my Longchamp tote bag? Longchamp provide care instructions but typically wiping the nylon with a damp soapy cloth and avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight are the recommended tips for a long and healthy life. If you are wondering if you can put the Longchamp Le Pliage tote bag in the washing machine, I personally do this with mine and it is totally fine. It doesn't ruin the bag and it does clean it. You could always pop it in the bath with some detergent too and leave it to soak if you are looking to clean your Longchamp bag.

Do Longchamp bags go on sale / get discounted? Longchamp Le Pliage bags only go on sale in bolder colours, in outlet stores you can usually get some quirkier colours but generally speaking the traditional Longchamp tote bags don't go on sale in the neutral colours, they are always current season.

True, this is not a designer bag and true it isn't a blow your mind design but it's simple, versatile, practical and very chic (so much more than your average tote) and once purchased will become a life long wardrobe staple. This is a great intro to designer bag and it will elevate your tote bag.
