Ah so yes, I have accumulated quite an array of new beauty products this month (and the month isn't even over yet!), so I thought I'd introduce you to a few of my new items. I also feel that most of these items tick the: 'Summer friendly' box as they are all beautiful to wear in the sunshine, the kinda colours that make you think of sun,sea and cocktails. So without further ado, meet my new best friends...
Clarins Skin Perfecting BB Cream - First up, my ultimate favourite product at the moment, Clarins Skin Perfecting BB Cream. A full review of this is coming ASAP so don't you worry. It is so fantastic that I just need to shout about it. This little beauty mimics foundation, your skin looks flawless and hydrated, but it's also good for your skin because it behaves just like skincare. With this, you can have make up free days, but still look like you're wearing a full face of make up. Oh and, it's super moisturising. I love it. Hello radiant and good skin days, welcome.
Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Nourishing Face Oil - This little gem (which looks absolutely gorgeous on any dressing table, in it's pretty little glass bottle) is designed for dehydrated skin. Every time I have a skin consultation, I am told that I have dehydrated skin, so this is the product for me. You basically apply this before moisturiser, it has lots of nutrients in it which nourish and protect the skin, including evening primrose oil to replenish essential fatty acids and give you soft and smooth skin, but it also contains white rose which keeps you looking youthful and radiant. I'm always on the look out for products which make me look radiant and 'glowing' in a Kim Kardashian kinda way so I will report back after a few weeks of using this. Exciting times.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Now which beauty blogger hasn't reviewed this? After watching Zoella discuss this on her beauty vlog, I just had to crumble and buy it. So there I stormed, into Boots to get my hands on it. It was around £8.00 from Boots, but it was on 3 for 2 so I got a free mascara with it and bought a concealer. It was difficult to choose the shade but I went with ivory. Crazy, but this foundation is basically identical to the much raved about Studio Fix Foundation by Mac Cosmetics. This is the complete and utter dupe of it. I feel that this is quite thick but it does feel moisturising and does make you glow because it's so shiny. You will need quite a lot of powder with this unless you like the shiny look. I do love it though for a cheap foundation and probably wont every rebuy Mac Studio Fix after using this, they may as well be the same product.
Urban Deacey Eye Shadow in Heartless - This is a really cute and quite a 'Valentines day' kinda shade. I think this will be really pretty in Summer, to wear with a nice white dress on a cute date or for a family day out. I love the subtle sheen to this colour, it makes it almost like a highlighter rather than an eye shadow.
Urban Decay Glide on Eye Pencil - I absolutely love these pencils. Particularly for Summer. I love the intensity of them, they surprised me so much because the colours are so vibrant and shiny. I keep lining my inner eyeline with the silver one to open up my eyes and give that fresh look. I love these for Summer.
Illamasqua Gel Eyeliner - This is such an easy to use eyeliner. If you haven't used gel eyeliners before then what have you been doing with your life? This literally stays on forever and ever and it glides on so easily in such a straight line. It literally doesn't budge. The colour is so intense too.
Illamasqua Nail Colours - These gorgeous nail colours are part of Illamasqua's paranormal collection. These colours just scream Summer. I can imagine these are going to be all over the Ibiza scene this year. I love the pink for just every day wear and I feel that the green would be more night out wear. They're so shimmery and happy. Can a nail varnish be happy? Yes it can. The glitter is so pretty.
Illamasqua Paranormal Palette - Stay tuned to see me testing this on my eyes and doing a full review and showing you what beautiful Summer looks you can create with it, a massive thank you to Illamasqua for sending me their Paranormal palette to try. I know that these bright colours are perfect for any Summer beauty lover. The purple is my favourite, it's such a cute playful colour. I was so surprised at how smooth these shadows feel and how intense they are colourwise, I really can't decide if it's a powder or a cream as they feel so spongey and easy to use. I really love the texture of them. Spongey is definitely how I'd describe them.
What colours will you be wearing this Summer? Do you want to try any of these items?Love Em x
PS. It would be insane if you could nominate me as 'best new beauty blog' in the Cosmopolitan blog awards 2013 if you feel like it! I can't thank you enough. PSPS. My immensley talented big brother (Adam Sheldon) has been shortlisted to win MTV's Student Of The Year competition, if you could take one second to vote for him here then we'd be so grateful!
