AD - Hi everyone. Today I'm going to be doing a Summer Travel Beauty Essentials post. In this blog post, I'll be talking you through all my travel beauty packing essentials for Summer Travel 2023. Below I've listed all of my essentials when it comes to summer beauty products - ranging from haircare to makeup, I've mentioned it all.
I can't talk about travel beauty products without talking about Boots. They are so helpful when it comes to making sure you can bring all your favourite products away with you. Firstly, they offer a huge variety of mini products, so you have no need to worry about being over that 100ml mark. I've listed some of my favourites below!
Secondly, if you feel like you're still going to struggle with the minis... then just order all your favourite full size products to your Boots store inside the airport and you can pick them up once you're through security. How genius is that! No more trying to cram everything in, it'll just be there waiting for you.
Lastly, Boots offer such a huge variety of products that you'll always be able to find what you're looking for. From Dior to Garnier, they have a huge range to cater to your every need.

BEAUTY ESSENTIALS
For Summer, I try to not take too many beauty products with me while travelling. I just don't wear as much makeup as I do in winter and if I am wearing an SPF, it will always be an SPF foundation! That being said - these are my four non-negotiable products that I will always be packing regardless of what the weather is doing.

One of my favourite mascaras is YSL Volume effect, it has been a holy grail for years and makes my lashes nice and thick, it’s a total bonus then that this is a waterproof mascara.

SKINCARE ESSENTIALS
It's so hard to decide what skincare to take with you when travelling, because if you're anything like me your skincare routine is at least 14 steps.
But equally regardless of whether I'm checking in a bag or just doing hand luggage I don't want to be carrying around a load of skincare.
So I try to keep things simple.
Firstly, I really love bringing with me a face mist. It helps to keep me cool if I'm lying by the pool or just give that little bit extra hydration. La Roche Posay and Avene are my two go to's.
I also really like to include a tanning face moisturiser. Normally I get a spray tan before I go anywhere on holiday and I like to be able to keep up appearances so it's important to have a little bit of tan lotion in my face cream. The Dove Summer Revived Face Cream is great! It doesn't break me out and gives me a lovely natural glow. I use shade Medium - Dark.
In the same vein, I also like to bring with me a self-tanner for when that trusty spray tan starts fading away. My absolute favourite being the St Tropez Water Mousse. This goes on like a dream and is so so easy to apply! The best self tanner I have ever used and I don't say that lightly.
I tend to not need a full size deodorant when I'm travelling so I always bring a mini one with me. I use mens deodorants (honestly, if you don't you're missing a trick) and I like this Mitchum one! It doesn't smell too manly, but allows me to feel fresh for the whole day.
Lastly, a razor is also important. I have purchased and re-purchased this Venus Spa Breeze Razor for years and will continue doing so. It has built in shaving cream so you don't need to pack extra and it gives a really soft finish.

HAIR ESSENTIALS
I'm relatively easy going with my hair and enjoy it when it looks all beachy so I tend not to take too many products with me when travelling. However you'll always find four items with me. I love the Aussie Range and find they're so good to take travelling, so I always make sure to pick up one of their mini shampoo's - I like the Mega Shampoo. I also have to bring a conditioner too and I really like the L'Oreal Elvive range, particularly the detangling conditioner. When you've been in the pool all day like I have you know how in need of a detangling your hair will be! Aussie also do a mini hair mask which is actually so useful as your hair goes through all sorts of things when abroad. Chlorine, Heat... Suncream. So I always pack one of those too.
Last but not least my hair never holds a curl and so if I do decide to style it one evening, I have got to have hair spray otherwise it will just fall flat. The holy grail, L'Oreal Elnett comes in a mini size so that is 100% finding its way into my case.

MISCELLANEOUS ESSENTIALS
Ok so not skincare or beauty related, but for me equally as important! I love my Instax and it's so special when taking it on a trip as you really do take photos that will stay in your memory. It adds such a fun element and you can always look back on them with fondness.
I also have a polaroid picture book at home where I store all my polaroids from all the trips I've taken over the years. It's such a fun walk down memory lane!
