What's In My December Make Up Bag

whats in my make up bag blogger

Hello! Another beauty post from me hooray - I felt the need to spam you all with beauty posts because I just haven't written about beauty properly for a few weeks and that makes me really sad! This is called 'what's in my December make up bag' but it's actually 'what's in my November make up bag' too because I've been using these products throughout the whole of November and I'm continuing to use them throughout December too...
sewlomax sweet on you make up bag

The bag itself was kindly sent to me by a new exciting waxing brand (more on that soon), but it's made by SewLomax - it's so cute! It actually reminds me of Summer though and I feel like I should have more of a festive make up bag this month but hey, who cares.

Benefit Rockateur
Benefit Rockateur - I am so excited to finally be using this - I personally find this the ultimate contouring bronzer/blusher rolled into one. For me, it has the intensity of a bronzer because of the gold tones but also gives a beautiful flush of colour too. You could probably use it as a bronzer, highlighter and blusher! It's actually a rose gold cheek powder but I love the depth of it so prefer it as a bronzer. Thank you to Benefit for surprising me with this! You can buy this on ASOS for only £23 which is so good actually! I think so anyway but then again, I am a huge Benefit lover and they can do no wrong in my eyes.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Lip balm
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Lip balm - I actually got this from WorldDutyFree (we all love airport shopping) and ah I've wanted it forever. My Mum has actually been using the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour set for years after I bought her it in the airport and now I'm the same - hooked. I just wish this lasted a bit longer, I wouldn't say this keeps my lips super moisturised for 8 hours. I love how it feels and I love how soft it makes my lips feel but it doesn't make them stay soft all day, you do have to reapply.

mac boldy bare vs nars rosebud

Nars Lipliner in Rosebud and MAC Lipliner in Boldy Bare - I've been tossing and turning between two lip pencils these past few months, Nars and MAC - Nars rosebud (full review here) (bottom colour) is a little bit deeper but still natural whereas MAC boldly bare is more pinky, neutral and super natural but it still defines the lips - you can get it in the nicest Christmas set here from Selfridges too - absolutely love it for Kylie Jenner lips! I love them both for different reasons and feel like they're absolute beauty essentials. I'm so happy I've become hooked to lip liner recently.

kiko highlighter
KIKO Highlighter/Bronzer - I was kindly sent this product to play around with and well, it's actually in my make up bag because it looks so beautiful. I'd say this product adds a nice highlighted touch and I like that it's multitasking because you can use it as a bronzer too but I am still getting used to it. It isn't a holy grail product as of yet, I need to wear it in a little bit. That aside, holy moly look how beautiful it is? To me, this is just the most beautiful cheek product I own. I can't stop starting at it. KIKO always impress me with the presentation of their products.

nars copacabana
Nars Copacabana - Ah I was quite disappointed in myself for buying this product because I so didn't need it really whatsoever. I am the queen of highlighters and just continue to buy them even though I already own way too many. I went ahead and bought it anyway and now wish I didn't because I think it's probably more for pale people - I much prefer golden tones rather than silver in my highlighters! You can get this one for only £22 here on ASOS at the moment though which is pretty good. This is more of a Winter highlighter but I can't wait for Summer so I can get my golden ones back out!

Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Highlighter and Concealer
Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Highlighter and Concealer - I bought this because I just fancied a new highlighter and concealer and this is a two in one so I thought it was an easy option. Unfortunately it's really not that great at concealing, it doesn't cover bad spots anyway. I'd say it's much better as a highlighter but again, I personally wouldn't buy it again. It was really cheap, only like £5 but still, I was expecting better.

YSL Teint Touche Eclat Foundation
YSL Touche Eclat Foundation - I treated myself to this foundation and I do really like it so far, I  wouldn't say it lasts as long as I'd hope and it is very light, it feels nice to wear. I was hoping the coverage would be much better but I think I'm going to start mixing it in with my Illamasqua Skin Base foundation for extra coverage on bad skin days. This is only £30 here at Selfridges which isn't that bad, I'm sure it used to be much more expensive! This is definitely one for the Christmas list.

Vitamin C+ Brighten Eye Cream - Una Brennan - I love Una Brennan and have sworn by her rose face mask for literally years and years. It's a life staple. I got so excited when I saw this because I love using vitamin C, it's great on the face and I love my Kiehl's vitamin C day cream so much so an under eye version is even more exciting. This is really lovely for under the eyes - it does seem to calm my eye area down, relax it and make the skin feel softer and more hydrated.

Have you used any of these products? Do you like the look of them? What products are you loving in your make up bag at the moment?

Lots of love, Em x
