A List Of What To Take On Holiday

Hey everyone, so one more exam to go, which means I can blog today yay. So I guess we're all starting to think about holidays and most of you probably even have holidays booked (I'm jealous of those of you who do) so it's time to think about essential items to take with you I suppose. Every year I google 'which is the best waterproof mascara' and 'which sun tan cream should I buy'. So this is the first of my holiday posts for you. Obviously there's the standard waterproof mascara, suncream and passport that you'll be needing, but, here are a few other things that I think you may want to take...

1] PRIMERThisWorks In Transit Camera Close-up: They describe this as a portable pick-me up that evens, plumps and brightens instantly. A cheeky little three in one, mask, moisturiser and primer. What more could you want? Who wants to weigh their bag down with three items when you can take this instead? It's very good for the skin of course and superbly natural, containing repairing plant oils, hyaluronic acid, argan and starflower oils and caffeine to make it revitalising.  If this was edible, I guarantee it would be your diet food, healthy and makes you feel good about yourself.  I just love this product because it is so moisturising, yet also acts as a primer. The perfect travel/holiday essential, less product to cart around, but keeps your face moisturised instead of letting the sun dry it out. Also, you could wear this with a tan and not have to even apply make up as it smooths lines etc. It'll also make your tan last longer as it's kind of like putting after sun on. I will do a full review as soon as I've used it more.

2] MAKE UP WIPES - ThisWorks In Transit No Traces: Everyone should probably take face wipes with them everywhere, just incase. Now, these are super high-end make up wipes but they're worth it. Superduper cute with rosewater and mint water at the top of the ingredient list, making them gentle to the skin and meaning that they fight impurities, whats not to love? Naturally, as a girl I love the size of them they're really cute little circles and they're really wet so they do really remove everything. I stopped using face wipes after hearing how bad they are for your skin so when I was sent these, I was excited - they are expensive - I think you get 60 pads for around £17.00 but, they're cute, look good in your bedroom and they're better for your skin than normal face wipes so they're worth a shot

3] SUNGLASSES - These Ray-Ban Sunglasses (The Ray-Ban 3025 Aviator) are my favourite new thing (they'll be featured on another post very soon - lots of posts actually as I loveee them) but they were from Sunglasses Shop which sell glasses so much cheaper than the norm, with amazing discounts and lucky for you, I'm giving a pair away in the next couple of weeks because Sunglasses Shop are so lovely so watch this space. Sunglasses, particularly aviators are essential for holidays, especially when I'm looking horrendous on the first day and need to cover up my face. Also great for checking people out, as they can't tell where you're looking. These come in handy as a mirror as well, 3 in one baby.

4] TRAVEL FRIENDLY SKIN CARE - Nourish Skin Care Protect Mini Kit -  Ah I love this brand, one of my first ever blog posts was about Nourish's skincare range, you can read it here. This cute little travel set (full review coming soon) is literally the most perfect thing for a holiday, it wont take up much space in your bag, it looks so beautiful but the products are just perfect for your travels. You get an easy to use cleanser, a hydrating toner - perfect for long haul flights when your skin needs refreshing (you can spray it over make up), a repairing oil, this would come in handy if you had a break out or got sunburn but also, it stops dryness, which is just what you need when you've been worshipping the sun all day.

5] Nail Varnish - I always make sure I take nail varnish on holiday with me, just in case my nails chip. Although, the sun is really good for growing your nails, so it's up to you if you want to go bare. If you don't fancy the french manicure look, this 'Sand Tropez' by Essie is my new favourite nude, it goes with everything and it's just an easy wear. Plus, it never seems to chip. It's one of those nail varnishes which looks amazing after one coat. The perfect colour to wear on a sandy beach.

6] LIPBALM - Lanolips 101 Ointment - I feel like you need a lip balm with you anywhere and everywhere, I do anyway, I love taking care of my lips. I always have about 5 of them flying around my bag. This is my current favourite, it's insanely good for dry lips because it's got 100% ointment in it, you can use this on general dry skins, cuticles etc and not just the lips which makes this the perfect accessory for your hand luggage or you beach bag. Goodbye dry cuticles and dry lips. Hey moisture.

7] BB CREAM - Clarins BB Cream - I literally LOVE BB cream at the moment. I am going to be doing a post fully reviewing all the BB's that I've been trying out, as I feel like I need to make a 'which BB cream should I buy' little post for you all. This is great for the first day of your holiday, when you don't dare to bare your skin but you still want a tan - it still covers your face like foundation, it gets rid of redness and impurities but it's brimming full of goodness, unlike nasty foundation, it's also got an SPF of 25 and is uber moisturising. I was given this by a beauty website which I've just discovered called Escentual, its £22.40 on this website whilst places like Debenhams charge £27.00 for this. Think I'll be using this website in the future for all of my beauty needs.

8] HAIR REMOVAL TOOLS - Veet Home Waxing Kit - Veet sent me this lovely little waxing kit and I'll admit that I was quite scared at first. This was a little thing they were doing with bloggers, where they sent us a nice little holiday set. Granted, so you may not want to take this with you on holiday, you can if you want as it is portable, but you can also just do this a few nights before you go on holiday. There are two Veet products on my holiday essentials photo, one is for face/eyebrow hairs, it's a simple little stick which is only £9.99, perfect to take on holiday to just wax away hairs on your eye brows or general facial area. The second is slightly bigger but still not that big, an actual wax kit, I did find that it took ages to heat up (about 30 mins) but that's just me being impatient, I will do a full review of this soon. Hello smooth legs.

9] PARACETAMOLS - ThisWorks In Transit Muscle Therapy - Okay, so obviously you'll be taking some sort of pain killer on your travels with you, just incase or maybe for your hangover. Again, another piece from the new 'In Transit' range from ThisWorks (fave new brand) - you simply massage this into your muscles and it relieves the burn from aching muscles. You can also use it for headaches, so it's essential for travelling and holidays, no one wants to feel unwell abroad or have a hangover for too long. Again, a full review of this product will be up soon!

10] ANTI-BACTERIAL HAND GEL - I love this one from Marks and Spencer, I think it's £1.25 or something equally cheap, but it lasts forever and especially when travelling and touching things that millions of others have touched, (I use it on the tubes in London all the time, imagine how many people have gone down those escalators?!) I obsess over using antibacterial hand gel when I leave my house. It's a must have for your travels.

Obviously don't forget your bikinis, flip flops, passport, waterproof mascara and suncream!
Are you going away anywhere nice this Summer? What will you be taking with you?
Lots of love, Em x
