Topshop Make Up Review; Topshop Foundation, Smokey Eye Palette And Lipstick

topshop make up review
Ah Topshop, as a nation, we adore Topshop - you can't walk down the street without someone wearing  something that you also own from there. I know I'm glued to the place, even though it breaks my bank balance. In more recent years, Topshop has grown (so have it's prices) but hey, we still love our good old British brand. Not so long ago, they released a beauty collection and it's gone from strength to strength, me however, only properly tried some of their new pieces this year (shocking I know) so I thought I'd do a review of the Topshop beauty range and give you my thoughts and first impressions when it comes to Topshop make up... can they make clothes and beauty products? You're about to find out...
topshop lipstick review

Topshop Lipstick - Beguiled - £8.00: I was so excited to finally try a Topshop lipstick because I have heard such good things about them. The packaging is beautiful, it looks great in my make up bag, it's fun, quirky packaging but it's still sophisticated (I love black and white in my make up bag). The quality of the lipstick is perfect too. Shadewise, I think this is actually the perfect festive/Autumn shade, it's like a deep red wine and I don't think you can go wrong with the sexy vampy look - this lip colour seems to suit everyone! The texture is lovely and for once, it's a lipstick which hydrates rather than drying out my lips. Usually, I find hydrating lipsticks aren't very intense but I think the colour of this is very intense and it does stay on for a long time too. This lipstick has a matte finish which is good because it means you can put gloss on it if you do want to make it glossy too. You can buy it online here from FeelUnique too now!

topshop smokey eye palette

Topshop Smokey Eye Palette - £12 - At just £12, I think this is a really affordable eye palette, it would make such a lovely present for any beauty lover. The applicator brush isn't great, but Urban Decay are one of the only brands I've come across who's brushes within their palettes are actually good - this one is one of the horrible, cheap sponge ones but I never expect much from brushes within palettes anyway. Negativity aside, this is a lovely, sleek, simple palette with everything you need in it to create a smoky eye look - you could easily double up the two lighter shades as highlighters too! I am impressed with the pigmentation and the quality actually (for the price anyway!). Buy it online from FeelUnique here!

the foundation topshop

The Foundation Topshop - £16.00 - This pretty glass bottle got me all excited, I really have left the best until last here. I absolutely adore this foundation and actually wore it in my Festive Get Ready With Me video. It looks like the tiniest bottle but you get 30ml inside it which is good. It comes in adapting colours which I find really good. I went for medium and find it adapts to my own skin colour really well. This is designed to be 'the perfect no-make up foundation' which is actually a look that I love, I want my base to look natural but still flawless and covered. This is a medium coverage foundation and I find it very buildable, it's luminous and silky on the skin but then it does seem to dry very quickly - I actually like this as it means it blends better - some of my foundations stay wet for far too long and are too shiny. I actually find this inbetween matte and shiny. It feels lovely on the skin, weightless and it is long lasting too. It certainly has a beautiful airbrushed look to it. I really do like this foundation and loved it as soon as I put it on, I can't fault it. I'm all for a no-make up, flawless finish and a pretty bottle tends to win me over every time too! I think it's worth a try for just £16! You can get it here on FeelUnique.

You can now shop the full Topshop beauty range online here at FeelUnique which is so exciting (thank me later when you've got the prettiest make up collection ever).

All in all, I am so impressed with Topshop beauty, I personally think the lip and face products are better than the eye products and seriously want the whole lip range and face range! I love the delicate, quirky packaging and I love the beautiful products inside. Bravo Topshop.  Next life goal? Own the whole collection.

Thank you so much to FeelUnique for bringing Topshop beauty into my life (as always this was fully honest!), I'm so happy I got the chance to review it and I'll be picking up more of the collection soon. Next on my Topshop beauty wishlist; the Topshop airbrush beauty primer, the Topshop glowstick and their gorgeous pink lipstick in pillowtalk

Have you tried Topshop beauty? Do you want to try it? What do you love/like the look of?

Lots of love, Em x
