March Favourites

So today I thought I'd write a March favourites post, it's crazy to think that March has already been and gone - (I'm currently in Vietnam but thought I'd post this before I do anymore travel updates) scary really how quickly time is passing, but that means one thing, it's already time to talk about my favourite items this month. As you can see, most of these items are pretty and pink and so perfect for Spring, there are so many amazing items out at the moment which are absolutely perfect for the warmer months and I can't get enough of these. I am so excited to share these pink themed favourites with you.

Top Travel Beauty Products & DoubleTree by Hilton London Heathrow Airport!

So the Easter/Spring Break is nearly upon us and for many, that means a holiday or maybe a cheeky weekend away. As you'll know, I'm spending quite a lot of my Easter break in Vietnam (eek) and I am probably on the plane right now as I publish this, eek, so I thought I'd show you what's in my travel beauty bag and talk you through my travel essentials... as I fly today, I thought I'd talk you through my first day of travel and show you what I'm taking with me, including a cheeky little holiday haul so you can see what clothes I'll be taking with me in my suitcase. Warning, these are veryyyy good products and I kind of bought too many clothes...

Spring Flowers and Best Friends

I haven't written a lifestyle post for quite some time, even though I love writing them. I was invited to take part in a challenge the other day by Flowers Of Holland and it's all about best friends and flowers, perfect, how could I ever decline? I decided that I'd take part in the challenge and I'd love to see some of you get involved and do this post with your best friend too! So here we go, let's talk flowers and best friends... (not gonna lie, this got me a little bit excited for Spring too!)

LRFS Fashion Show!

Hello! So firstly I am so sorry that this has taken me so long to publish, the LRFS (Leeds Rag Fashion Show) was a few weeks ago now but I guess sometimes blogging can be super hectic and this month it really has been. In February I attended London Fashion Week and whilst that was incredible and really did set the bar high, it was very exciting to be invited to a local fashion show, with all proceeds going to charity. I am extremely impressed with what I saw, students tend to get slated quite a lot in the media so it was incredible to see a team of intelligent students pull off such a smooth running, professional evening... get comfy, you've got VIP seats to the show...

Mother and Daughter Style Inspiration: Mother's Day Outfits

Mother's day is just around the corner so when I was contacted by Hush and asked to create a Mother/Daughter style guide, I wondered if this would actually work - can a mother and daughter seriously wear the same kind of clothes and shop at the same shops? Me and my Mum both adore Zara, but apart from that, we do have quite different styles, but naturally, that's just because we're different people and we're different ages. The minute I clicked on the Hush website I started making myself a wishlist, I literally wanted everything, I soon realised, my Mum would want everything too. Hush invited me to style two outfits from the SS14 collection – one for me and one for my Mum – hopefully I've produced something which showcases the versatility of the items and proves that their new range of products suits all ages. I only ever write about things which I genuinely believe in and the minute I clicked on the Hush website, I fell in love and have pretty much planned my whole Spring wardrobe. The blogger who puts together the most stylish two outfit combinations will win £300 worth of Hush vouchers too so I really am crossing everything. I can't wait to show you what I've chosen...

What's In My Make Up Bag, March

whats in my make up bag

Another month, another make up bag. My favourite posts to read are wishlists and 'whats in my make up bag' posts, I love to have a little nosey inside peoples bags and I really do switch up my bag on a monthly basis so I really enjoy sharing this with you. This months gorgeous make up bag is a beautiful leather number c/o Liz Earle and actually, one which I think will remain as my make up bag for quite a few months, it's easy to clean, it's big enough but not too big and it's neutral and sophisticated looking. Let's take a look inside...

The No Make Up Selfie Debate for Cancer Research

Hey everyone, so something a little bit different from me today. I've decided to write about this because quite frankly, it's quite a controversial topic but it needs discussing. If you don't know what the no make up selfie is, a lot of people last night and the night before were posting photographs of them with no make up on in order to raise awareness of cancer, perfect I say. Here's what I think about it...

He-shi Express Liquid Tan Review: Easy Fake Tanning Tips

he-shi fake tan set

Hello! So I thought it was time to give you a little bit of an updated tanning routine, I've already given you an updated skin care routine (see that here if you missed it) but tan does seem to be something I am frequently asked about, I regularly recieve messages asking which fake tan I wear so I thought it was time to spill. For me, sunbeds are an absolute no-go, why use something that's going to increase your risk of getting cancer? No thank you, so I've always stuck with fake tan. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that usually, I swear by Xen-Tan but when my trusty Xen supplies recently ran out, it was time to reach for another bottle and the lovely ladies at He-Shi kindly sent me their express liquid tan to try out. I am always quite weary of fake tan, my golden rule with fake tan is usually and unfortunately, you get what you pay for, the higher the price, usually means better quality and a better final result. Unfortunately the cheap fake tans generally tend to go green and patchy (or they do on me anyway) so I've always stuck to quite high-end fake tans. Let's see how me and He-Shi got on...

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Making gift guides has to be one of my favourite things, pretty geeky, but I love getting everything together and making a cute, easy gift guide which is suitable for all budgets. I personally love Mother's Day, I always spend the day with the best two women in my life, my Mum and my Grandma. Mother's Day for me isn't about huge, expensive gifts, it's usually about a meaningful card and some nice flowers, maybe some yummy chocolates too. I've put together a simple Mother's day gift guide which features something for every price range and hopefully, something that everyones Mum will love.

Date Night: Sukhothai Restaurant Review

Date night is my favourite night, particularly when it's at a nice restaurant. I love restaurants, I'm such a foodie as most of you will know by now and a restaurant which I have always loved, is Sukhothai. I was very excited to re-visit their Leeds South Parade branch earlier this week. I first visited Sukhothai for my brother's graduation, I visited again on Valentines day and ever since, have been craving another meal at this authentic and delicious restaurant... Let's see how my night went...

the body shop ultimate brush collection
As much as I love my Real Techniques brushes, they've seen better days, I feel like they're getting pretty old and tatty now so it was the most incredible surprise when a parcel from The Body Shop containing their ultimate brush collection, landed at my door (thank you so much). Lets see how I got on re-visiting a child-hood favourite...

March Wishlist!

Another month another huge list of things that I want (oops). I've made this list a little bit smaller than my usual wishlists because I'm really trying to save for my travels to Canada, not long to go now, roll on August! Womens Gym Routine: What I do In The Gym

Hello everyone, so this isn't really a post that I had planned and I'm not a fan of posting semi-naked photographs of myself on the internet (my Mum is going to kill me) but after posting my detox tips and tricks post, a post where I basically told you all what I’ve been doing to keep fit and get more toned (read that here if you missed it), I was asked by a lot of people to write about what I do at the gym so I thought it was time to give you a brief overview of what I’ve been doing at the gym (as well as sticking to what I said on my detox tips and tricks post). I felt the need to include photos of my progress because otherwise, it doesn't make it very believable but I really have toned up recently, I have a long way to go but obviously I want to share my journey with you. I just want to point out that I am not a dietitian or fitness expert, I have a very big sports background, I competed for my county in Athletics, gymnastics and have always been a keen sportswoman, I do have a lot of people around me who are nutritionists and personal trainers who have given me some fantastic advice along the way but this is literally just what I personally do at the gym, I'm not saying whatsoever that you should even do this or that this is the right or wrong thing to do... now we've got that out of the way, let's get toned!

Deichmann Shoes SS14 Collaboration with Caroline Blomst Review

I haven't done a fashion post for a while because I've been saving myself for this one. I got so excited when I found out about Deichmann's competition to blog about their new range, a SS14 capsule shoe collection in collaboration with fellow blogger Caroline Blomst. I've been keeping it a secret for quite some time but finally, the secret is out and I can shout about these beautiful shoes and show you exactly how I've styled them. I truly believe that you can get a lot out of your shoes, they aren't designed to be worn with just one outfit, after all 'these shoes are made for walking!' I've decided to show you just how versatile these shoes are by styling them with a few different outfits to prove to you that you can literally wear these shoes with anything, anywhere. In the words of Marilyn Monroe 'give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world'. Let the fun begin...
