Charlotte Tilbury Exaggerating-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Sticks Review

Charlotte Tilbury Eye Shadow Sticks

I’ve always loved products that make me look as though I’ve spent far more time on my makeup than I actually have, and the new Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Sticks are exactly that kind of beauty shortcut. As someone who often travels, heads straight from meetings to dinner, and wants makeup that works with minimal effort, these have quickly become one of the easiest eye products in my makeup bag.  Today I'm here to tell you all you need to know about the Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Easy Shadow Stick. Read my review of the Charlotte Tilburt Exagger-Eyes Easy Shadow Stick.

Charlotte Tilbury is known for creating products that help achieve that signature bigger, brighter-looking eyes effect, but until now the brand had never launched a dedicated eyeshadow stick formula. The Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Sticks are designed to be mistake-proof, easy to blend and incredibly quick to apply, whether you're creating a soft daytime look or something more defined for the evening.

What I love most is that they take away all the fuss. There are no brushes required, no complicated blending techniques and no need to spend ten minutes perfecting your eye makeup. You simply scribble, smudge and go. After using these for several weeks, I completely understand why they've generated so much excitement.

The formula feels creamy when first applied but quickly sets into place. Unlike many cream shadows I've tried in the past, these don't feel sticky or heavy on the lids. Once blended, they create a soft-focus finish that makes eyes appear more lifted and defined without looking overly made-up.

I particularly love the Matte Blur shades for everyday wear. They create natural-looking definition that works beautifully on mature eyelids and hooded eyes. The Satin Glow shades add just enough luminosity to brighten the eye area without emphasising texture.

For busy mornings, I've been applying a single shade across the lid with my fingertip and finishing with mascara. The entire process takes less than a minute but looks polished and intentional.

How much does the Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick cost?

In the UK, the eyeshadow sticks retail for approximately £27 each from Charlotte Tilbury.  Some shades are occasionally included in promotions or seasonal offers.

How many shades are available?

The range includes both sculpting matte shades and illuminating satin shades.

Popular shades include:

  • Nude Sculpt
  • Mink Sculpt
  • Desert Sculpt
  • Ballet Quartz
  • Oyster Twilight
  • Amber Haze
  • Satin Diamonds
  • Bronzed Garnet
  • Astral Topaz

The collection was specifically created so that matte and satin shades can be paired together to create professional-looking eye looks with minimal effort.

Are the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Sticks waterproof?

Yes. According to Charlotte Tilbury, the formula is waterproof, smudge-proof, transfer-proof, sweat-proof and humidity-proof. The brand also claims up to 24-hour wear.

Do the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Sticks crease?

In my experience, very little although I appreciate that everyone's eyes are different.

One of the biggest surprises was how well they stayed in place throughout the day. The formula sets quite quickly after blending and remains remarkably smooth.

Charlotte Tilbury reports that 93% of testers agreed the formula did not crease.

Are they suitable for mature eyelids?

Absolutely.

This is one of the areas where I think the Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Sticks really excel. Powder shadows can sometimes settle into lines or make the eyelid area appear drier. These have a creamy texture that blends beautifully and creates a softer finish.

The Matte Blur shades are particularly flattering because they define the eyes without looking harsh.  My mum swears by these eye shadow sticks.

Are Charlotte Tilbury Eye Shadow Sticks good for hooded eyes?

Yes.

Eyeshadow sticks are often recommended for hooded eyes because they allow precise placement and quick blending before setting. The Exagger-Eyes formula is particularly useful because it creates definition without requiring complicated techniques.

How do you apply the Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick?

Charlotte Tilbury recommends a simple three-step process:

  1. Scribble the colour directly onto the eyelid.
  2. Smudge using your fingertip or a brush.
  3. Finish with mascara.

For a more sculpted look, combine a Matte Blur shade in the crease with a Satin Glow shade on the centre of the lid.

Can you use them as eyeliner?

Yes.

One of the clever features of the formula is that it can be applied close to the lash line or even on the waterline to create subtle definition.

Do you need an eyeshadow primer?

Not necessarily.  I always use my foundation as my primer.

The formula is self-priming and adheres very well to the skin. If you have particularly oily eyelids, you may still prefer to use a primer, but I haven't felt the need to.

Which Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick shade is best?

It depends on the look you're trying to achieve.

Best for everyday: Nude Sculpt

Best for soft definition: Mink Sculpt

Best for warm bronze looks: Desert Sculpt

Best for brightening the eyes: Ballet Quartz

Best for a subtle glow: Oyster Twilight

These are the shades I find myself reaching for most often because they're incredibly wearable and complement a wide variety of eye colours.

Are Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Eyeshadow Sticks worth it?

If you're someone who wants effortless eye makeup, then yes.

They're not the cheapest cream eyeshadow sticks on the market, but the ease of use, beautiful colour selection, long wear and luxurious finish make them feel genuinely premium.

What you're really paying for is convenience. These are the kind of products that help you create polished makeup in under a minute.

Who would love the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow sticks?

These are ideal for:

  • Busy professionals
  • Frequent travellers
  • Makeup beginners
  • Mature skin
  • Hooded eyelids
  • Anyone who wants quick everyday makeup
  • Charlotte Tilbury fans looking for an easy eye product

Final Thoughts

Charlotte Tilbury has built an entire beauty empire around creating products that help women feel like the best version of themselves, and the Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick feels like a natural extension of that philosophy. The formula is easy to use, flattering on virtually everyone and delivers exactly what it promises: bigger, brighter-looking eyes with minimal effort.

In a beauty world full of complicated palettes, endless brushes and lengthy tutorials, there's something wonderfully refreshing about a product that simply works. For me, the Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick has become the ultimate throw-in-your-handbag beauty essential and the product I reach for when I want my eyes to look polished, defined and effortlessly beautiful in seconds.

Lots of love, Em x
