Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Fragrances 2026 Review: Berry Jelly, Caramel Crunch & Cola Fizz

Victor&Rolf Bonbon Fragrances

Affiliate Throughout: There are some perfume launches that arrive and immediately make me excited and the new Viktor&Rolf BonBon collection is one of those.

I have been a fan of Viktor&Rolf for years and, when I was younger, Flowerbomb was my absolute go-to Christmas fragrance. I can still remember that gorgeous, slightly magical feeling of wearing it during the festive season. It is one of those perfumes that has become intertwined with memories for me, which is exactly why I was so intrigued when I heard that Viktor&Rolf were expanding their iconic Bonbon fragrance world for 2026.

And these aren't subtle new additions.

The new Viktor&Rolf Bonbon collection is playful, sweet, nostalgic and completely unapologetic. There are three new Eau de Parfums: Bonbon Berry Jelly, Bonbon Caramel Crunch and Bonbon Cola Fizz, each taking a different sugary treat and turning it into perfume.

I've been wearing all three recently and, spoiler alert, Caramel Crunch is my favourite.

Berry Jelly is a very close second and is the one I think so many people are going to love. Cola Fizz is  my least favourite of the three, but I certainly don't dislike it. In fact, it gives me the most incredible childhood flashback because it smells remarkably like those bags of fizzy cola bottles I used to have as a child!

So, let's talk about the new Viktor&Rolf Bonbon fragrances properly, I'm here to tell you all about them.

Who are Viktor&Rolf?

Before we get into the perfumes, let's talk about the brand.

Viktor&Rolf is the Amsterdam-based fashion house founded by designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren in 1993. The brand has always been known for its conceptual approach to fashion, combining art, couture, drama and a slightly surreal sense of humour. Over the years, that vision has expanded beyond fashion into fragrance, bridalwear, eyewear and ready-to-wear.

And I think that background is important when you're looking at their perfumes.

Viktor&Rolf don't really do boring.

Their fragrances have personality. They are designed to make you feel something and, quite often, to make you remember something.

For me, Flowerbomb was that fragrance.

Viktor&Rolf introduced Flowerbomb as their first women's fragrance and it went on to become one of their most recognisable creations. It is a rich floral scent built around jasmine, rose, peony, freesia, vanilla and warm amber, and I can completely understand why it became such an icon.  I can't even tell you how much I love this fragrance and how many memories it evokes when I wear it.

And then came Bonbon

What is Viktor&Rolf Bonbon?

The original Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Eau de Parfum is a gourmand fragrance centred on one very indulgent ingredient: caramel, just like the toffee bon bon sweet.

The bottle itself is almost as recognisable as the perfume, with its sculptural sweet-inspired shape and signature bow. Viktor&Rolf describe Bonbon as a celebration of pleasure and indulgence, and that's exactly how it feels.

The new 2026 collection takes that idea and pushes it even further.

Rather than simply creating three variations of the original Bonbon, Viktor&Rolf have taken three very different sweet-shop inspirations and turned them into individual fragrances.

And I have to say, I absolutely love the idea.

What are the 3 new Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Fragrances 2026?

There are three new scents in the collection:

Bonbon Berry Jelly
Bonbon Caramel Crunch
Bonbon Cola Fizz

All three are Eau de Parfums and all three come in 50ml bottles, currently priced at £84 each in the UK on the official Viktor&Rolf website.

But they are VERY different.

What does Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Berry Jelly smell like?

This is the fruity one and, alongside Caramel Crunch, it is one of my favourites.

Bonbon Berry Jelly is built around a raspberry jelly accord, with blackcurrant absolute at the heart and peony accord forming the base.

For me, this is juicy, sweet and playful without feeling like a cheap, overly synthetic fruity body spray.

There is something very nostalgic about it.

It reminds me of sweets, but there is still enough of that Viktor&Rolf polish underneath to make it feel like a proper perfume rather than simply smelling like confectionery.

If you love fruity perfumes, particularly raspberry and berry scents, I think you'll really enjoy this one.

Is Bonbon Berry Jelly sweet?

Yes it is absolutely sweet.

But I don't find it unpleasantly sweet. It is a juicy, playful sweetness rather than something that feels heavy.

If you like fruity gourmand perfumes, this is definitely one to try.

What does Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Caramel Crunch smell like?

Now we get to my favourite.

Bonbon Caramel Crunch is the one I have been reaching for most.

And honestly, it smells delicious.

The fragrance opens with buttery popcorn, moves into salted caramel and then settles into a warm vanilla base.

It sounds incredibly sweet when you read those notes, but the popcorn and salted element gives it a little bit of contrast.

That is what makes it work for me.

I love a gourmand fragrance, but I don't necessarily want to smell as though I've emptied a jar of vanilla icing over myself. The salty, buttery popcorn note gives Caramel Crunch something interesting underneath all that deliciousness.

It reminds me of being at the cinema with a huge bag of popcorn, but then someone has somehow added the most gorgeous salted caramel and vanilla.

It is cosy.

It is indulgent.

It is playful.

And I absolutely love it.

Is Bonbon Caramel Crunch my favourite?

Yes!

Of the three new Bonbon fragrances, Caramel Crunch is definitely my winner.

If you like warm, sweet, creamy, comforting fragrances, I would start here.

I also think this is the one that will work particularly beautifully as we move towards autumn and winter.

Although, having said that, I'm not someone who believes you have to save a gourmand fragrance for cold weather. If you love it, wear it!

What does Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Cola Fizz smell like?

This is the most unusual of the three.

Bonbon Cola Fizz takes inspiration from an ice-cold fizzy cola and combines a cola accord with zesty lemon and white musk.

Now, this is my least favourite of the three but I want to make that very clear because I don't dislike it.

Actually, I think it's really clever.

It just isn't the fragrance I would naturally reach for.

The funny thing is that it immediately transported me back to childhood. I used to love fizzy cola bottles and it smells just like those.

So while Caramel Crunch is the one I would choose for myself, Cola Fizz might actually be the most fun of the three for someone who wants a fragrance that is completely different.

Which Viktor&Rolf Bonbon fragrance is the best?

This is obviously completely subjective, but Caramel Crunch is my favourite.

My personal ranking would be:

1. Bonbon Caramel Crunch : warm, delicious, cosy and addictive.

2. Bonbon Berry Jelly : juicy, fruity, playful and incredibly wearable.

3. Bonbon Cola Fizz : fun, nostalgic and unusual, but not the one I'd reach for most often.

However, I genuinely think your favourite will depend on what type of perfume you normally wear.

If you love gourmand fragrances, try Caramel Crunch.

If you love fruity perfumes, try Berry Jelly.

If you want something playful, fizzy and completely different, try Cola Fizz.

Are the new Viktor&Rolf Bonbon fragrances gourmand perfumes?

Yes.

The whole Bonbon concept is rooted in indulgence and gourmand fragrance, but the three new scents interpret sweetness in different ways.

Caramel Crunch is the most obviously gourmand to my nose, with popcorn, salted caramel and vanilla.

Berry Jelly takes the gourmand idea into juicy fruit territory.

Cola Fizz is the brightest and most effervescent, combining cola, lemon and white musk.

Are the new Bonbon fragrances sweet?

Yes these are definitely fragrances for people who enjoy sweetness.

But they aren't all sweet in exactly the same way.

Caramel Crunch = warm, buttery, creamy sweetness.

Berry Jelly = juicy, fruity sweetness.

Cola Fizz = fizzy, citrusy, sugary sweetness.

That is one of the things I really like about this collection. There is enough variation that you can choose the type of sweetness that suits you.

Are Viktor&Rolf Bonbon fragrances suitable for everyday wear?

Absolutely.

I think gourmand fragrances sometimes get labelled as evening perfumes, but I don't think that's accurate here.

Caramel Crunch is one I would happily wear during the day, particularly in autumn and winter, while Berry Jelly feels especially easy for daytime.

Cola Fizz is probably the most playful of the three and would be gorgeous for holidays, weekends or whenever you want something a little bit different.

Are Viktor&Rolf Bonbon fragrances long-lasting?

As with any perfume, longevity will vary depending on your skin, how much you spray and where you apply it.

The new Bonbon fragrances are Eau de Parfums, rather than Eau de Toilettes, and Viktor&Rolf recommend spraying onto the skin and allowing the fragrance to develop naturally. They also suggest applying fragrance to areas such as the creases of the elbows and knees, where warmth can help intensify the scent.

Personally, I always recommend giving a fragrance time to develop before deciding whether you love it.

The first five minutes aren't necessarily the fragrance you're going to be wearing three hours later.

Can you layer the new Viktor&Rolf Bonbon fragrances?

Yes and this is where you can really have some fun.

Viktor&Rolf have actually designed combinations within the collection.

Berry Jelly + Cola Fizz = Bonbon Jelly Sour

Caramel Crunch + Cola Fizz = Bonbon Sugar Fizz.

There are also Bonbon layering bundles available, including the Sugar Fizz combination and other pairings.

I particularly like the idea of adding a little Cola Fizz to Caramel Crunch. If you're worried that Caramel Crunch might be too sweet, the lemon and cola notes should give it a brighter, more sparkling edge.

Are the new Bonbon perfumes unisex?

They sit within Viktor&Rolf's women's fragrance collection and are marketed as fragrances for women, but as always with perfume, wear whatever you love.

Scent doesn't have to have a gender and there are many 'men's' fragrances I love wearing.

If you like caramel, berries, cola, vanilla or any combination of them, that's really all that matters.

Are the Bonbon fragrances good gifts?

I think they are gorgeous gifts.

Firstly, the bottles are absolutely beautiful and instantly recognisable.

Secondly, they are playful without feeling childish, which I think is quite difficult to get right.

And thirdly, if you're buying for someone who loves perfume, you have three very different options.

I'd choose Caramel Crunch for the gourmand lover, Berry Jelly for the fruity perfume fan and Cola Fizz for someone who loves unusual or nostalgic fragrances.

And, of course, the original Bonbon is still part of the collection if you'd prefer the classic caramel-led fragrance.

How much are the new Viktor&Rolf Bonbon fragrances?

The retail price for the each of the three new 50ml Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Eau de Parfums is £84 but in reality you can easily purchase them for nearer £70.

There are also Bonbon bundles available if you want to experiment with layering where you get 2 different bottles for around £145 which is very exciting.

Which Bonbon fragrance smells the most like sweets?

For me, Cola Fizz is actually the one that gives the strongest literal sweet-shop association.

That is because it has that unmistakable fizzy cola-bottle quality.

But if you're talking about a more sophisticated gourmand perfume that smells delicious and edible without smelling exactly like a sweet, I would choose Caramel Crunch.

Which Bonbon fragrance is best for autumn and winter?

For me, Caramel Crunch wins hands down.

The buttery popcorn, salted caramel and vanilla combination feels warm, cosy and incredibly comforting.

It is exactly the sort of perfume I can imagine reaching for with a chunky knit, boots and a cosy evening ahead.

And because I originally associated Viktor&Rolf with wearing Flowerbomb at Christmas, there is something rather lovely about coming full circle and discovering another Viktor&Rolf fragrance that feels so suited to that time of year.

Which Bonbon fragrance is best for spring and summer?

I'd choose Berry Jelly for spring and summer.

The raspberry, blackcurrant and peony combination feels brighter and juicier than Caramel Crunch, making it an easy choice when the weather is warmer.

Cola Fizz would also be fun in summer because of its sparkling cola and lemon character.

Is Viktor&Rolf Bonbon similar to Flowerbomb?

They are different fragrances, but they come from the same very recognisable Viktor&Rolf approach to perfume: bold, playful, feminine and deliberately indulgent.

Flowerbomb is a floral fragrance, with jasmine, rose, peony, freesia and vanilla creating its signature warm floral character.

Bonbon is much more gourmand, with caramel at its heart.

For me, Flowerbomb will always have that nostalgic Christmas association, whereas Bonbon feels more like a delicious sweet treat.

Is Viktor&Rolf Bonbon worth buying?

If you love sweet, gourmand or playful fragrances, yes, I think the new Bonbon collection is absolutely worth smelling.

I particularly like the fact that Viktor&Rolf haven't simply released three almost-identical sugary perfumes.

They have created three personalities.

Caramel Crunch is warm and indulgent.

Berry Jelly is fruity and juicy.

Cola Fizz is fizzy and nostalgic.

That makes the collection much more interesting.

My final thoughts on the Viktor&Rolf Bonbon 2026 collection

I have loved Viktor&Rolf fragrances for years, so perhaps I was always going to be predisposed to enjoying this collection. But having actually worn the three new Bonbon fragrances, I can honestly say that they have surprised me.

Caramel Crunch is my clear favourite.

It is delicious without being too much, warm without being heavy and has that gorgeous salted caramel, buttery popcorn and vanilla combination that I keep wanting to smell again.

Berry Jelly is a very close second and I think this could be the biggest crowd-pleaser of the three if you love fruity perfumes.

And then there is Cola Fizz.

It isn't my favourite, but I don't dislike it at all. In fact, I think it might be the one I remember most because of the nostalgia it creates.

It isn't of course just about what you smell like. It's about how a scent makes you feel, what it reminds you of and the memories you attach to it.

And that feels like the perfect way to bring me back to the new Viktor&Rolf Bonbon collection for 2026. From juicy Berry Jelly to nostalgic Cola Fizz and my personal favourite, the delicious Caramel Crunch, Viktor&Rolf have taken the idea of a sweet treat and turned it into something completely wearable, playful and luxurious. After all these years, I still love Flowerbomb, but I think I've just found myself a new Viktor&Rolf fragrance for the perfume shelf and Bonbon Caramel Crunch has definitely stolen my heart.

Lots of love,
