Fresh Soy Face Cleanser Review

Fresh soy face cleanser review

Gifted press products featured and Ad affiliate links used (have rebought myself many times) - Hey everyone, today, a beauty review hooray! One of the really cool parts of my job is getting the opportunity to try different skin products and I will always share my thoughts with you when I come across something that I truly adore. I mix up my skincare a lot, who doesn't? Particularly in my job, I like to try as much new skincare as possible but, I've always got my holy grail favourites. For well over two years I’ve been grabbing my Fresh Soy Face Wash (my Mum has too) and I thought it was about time I told you all about it. I use other cleansers too (hello Elemis Cleansing Balm, Clinique Take Off The Day, Neutrogena Hydroboost - the list goes on, just a few of my faves over the last year) as I usually do a double cleanse and do mix up my cleansers depending on my skins needs/my effort levels in cleansing but I felt I needed to write a standalone review of Fresh Soy Cleanser today as it's one I always go back to.

A quick note before I tell you all about it: please note that I can only comment on how something works on my skin, not anyone else’s. Potential side effects of any skin care product can vary widely dependent on an individual’s skin type so please do a little patch test on anything you use before fully committing to it.

I first discovered Fresh on a trip to NYC and I've loved the brand ever since. I actually had a mini facial in their store once too and I'm desperate to have a full one. I first purchased their Sugar Scrub and it revolutionised my life, getting rid of my orange-ness and leaving me with soft, glowy and smells good-enough-to-eat (I smelt like candy) skin.

I’ve always had a good skin care routine – my Nanna taught me that looking after your skin properly is so important in the long term. So, trying out different brands and telling you about the best of the best is one of my favourite things to do, I guess that's why I'm such a skincare addict, my Nanna is to blame haha.

A good skin care routine of course, like many things, takes time and sometimes you just need to remove the dirt and grime of the day quickly without it being an endless process so, on days like that where I just need to get my make up off and collapse in my bed FRESH SOY FACE GEL is a little miracle. Fresh Soy Face Gel is one of those things that so many people talk about and know about, I'm forever discussing how good it is with people, none of us can pin point why, but we just know it works for us on those lazy I-cant-be-bothered-to-remove-my-make-up-days.

You can buy this product in either a gel or a lotion. I’ve used both and they are both good but I personally prefer the gel because once used it leaves a really clean fresh feel to skin and feels a little more hydrating in texture.

It’s so simple to use – just tip a large blob on to your hand and work in to your face. Rinse with water and that’s the job done – all your make up comes off in one go, as well as eye make up too. I think that's why I'm a fan of this, it's gentle enough for my eye area too and I often use this in the shower for a quick cleanse. It really is that simple. I really am one for no mess, simple, time saving things and I guess this is why I love quick make up removing balms and cleansers. Gimme them all.

Convenience is one thing that clearly gives this the thumbs up for me but I wouldn’t use it for that alone – there are other good things I love about Fresh. Another great plus is that when I’ve use it my skin feels very clean but in no way does it feel tight. I really don’t like things that leave my skin feeling as if it has had all of the good oils stripped out of it. Fresh seems to get skin very clean while leaving a lovely moisturised feel to it.

My skin type tends to be a combination of dry-oily and is quite sensitive and can break out at times so I am very careful what I choose to use. That’s the other great thing about Fresh – although it seems to literally cut through gunge on your face it is very gentle and natural feeling.

Fresh Soy Cleanser uses a mixture of soy, aloe vera, cucumber and glycerine to making this facial cleanser something that helps clean, brighten and soothe the skin and I have to say I have found all of this to be true. It also contains sunflower and borage seed oils which I guess is why skin doesn’t feel tight after using. I swear by anything that gives me a glow.

My mum used to suffer from severe acne and has therefore never dared use any other cleanser than soap and water. Thankfully her skin is much better now and I have introduced her to Fresh and she absolutely loves it and has had no breakouts of any sort after using it for over a year.

Finally, not a major point but the packaging has a lovely simple clean aesthetic to it which is consistent with its many natural ingredients. It looks gorgeous in any bathroom and I am a sucker for skincare that looks good on my bathroom shelf.

Fresh do a whole range of facial products including a rose serum formulated for hydrating particularly dry skin (I can vouch for this, it's really good). There is also a lotus eye gel to moisturise delicate skin around the eyes (much needed for my tired eyes) and I swear by their sugar scrubs for the body. Oh they also do candles too. Every time I walk past a Fresh store I have to go in, I love the scents and I love the ethos of the brand, a beautiful brand that uses good ingredients!

Where to buy and prices:

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is around £12.00 for a 50ml tube. I can honestly say it goes a long way and it’s something you will not regret buying for its sheer convenience on those days when you don’t have that much time on your hands. I also think that's a really good price for something of such a high quality.

You can buy Fresh Soy Face Cleanser online here and here (UK) and here (USA) I hope this review helped. It's nice to write about something that's been trialled and tested by both my Mum and I over a number of years, I know I'll continue to buy it for both of us.

Lots of love, Em x
