Advertisement - I'd be lying if I said I ever wanted the festive season to end. I wish we could rewind and do Christmas and all it's wonderful festivities all over again please. I'm not ready to wait another year for the festive fun. I truly think Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I know it's tough having to go back to normal life, after spending time in pyjamas, eating everything and just being carefree with those we love so today I thought I'd write a blog post on beating the January blues. This is a collaboration with Zenflore.

1. Get organised - First things first, use January to get organised. January always seems to be the longest, dullest month but I see it as a new start and a chance to get my life together. I was desperate to go skiing at the start of this month but realistically? I need to get on top of my life so I can feel positive and organised moving forward. I'm such a stress head and actually, facing my mess head on and starting the year organised will keep me feeling positive and on track for the next few months I hope! 2.  Find a new hobby - If you feel like you're missing the festive fun or you just feel like mixing things up, you can always find a new hobby... whether it's learning Spanish, trying a new gym class (I go to Blaze at David Lloyd and the endorphins I get after a sweaty class are honestly amazing), or even salsa dancing, drawing or listening to podcasts. Something new will get you excited and should inspire you. I feel super motivated already (as much as I'm missing the festivities) because even though to some people a new year is just another day, I do like to see it as a fresh page in a new book.

3. Plan - Plan something to look forward to as Christmas 2019 is a long time away. BOO for me the festive fairy but yay for my bank account haha. Maybe a Valentines escape, your Summer holiday or even a one night stay-cation. It doesn't have to cost a lot but it's nice to have something to look forward to and put in your diary. I know seeing my family at Christmas is what makes me happy so I'm going to make a conscious effort to spend more time and have more fun with those I love this year too.

4. Work out - When I'm feeling a bit 'meh' or stressed, working out truly is the best thing for me, everyone's always so motivated in January to work out, remember, the hardest bit is getting there but you always feel amazing after with the feel good endorphins. I've already mentioned how much I love David Lloyd as I'm personally a class goer but I also like doing outdoor circuits in summer and you can workout whilst watching the TV or just grab fresh air on a hike. Working out doesn't have to mean going to the gym. It's just about any type of movement you love. My Mum personally loves Zumba! I'll be uploading more fitness videos onto my Instagram so you can always copy those in the gym or at home if you want a quick endorphin boost.

5. Supplements - As you probably know, I'm a huge fan of knocking out January blues and general stresses of life by energising myself and lifting my mood with workouts. But, you can also look at introducing a natural supplement too. I already take biotin and collagen supplements for my hair and skin but I recently started taking Zenflore, which is clinically studied in people with everyday stress to support a healthy mind and combat stress-related fatigue. As work deadlines start coming in this Jan, I'll let you know how I get on with it but so far, so good. I didn't think it would do much but I read epic reviews and I do feel like my energy is higher (even after 1000 roast potatoes). It's a natural supplement with a unique live culture and a 'good' bacteria inside it, this is naturally at home in the human gut and clinical studies have shown the B vitamins in Zenflore help support energy and vitality. I'm always happy to try natural remedies!

6. Face it head on - I find in January I face my goals head on, I write a list of what I'd like to achieve this year, places I'd like to visit and get any annoying niggly bits and bobs done (eg, organising my bedroom, ticking off those work deadlines). By writing a positive list, it sets the tone for the rest of the year and gives me things to reach for, things to get me out of bed and things to motivate me. It's kind of like your way of telling the universe you're coming for it and you're ready to smash it. See this year as a new start, a new page in your book and an opportunity to smash your goals, make new memories. Read: My New Years thoughts

7. Brighten your day or someone elses - Buy yourself some flowers or someone else, it's such an easy way to add vibrancy to your day! Or, if someone's done something nice,  get them some flowers. I always buy people flowers as I think it's such a nice gesture. If you're looking for some blooms to brighten up your bedroom, your day or just make someone elses, I highly recommend Roses Only. I was kindly gifted some roses and the quality is incredible.

So there we have it, I hope you like this, just a few ways I personally think you can beat the January blues and make this your month to set the tone for the rest of an epic year!
