Life: Girls Night Out Facts

Hey everyone, so as most of you know I write about beauty but I’m also trying to my hand at more lifestyle posts after seeing the amazing  response that I got from my ‘how to over come bullying and bitching’ blog post. Read that here if you missed that. I was recently approached by Ladbrokes bingo with some funny and interesting statistics about Girls Nights Out, so I’ve decided to talk to you about them. Girls go out at any age, whether it’s 16 to under-age nights (I’ve been to a few in my time), or older ladies reliving their youth or celebrating just like the younger girls do. But, according to this survey 57% of women feel there is an age limit on going out in the town, this age being 27. I know so many 30+ year olds who often go out, so this shocked me. However, 70% of women apparently prefer girls nights in. I am actually the same...girls nights in or even a night in with your boyfriend, is basically the new going out.84% of women at some stage think that nights out just aren’t what they used to be so I’ve got some interesting statistics to show you about this and see if you agree...

Lauren's Way Self Tanning Bronzing Mousse Review

Now, it isn't often that I will review any tan which isn't Xen-Tan. But, I have never used Lauren's Way simply because in all honesty, I am not a huge Lauren Goodger fan. Sorry to all the fan girls out there, I'm sure she is a lovely girl, but the way that The Only Way Is Essex portrayed her really didn't do her many favours. But, I feel that it's quite mature that I still use her products, because they are actually immense and it goes to show, that no matter who is behind the products, they are worth a try. I haven't ever heard a bad thing about this fake tan, the colour is just incredible and I got so many compliments on it, so read below to find out more about this super tan...

Travel: Titanic Spa Huddersfield Review

(Photo from theguardian/google images)

Titanic Spa in Huddersfield is somewhere that I've wanted to visit for quite some time now. I often look at their website and just dream about a spa break at the luxurious and Celebrity favourite spa destination. When I mentioned this to my spa-savvy Brother, he told me how he was swayed not to visit, because of bad trip advisor reviews, however, when he got a too-good-to-be-true offer through into his mail box (usually they do over night stays, 3 course deals, treatments and a spa trip all for around £100 per person), he couldn't say no. All he has done since is rave about Titanic Spa, which proves that actually,  you shouldn't always trust things like trip advisor. So I am going to give you my honest (as per) opinion of this new luxury spa, I feel that I need to be honest so that hopefully, the management will see my comments and maybe build on my feedback and strive to achieve better.
Read on to see my thoughts...

YoSushi Review; Why It's Much More Than Just Sushi

Ah, a trip to YoSushi. Amazing, my flat mates cry. My best friend, adores sushi and everything about it. Me, not so much. I have a weird diet, whilst I love scampi, fish and chips, calamari, fish fingers and tuna, I'd never go near ew, 'real fish'. Weird, I know. But, when the new Trinity Leeds opened up it's doors to the masses, it would be rude not to visit YoSushi. From the outside, it just looks so exciting. The fully-glass bright orange shop just screams Japan. I've wanted to visit Japan for some time now, and YoSushi makes me want to do this even more. See how I, a non-fish eater, got on, in a seemingly fishy restaurant... Lets just say,  I dived right in, YoSushi, is so much more than fish.

Favourite New Products from Arbonne

It's not often today that people stray from the normal, popular brands, but today, I am going to tell you why I think you should do that. Personally, I find that some products stop working on my skin, so for about a year, I will absolutely love a foundation, but then one day, i'll be like, erm actually, this isn't that great, and it feels like it's stopped working on my skin, and then something better will come along. Due to the world being so expensive nowadays, most people just stick to what they know, instead of risking it all and spending a few more pounds on a product that may or may not work. Well, that's why i'm here. I like to spend my money on products to test them for you first. But lucky me, I was able to try out these products from my recent #northmeetup bloggers event, and I am overwhelmed with this brand, so I just had to tell you why it's so fabulous...

Burberry Velvet Foundation and Sheer Powder Review

Ahhhhhh. Burberry. It's always a nice day when you've got some Burberry in your life, I am absolutely infatuated with Burberry's no.304 lipstick, if you follow me on instagram you'll have seen numerous photos of me kissing the screen and flaunting the beautiful shade of red. More plum actually. But anyway, it's pretty lush when all is said and done, and i'm 100% not finished trialling out Burberry's beauty range yet. So, after testing their immaculate velvet lipstick, next on my list is their face products. Burberry foundation anyone? Yes please. Who could oblige? Not me that's for sure. Burberry, is always a good idea... (in my opinon anyway, and i'm sure you'll agree after reading this review)...

I hosted the #NorthMeetUp Beauty Bloggers Event!

Hey everyone! Ah, so seriously, I am still so overwhelmed whilst writing this. But, yesterday, Sunday 7th April officially goes down as one of the best days of my life. Back in February I decided that I wanted to give something back to the community, so I set a tweet to see if anyone would attend a Northern event, and was overwhelmed with the hundred and something responses that I got. I asked everyone where they could travel to, and 95% of people said Manchester, so Manchester it was. I got to work, and like a lone wolf, started emailing anyone and everyone I knew to find sponsors for the event. And sponsors did I get. Wow. I am blown away by the companies who helped to make this event possible. On this photo you can see an array of beautiful candles etc from Amara, John Frieda prizes, Make Believe Beauty Prizes, John Lewis Prizes and more .. I can't wait for you to see the photos...

Champagne, Canapes and the LOVE LABEL Launch Event

Did someone say Champagne? Any excuse to go to London, I'm there. Yes, travel is expensive and I can rarely afford it anymore, but when the lovely people at emailed me a while ago to invite me to meet the designer and buyer of LoveLabel, I couldn't decline. I've never met a real fashion designer or a fashion buyer before, and I was thoroughly excited to ask them some burning questions...

Do you want to go to the seaside?

Easter and bank holidays mean one thing to me, lots of food and lots of family time. Family are the most important thing in the world to me, so when they told me that we were going to spend Easter Monday at the seaside, I couldn't resist tagging along and jumped at the chance. Like a little bubbly blonde 5 year old, I put on my ugliest winter coat, fluffiest scarf, 4 pairs of gloves (I am the coldest person in the world), scruffy Ugg boots and braved the British weather. After reading Zoella's recent blog post entitled: 'sometimes we need to escape' I got a sudden urge to just get out of my village, get out of the city and absorb some real fresh air. I do live in a teeny tiny village in the country, but i'm constantly working, stressing, running backwards and forwards and just never relaxing. So, whilst going to the British seaside wasn't much like a trip to Sydney, it still did feel incredible to, as Zoe puts it, escape...

Skin Saviours - Top New Skin Care Products and Skin Care Tips

Hello everyone, I've finally got round to doing a beauty review yipeee. I have so much stuff to review it's unbelievable. It's Easter, so I should have loads of time on my hands, but organising the bloggers North meet up party (read about my plans here) has kinda taken all my time up, so I haven't actually had any blogging time *cries*. I haven't ever used Elemis skin products before (bad blogger, I hear you cry), but I know so many people who are obsessed with them and swear by them and that many people can't be wrong. I've always used Dermalogica, but it feels like it's stopped working on my skin recently and not to mention, it's so unaffordable, £40+ for an exfoliator? Who can afford these things? So,  a trip on the Elemis train was my next stop. All aboard. I've recently been doing Rosie from The Londoner's anti-diet (it's amazing, stay tuned I will update you on my beach body ASAP) and I decided, why not also detox my face. Now, this detox was going incredible, until I went on a few too many nights out and one of these, actually resulted in the sin of all sins, me sleeping in a full face of make up. Yes, I sinned. Karma is gonna get me. Or, the bad skin fairy is really going to destroy all of my good work. I can't remember the last time I did this, I am usually so good at taking my make up off. But, the lack of sleep, nutrition and the fact that my general well-being just erm, hasn't been up to scratch lately, has clearly played havoc with my skin, so this week, I am having THE worst skin week. That means, I have a week to get it back on track, as, I don't want bad skin for my bloggers meet up! So, I thought I'd talk you through my new products because I really have seen a difference with my skin... (before I went on a binge week)
