Drunk Elephant Sukari T.L.C. Babyfacial Review - Drunk Elephant Babyfacial Review

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Babyfacial Mask

Ad affiliate throughout - Hey guys, I hope you're well and enjoying the reviews of my favourite beauty products, today I wanted to start doing some Drunk Elephant product reviews as they're a brand I have actually been loving since 2019 can you believe. Long before they became the most viral Tiktok beauty brand with over 450 awards. I feel like Drunk Elephant need no introduction, the world has gone crazy for the brand and for good reason.

So far I've talked about the Drunk Elephant No. 9 Beste Jelly Cleanser for a refreshing and effective facial wash that doesn't leave the skin feeling tight {life hack: this is one of the best jelly cleansers on the market}.  I've also talked about two of my favourite hydrating products, Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Moisturiser {it made my 2023 favourites list, truly impeccable} and the super hydrating Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Water Facial Mask which you may have seen on my recent long haul flight. Your skin will drink this right up.

Of course, a good skincare routine wouldn't be complete without a great exfoliator.  Skin exfoliation offers so many benefits such as removing dead skin cells, unclogging those pores, stimulating cell renewal, boosting circulation, improving texture and tone and enhancing product absorption.  Put that way, why wouldn't anyone wish to exfoliate? That's why today I wanted to review actually one of the first ever Drunk Elephant products I tried, the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial.

Drunk Elephant's T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial is a much talked about exfoliating product and the main benefit I have found is that it seems to help me achieve a more radiant and even complexion.

In this blog post, I'll help you learn more about this product, bring you information about it and answer all the questions you may have about Drunk Elephant or the Babyfacial. I hope you enjoy.

What is T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial?

It's a powerful yet gentle facial mask designed to exfoliate and resurface the skin.  It's packed with a blend of alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) and the aim of it is to reveal a smoother more radiant complexion. It's famous for giving an instant glow, creating a smooth base and apparently even flattening spots / zits. Drunk Elephant are famous for their use of acids. Don't be scared of acids, they can be really beneficial for the skin depending on your personal needs.

How do you use T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial?

As with all Drunk Elephant products, this is simple to use: warm 3-5 pumps between your hands and pat on a thin and even layer on to clean, dry skin.  After 20 minutes rinse it off with warm water and pat dry.

What can I use after using Babyfacial?

Once rinsed off and dried, applying Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil is recommended to nourish, balance and restore the skin. I personally love the Marula Oil alone too, I have taken a mini on many trips with me and popped it all over my face for the most glowing complexion but you are supposed to use this after the Babyfacial too. If you're wondering if you simply have to use it after Babyfacial, the answer is no you don't have to but it is highly recommended and truly it's one of my favourite Drunk Elephant products standing by itself too! ps. It comes with a mini Virgin Marula oil so you can fall in love with it for yourself!

What specific skin concerns does Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Babyfacial tackle?

You might be wondering what does Drunk Elephant Babyfacial actually do? Is Drunk Elephant Babyfacial actually good? I've found it to be a bit of a multitask wonder actually, as it helps brighten my skin, close my pores and gives me a smooth and even texture. There's a reason this is one of the top raved about Drunk Elephant products.

Is Drunk Elephant's Babyfacial good for any skin type?

If you're wondering what skin type Drunk Elephant's Babyfacial is good for, then Babyfacial is suitable for all skin types (please use according to instructions of course).  However, particularly for people with sensitive skins, a patch test is highly recommended.  It's a fact that the high percentage of acids in this product can be too intense for some people so please do test and please do introduce your skin to it gradually. If you are used to using acids then of course, this will probably be better for you. The first time I personally used Babyfacial I felt a little sting which can be normal with acids, it was a little sting vs irritation. After prolonged use, I no longer feel this.

A side note : All Drunk Elephant products are designed with sensitive skins in mind but that does not mean your particular skin will not be sensitive to a certain ingredient.  As our skin is unique, please do test products carefully.

Another side note : Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial is NOT recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding parents. You might also be wondering if children can use the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial, whilst there are lots of gorgeous products for younger skincare lovers, younger fans and children under 12 shouldn't use Babyfacial due to their very active nature.

How much is Drunk Elephant Babyfacial?

It is available in a 50ml size for £72 and a midi 15mls for £26.

Is Babyfacial worth the money?

I am sure you're wondering if Drunk Elephant products are actually worth the money? This is a product which lasts a long time as it is used very sparingly only once a week so you will not have to buy it often.  I would therefore say that, for me personally, bearing in mind the radiance and smoothness it brings to my skin, it is worth every penny.

Does T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial use clean ingredients?

Yes, Drunk Elephant as a company revolve around creating products that are free from toxins, skin sensitisers and irritants allowing the skin to thrive on its own. The brand believes in using clinically effective ingredients that directly benefit the skin without the use of unnecessary additives.   Nevertheless, everyone's skin is individual and as this is a potent product it is worth patch testing before use.

Does Sukari Babyfacial sting?

As mentioned, I feel a very mild stinging sensation when I apply this product but it quickly subsides and I believe this is normal due to the high concentration of acids.  If you experience excessive discomfort or irritation, it is advisable to rinse the product off immediately and consult with a skin care professional.  To prevent any excessive irritation in the first place, a patch test is advisable first.

How often can I use Drunk Elephant Babyfacial?

One of the most asked questions is how often should Drunk Elephant Babyfacial be used. Drunk Elephant recommend using  it once a week.  The potent formula means you should be careful when integrating this in to your skin care routine so that you don't over exfoliate.  I love this product and it works well on my skin but do patch test first and stick to the use instructions. You don't want to over exfoliate, it's a fine balacing act. The below should help and yes I know the pink is SO cute. Drunk Elephant have been giving Barbie Core since before Barbie Core was a thing.

How long should I leave Drunk Elephant T.L.C Babyfacial on?

The recommended time for leaving the TLC Babyfacial on is 20 minutes and I would absolutely ask you to stick to this guideline.  Some of the gentler products can be left on longer but as this contains potent ingredients, leaving longer could lead to irritation.  I am strict with it and I have always got on well with it. I personally see people saying this is a wonder product for a facial reset, once per month and I've found that works well for me so a bottle will last you a long time if you use it in this way.

To conlude, is Drunk Elephants Babyfacial worth the price? Is Drunk Elephants Babyfacial worth the price tag? In my opinion? Absolutely. I hope I've answered all you need to know about Drunk Elephant's T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial.  For me, alongside many other Drunk Elephant products, this has been a skin care game-changed and has delivered a real spa-worthy exfoliation experience in the comfort of my own home. It leaves my skin feeling radiant and smooth. I've found it's helped to create a smooth canvas for my make up and works for me as a reset once a month. Remember, it contains potent ingredients and finding the right skin care routine often involves trial and error so do patch test.  Here's to a happy, healthy and glowing skin!
