Winter Party Outfit Ideas

black leather military jacketI'm a sucker for a nice winter outfit and on this blog post, I've got two to show you. If you've watched any of my haul videos, you'll know I get a little overly excited when it comes to winter clothes. Overly excited? More like borderline obsessed. No-one needs as many coats/jackets/fluffy things but hey, life is for living and fashion? That's how I get my kicks. Do you know what I also love though? Clothes that don't cost the earth, but look expensive. I guess that's why I'm excited to show you these pieces, a 4 key pieces to take you through winter and keep you looking fierce. Read on.

The whole look is from new, up and coming, on everyone's tongues, ISAWITFIRST, a beautiful online store with the best discounts ever. I managed to get all of this at 50% off and let's just say, it was cheaper than my weekly supermarket shop. I've never owned or seen a dress like this one (online here) before but I love it. I see it as a fun, sophisticated and feminine cocktail dress, but could be worn for dinner/events/date night, you name it (I'm wearing it for date night tonight actually). It hugs in the right places and comes with a leotard underneath for a mesh feel. I paired it with a fierce jacket which I absolutely love, mainly because I'm a sucker for gold on anything, I feel like it's warmer and smarter than silver. I love the military style jackets, if they're your thing, ISAWITFIRST have a gorgeous one here too.

I took it for a pre-date night spin in the grounds of one of my favourite hotels, Rudding Park. The dress just happily floats along and is so easy to wear but so flattering, whether it's date night or New Years Eve.

I was worried that the jacket may not go with the dress but actually, I think the military style works really well with the flirty, feminine and floaty style of the dress. However, I wanted to show you the military jacket styled in another way, just incase...

I'm sure you'll agree, that with a leather skirt (absolute wardrobe essential), and closed up, the jacket looks just as fierce. I find with military jackets, they tend to be longer and it's nice to have this in faux leather form, I've never seen anything like it. Even better though, the jacket was incredibly affordable, I couldn't quite believe it when I snapped these two up. A leather skirt is a wardrobe essential and this jacket is just beautiful, whether it's with jeans or a leather skirt for a nighttime look.

Last but not least, the show stopper, the fluffy heel. If you watched my party essentials video, you'll know I mentioned these in there, my absolute favourites for transforming any outfit, whether it's an all black look with jeans or, the two looks I've shown you above.
