Kyozon Launch Party

It's time for another travel post! Recently I was invited to the launch of a new restaurant in Montreal, the foodie in me could hardly say no so I put on my favourite new playsuit and trotted off to Crescent street. It really doesn't matter where in the world you're based because I feel like you're going to like this one... who doesn't enjoy photos of food and champagne, oh and I need to show you my favourite new playsuit. I invite you to join me on a girls night filled with fabulous treats...

Kyozon reminded me of a high-end Yo Sushi - I asked and apparently they have nothing like this in Canada. The decor and bar area was much more impressive than Yo Sushi though making this the perfect date night destination... classy, sophisticated and delicious.

Kyozon cocktails

Before we even sat down to eat, we noticed how amazing the cocktails were.

The champagne was also flowing...

Photographers swooped around the restaurant and we decided to take a seat before it got too busy...

It was really difficult to get good photographs because of the unique layout of the restaurant but the venue itself is amazing, trust me. The centre of the venue is almost cut out, with a bar in the middle and then people sat above it looking down - the chefs are elevated in the air so you can watch them work their magic.

In true Yo Sushi style, you sit down and choose whatever you fancy.

You can opt for more of an intimate table if you prefer. The one thing that puts me off these kind of places is having to sit so close to other people - I like to have my space in restaurants so this is a nice touch.

I don't eat fish but I ate all of this and loved every single bite, maybe I do actually like sushi after all?

Waiters kept coming round with more delights to try...

these pork buns were pretty epic.

We probably got through a full bottle of soy sauce as we laughed and ate the night away...

The coconut water was divine

but I personally preferred the cocktails...

Cocktail in one hand and champagne in the other, I was feeling super full.

But we ate and ate until we couldn't fit anymore in our stomachs...

Until we came across these gorgeous little desserts... it would be rude not to.

They were demolished within seconds and I was left gasping for more.

Whilst we were leaving, we met two Olympic athletes - definitely a highlight of the night!

A place that allows you to drink out of coconut like things is always a winner.

missguided textured playsuit

I wore my favourite new playsuit which you've probably seen on my Instagram (@emshelx), which is available online from MissGuided here. I've been wearing it with tights on chilly evenings and it's perfect for a lunch-time meal or a night out! The best £24 you will ever spend! I apologise for how dark some of these photographs are - it wasn't a photo friendly venue but apart from that, I'll certainly be heading back whether that's just for drinks or for more of those delicious desserts!

Do you like the look of this place? Do you like going out for cocktails with your friends? How do you feel about the Yo-Sushi style of eating? Are you a Japanese lover?

Lots of love, Em x
