What's In My Make Up Bag; July

I thought I'd do a 'whats in my make up bag' July edition post because I do change the contents of my make up bag on a monthly basis. To be honest, I do alter what's in my make up bag depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing. I'm forever rushing around so this is a weekly thing for me. I think I'm going to start doing these posts more regularly so I can show you any patterns in my make up bag, for example, does one thing always stay there? Hopefully you will approve of some of the items that have made it into my make up bag this month...

Lush Spa Event and Review

I was lucky enough to be invited to Lush Leeds’ 4th Birthday party last week. I have always been a huge Lush fan, the smell, the fact that the shop is so fun, their products are so unique and just how everyone in the store is always really friendly and bubbly, I always wanted a job in Lush when I was younger. I am obsessed with anything pink in the shop or anything that smells like honey, they make the best bathing products known to man. Lush is so unique and I felt honored to be invited to their 4th birthday party. I have been shopping there as a customer for 4 years and no way did I ever think that I’d be invited to their birthday party. Also, I was lucky enough to try out one of their new massages at the new, Lush Spa. I didn’t even know that they had a spa attached to their shop. Exciting! I cannot wait to tell you about my Alice in Wonderland experience, if you want a fairy tale experience, keep reading. Lets just say, it was not what I expected…

Favourite Budget Beauty Products

Hey everyone, hope you're having a lovely Summer wherever in the world you are. So, like most girls, I love the high-end things in life but unfortunately, as a student, with a part time job, it's pretty hard having to spend my money on them all the time. Yes, I love Dior and do spend most of my wage on make up products, but sometimes this little angel on my shoulder pops up and says, come on Em, £35.00 for a foundation when you've got bills to pay and food to buy, simply on a part time wage? It really does take its toll, so, because I'm sure a lot of you are the same as me, a consumers dream, buying all of these expensive products, I'm going to show you my favourite budget beauty products, the things that I have bought over and over again. I like high end but it doesn't hurt anyone to find some bargains does it, nowadays everyone is looking for ways to save money.

Gaucho Restaurant Review

Yes, I primarily write about beauty but as most girls do, I love food, cocktails and just all things glamorous so when I was walking down Park Row in Leeds the other week and came across a black building which I've never seen before, I had to venture in. I looked up and saw a small logo which said: 'Gaucho'. I then looked further, to see that there is a small staircase leading to a hidden restaurant; Gaucho. This isn't your average restaurant, this is an experience which you will never forget...

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Make Up; Get The Look

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is much discussed in the world of beauty, every time I see a photo of her I gasp at how perfect she is. I wish I looked like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, there, I said it. I know we should be happy with what we’ve got, but sometimes, us girls just get down and need some inspiration, now Rosie really is that beauty inspiration for me. Luckily, make up exists so there are ways of re-creating the Rosie Huntington Whitely make up look (I’m not promising that your lips will ever look as good as hers). After searching the internet for photos, I’ve realised that she doesn’t really have a signature look as such, so I’ve chosen a few of my favourite looks of hers, and come up with ways that you can recreate them pretty easily actually. Here is my guide on how to do your make up like Rosie Huntington Whitely and how to steal Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s look… notebooks at the ready...

Erno Laszlo Skincare Love

Erno Laszlo is an exciting brand that I was sent to try recently and I am so glad I did. I am always honest in my reviews so this must be a good brand otherwise I wouldn't include it in my blog. I write this blog so that you can save money and not waste it. This skincare range screams Hollywood, looks oh-so Pinterest (I'm obsessed with Pinterest) and modern in any bathroom, and will improve your skin incredibly. It's a brand that I'd never even heard of (bad beauty blogger), but now, it's a brand that I will never forget. Welcome to the exciting world of Erno Laszlo... I'd like to talk you through my current favourite items...

Top Summer Lipsticks: My Collection

Lipstick is something that I've only just got into. I've been addicted to my Mac Myth lipstick for as long as I can remember and lets just say, it doesn't really count as lipstick, it's basically the same colour as my lips. Since getting all my hair cut off (hair extensions have ruined it - more on that soon!) I've decided that red lipstick actually suits my hair. Maybe it's because I feel lost without my hair so I had to add something else to my face to make up to it. Anyway, whatever it is, I seem to have become a little bit obsessed with lipsticks lately, so thought it was only fair that I show you my current lipstick collection, and boy, I'm just getting started...

Which Is The Best BB Cream?

BB creams aren’t exactly new anymore, I remember trying them last year and thinking, erm well they’re okay but I feel naked wearing one. But things seem to have advanced and every beauty brand out there basically does a BB cream now. After seeing Rosie Londoner post some of her fave make up items on her instagram the other day, one of which was a BB cream, I decided that I must try them again and hopefully get her radiant glow. When you’re having a good skin day, there is nothing better than only applying a BB cream, it's natural and treats your skin just like skincare does. The big question is, which BB cream should I buy and which BB cream is for me? Lucky for you, I’ve put a few of them through their paces...

Vichy DermaBlend Foundation Review

Vichy Dermablend Foundation
This product is definitely a ‘don’t judge a book by its cover product’ and I am so glad that they now sell it in Boots! The product itself looks quite bland, simple and doesn’t really even look like other Vichy products. I was invited to a Vichy event this week in London with Tanya Burr as the host but unfortunately I couldn't make it, so I feel that my review of this product is very fitting as I think a lot of people will have heard about this on Twitter this week. Lets just say, I was very shocked when I applied this to my face…

Which Oil or Serum is for me? A Guide To Serums and Oils

Face oils and serums are something that have been around for quite some time, but they always seem quite scary to use. I’ve had them for ages, but I’ve never really got to grips with how to use them, or used them for long enough to get a good result. Today, I want to talk you through my favourite oils and serums, tell you what they’re good for, why you should add one to your daily beauty regime and also, tell you the results and how much my skin has changed since using them. Cosmopolitan magazine did a section about serums this month and they said that serums work on all your skincare concerns at once, it's like taking vitamins for your skin. They explain that many ingredients cannot be formulated together in a single potion, so if you lather a serum under a moisturiser, it's a quick way to zap more issues at once. Bring on the perfect skin days...
