What's In My June Make Up Bag

what's in my make up bag
I am so excited to write about what's in my make up bag this month because I truly do think that I've finally found some staple items which will remain in my make up bag for quite some time now. Quite a few of the items in this months make up bag were also in last months make up bag, so I really must love them! I love writing these kind of posts and I love switching up the bits in my make up bag but truly, I am in love with everything in my bag this month. Let's discuss these beautiful items...
The Make Up Bag - The bag itself is from Aromatherapy Associates and you may have seen me discuss it on my recent Holiday Essentials post. It's a beautiful weekend beauty bag but it's perfect for me for every-day use because I always seem to have so much stuff in my make up bag. It is great for travelling too though and I'll definitely be taking it on holiday with me because it's so deep and fits all my bits and pieces in, I also love the colour of it and it's wipe clean so it won't get dirty like all my other bags tend to.

Honey Bronze Brilliance Powder The Body Shop

When it comes to bronzers, there are two that I have been using this month and both are from the same collection, my new favourite Summer collection, The Body Shop Honey Bronze.

Honey Bronze Brilliance Powder: £16.00 -  Now I did discuss this on my Body Shop Honey Bronze post and say just how much I love it. I've been using this just along my cheeks and I don't think it's as dark as some bronzers but it does give a really nice illuminated glow, it's quite difficult and weird to go from a full on bronzer like Nars Laguna to this because it is actually really quite light, it just gives a natural glow I'd say, it's more shimmery than brown. I would say this is more of an illuminating/glowy powder rather than something with a lot of colour in it.

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder The Body Shop
Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder - £13.00: Another bronzer which featured on my honey post but truly, I am in love. Lots of people commented and said that they also love this bronzer and now I can see why. It's absolutely dreamy, it's not too dark whatsoever, in fact, I thought it would be too light for me but it's really not, it just gives a gorgeous hint of goldness/tan rather than making you look orange. I put this all over my face for an all over warm look but obviously focus mainly on my cheeks.

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara - Mascaras don't usually impress me because I feel like I've tried them all, but the minute I put this onto my eye lashes I actually gasped. This makes my lashes look so long and fluttery, I'd say fluttery is the perfect word to describe the look you get with this mascara, playful and fluttery. It really reminds me of Benefit's They're Real Mascara but it's cheaper. I find that with just one layer of this my lashes look really long, it isn't very black so you do need to put a few layers on to get a really dark dramatic look. It's designed to give instant volume and I'd say it most definitely does that. If you buy one mascara, make sure it's this one.

daisy dream marc jacobsmarc jacobs daisy dream

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume - World Duty Free - Now most of you will have seen me raving about Marc Jacobs fragrance on my Instagram (emshelx). World Duty Free are the first to showcase Daisy Dream, the gorgeous, new fragrance by Marc Jacobs, which launched on June 13th. It's such a pretty perfume, both the the bottle and the scent. The bottle is truly stunning and it will take pride of place in my bathroom. It's seriously the perfect Summer scent, to me, it smells extremely florally (which isn't a problem) but it’s actually a fusion of blackberry, grapefruit, pear and coconut water - I don't really mind what's inside it, it smells delicious and so Summery. The perfume is available exclusively in World Duty Free stores before the high street launch on July 15th
Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder - There's love and then there's love. This is love. As most of you will know by now, I love Vichy, so much. I've had this setting powder sitting around my room for quite some time now but when I read that one of my favourite models wears it, I decided to properly start wearing it in the hopes that it might make me look a tiny bit like her. I'm so glad I did because I love it. I've always loved the idea of translucent powders but always been scared that they'll make me pale, make me break out or just not really work. This gets rid of shine, I don't need to reapply my make up throughout the day, I've had the same make up on from 8am-7.30pm and it looks absolutely fine. I put it all down to this powder and it's setting abilities. My only issue with this product is that too much comes out, I've probably lost half of it on the floor or from blowing it off my brush.

Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser
Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser - I've had this for quite some time now but I've loved using it this month. After burning my face on holiday it keeps going extremely dry so I've been keeping this in my make up bag to re-hydrate my skin. I love Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, (find out why here) and this is just as good. I just wish I had a bigger pot of it for home use as this is my dinky travel pot. I use this when I'm out and about and travelling, I've never really taken a moisturiser in my handbag with me before. As I've mentioned lots of times, I like to use natural products on my skin now after having break outs and it doesn't get much more natural than this: cranberry seed oil, rose hip oil and natural vitamin E. Liz Earle is quickly becoming one of my favourite brands.

Benefit Gimme Brow
Benefit Gimme Brow - This really hasn't left my make up bag since I was kindly sent it back in March. Make sure you read my full review of Benefit's Gimme Brow to find out why I love it so much but basically it's fabulous, particularly for those of us who aren't that great with brow brushes and brow sets. I literally glide this onto my brows for a really nice, natural, defined look. I will cry when this runs out, it's all you could ever want in a brow gel. This may just be the death of brow pencils. I didn't even think I cared about colouring in my eye-brows until I started to use this.

 The Body Shop InstaBlur
The Body Shop InstaBlur - This is what I've been using as my primer this month and I absolutely adore it, I think I've probably blogged about it before as I've used it lots recently. It's described as an all-new face perfector which blurs imperfections and gives you flawless photo-perfect skin instantly. I absolutely agree, it's also meant to banish shine for 12 hours which could also be why my make up has been staying on so well this month! Basically this is a multi-tasking primer and I absolutely love it, goodbye big pores, goodbye shine, goodbye blemishes, hello long lasting make up and hello natural, good to my skin! What more could you want?!
Vichy Dermablend FoundationVichy Dermablend Foundation - I think I feature this product at least once a month so I won't bore you with why I love it because you probably know by now that it's my favourite! Make sure you read my full Vichy Dermablend review. Vichy Dermablend foundation is designed for people with acne,  fortunately I don't have acne but figured that it must mean that it wont make people break out if wearing this and it really doesn't make me break out or clog my skin, it's like the perfect foundation if you don't want spots, as it's designed to prevent/hide them. It is extremely thick so I just put a tiny blob, smaller than a 5 pence piece on my chin and then use a brush to put it all over my face. It doesn't feel heavy on the face whatsoever though and it gives a gorgeous dewy look, even though it's thick if you blend it well it's absolutely fine and looks really fresh and nice.

nuxe reve de miel lip balm
Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm - I was kindly sent this by Escentual as part of their French Pharmacy month as they currently have 1/3 off all French Pharmacy products on their site. I absolutely love this lip balm and chose it after reading so many amazing reviews from fellow bloggers. I love anything French, anything with honey and anything that actually keeps my lips moisturised, and this is all of that rolled into one. It's only around £6.00 too!

Do you like any of these products? Have you used any of them? What's in your make up bag this month?
Lots of love, Em x
