Behind The Scenes Shooting Clinique's Pep-Start Eye Cream Campaign!!! Pep-Start Eye Cream Review

clinique pep-start eye cream
When the opportunity to work with one of my favourite brands of all time popped up, I couldn't say no. Clinique were the first beauty brand I ever used, recommended by my Grandma (a life-long fan) and my Mum. My Mum took me to a Clinique store when I was young and I was given my first 3-step facial routine. I have loved the brand ever since. More recently, I've loved Clinique for their amazing make up products. One product I've never used by the brand though is an eye-cream. As someone who stresses herself out a lot, burns the candles at both ends and just doesn't get enough sleep, I'm always on the hunt for good eye creams. I suffer from always looking a little bit tired so today, I am really excited to introduce you to their new product, Pep-Start Eye Cream. But, some more exciting news, not only am I introducing you to a new product but I'm also giving you a behind the scenes look at their new #ImIn campaign which I was lucky to be a part of. I can't wait to show you what we got up to on the day filming the campaign with Clinique...
Pep-start eye cream
First up, let's talk about this new, exciting eye cream. Pep-Start Eye Cream launches on January 29th and it's truly amazing. The cream aims to make you look vibrant, refreshed and hydrated - but it does this quickly. You literally open it up, snap, pop and swipe. It's really that easy (you can even apply it over make up). The Pep-Start Eye Cream is super lightweight and not only does it instantly brighten, awaken and refresh tired-looking eyes, it also works over time too. I love the massaging applicator - it helps to de-puff the eyes. I personally think this makes applying under-eye make up so much easier as it makes the skin base so smooth. It really does make make up application a dream. Wide-awake eyes in three seconds? Yes please. It feels cool and refreshing and is basically everything I needed in my life (plus it's cute and can fit in any purse!).

Pep-Start is bursting full of amazing ingredients too of course. It has a blend of seven peptides in it which help maintain collagen (something that can be threatened by stress, fatigue and lack of sleep - sounds like me), as well as whey protein to firm the skin, soybean protein which is rich in peptide and lots lots more (you can find out more about the technical/ingredient side if you're interested on their website here but trust me, there's some serious goodness packed inside this little handy tube). I know I want an endless supply of this.

The idea of the #ImIn campaign then is that with Pep-Start eye cream as a secret weapon (not so secret anymore, sorry, I suspect it will sell out!) you're ready for anything. I'm all about challenging myself, pushing boundaries and trying new things so I knew this campaign was for me. Clinique chose a few of us to prove that we are ready for anything and set us some challenges where we'd step out of our comfort zone and I was a mix of nervous and excited. So what was my #ImIn challenge?

Myself and fellow blogger Lydia Millen (my partner for the day) arrived at Milton Keynes and were handed an envelope, inside the envelope, we were told what our challenge would be. Clinique challenged us to do survival training for the day. Were we up for the challenge? Yes we were! It meant the day would be action packed with fun activities.

We got kitted up and we were ready for action...
Camo anyone? (I became a little attached to my jacket!)

We were followed by a film crew for the day who put together the campaign advert for the #ImIn campaign (which you can see at the bottom of this post, featuring yours truly!) I love working with film crews as I love to see the final product so it felt really exciting to be a part of such an amazing campaign.

First up, Segways...

I love Segways but at the same time, I'm a little scared of them - you have to completely trust them and you use your body-weight to control them. I've used one once in Austria and may have fell off so I was a little scared but jumped straight on and felt amazing whizzing around.

I'd say one of the biggest challenges of the day was staying warm, it was a freezing day! For our second challenge, we had to crack a code...

We completed it in 30 seconds and walked away feeling proud. There was so much adrenaline involved in this particular task!

Nothing gets your heart pumping like some buggying. I'd never driven one before and it was exhilarating but so much fun. By the end of it I was saying how I'd love to get one in my garden.

Our next challenges included running through lasers (way too dark to film/photograph I'm afraid but so much fun having to bend around them and duck!). We also learnt how to put up somewhere good to sleep (luckily we didn't have to sleep there as it was so cold and damp!).  All in all, it was a really fun day and the main idea behind it was to take us out of our comfort zones a little bit and challenge us. We accepted the challenge and completed our survival training. We left the day feeling proud, tired and a little muddy but it was a great way to test out Clinique's new eye cream and be a part of a really cool campaign. Thanks Clinique for having us!

You can get involved in the #ImIn campaign too, just click here to find out more and you could win an amazing Pepstart experience! Jealous!

You can watch the video below!

Do you like Clinique? Have you ever done anything like this? Do you like the sound of their new eye cream?

Lots of love, Em x
