3 More Inches Hair Care - I've started using the 3 More inches range this month and I am SO excited about it. I always carry a brush or a comb everywhere with me and this month I've been using my new 3 More Inches one. I was kindly contacted by the team at 3 More Inches and got slightly excited as I'm desperately trying to grow my hair back, you can read all about my hair growth journey here. Basically, the 3 More Inches range by Michael Van Clarke promises to naturally slow down the ageing process of hair which means it will stay stronger and healthier and will grow naturally thicker and longer. I am going to try these products out for at least a month so that as always, I can give you an honest opinion. Here's to long hair (I hope!)
Speaking of haircare, I've run out of my usual Bastiste Dry Shampoo and this month I have been lucky enough to try out a brand called Unite. I received Unite's 7 Seconds Refresher Shampoo in the post and it promises to preserve hair colour, remove excess oil, increase volume and leave no visible powder. I did find this a lot less powdery than the usual dry shampoo, I also did feel that it's fresher, I'm often left feeling quite dirty when I put dry shampoo on, with this being more refreshing, it makes you feel clean which I guess is the job of dry shampoo. I have also noticed that my colour has lasted much longer this month which could be down this using this. I love this product but it is quite expensive at $28.00 on their official website.
In terms of foundation, this month I have been wearing L'Oreal's Nude Magique Eau De Teint. This foundation has so many mixed reviews but personally I really like it, apparently a lot of people feel that the coverage is bad but I found it gave me a really good medium coverage after only applying a few little blobs. I don't know if I like the fact that it drips out of the bottle really quickly like water, but it does mean that I feel fresh faced and light when wearing this. I did a full review of the foundation which you can read here.
Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess is just as divine as it looks. It's the only bronzer I've had that I haven't dropped and smashed, let's hope it stays that way as it's so beautiful to look at. Some bronzers tend to go grey on my cheeks but this doesn't at all, it's such a gorgeous yet natural colour and actually great for contouring too. I'm going to be putting lots of Estee Lauder goodies on my Christmas list.
If you know me you'll know that I am obsessed with Burberry make up and this has to be my favourite lipstick ever. It's a touch darker than the standard nude so it still manages to make my lips look full without looking like I've got too much make up on and without being so nude that it looks like I just have foundation on my lips. I'm just gutted because silly me managed to snap this beautiful lippy. Burberry's No.206, nude cashmere has taken the top spot in my favourite lipsticks.
Ah I bought Max Factor's Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Copper recently and I am pretty obsessed with it. I saw a review of it on a blog, I'm really sorry but I can't remember who (let me know if it was you) and it looked incredible so I put it straight on my Boots shopping list. It's actually really subtle but I bought it because I thought the colour was different to my usual pink blushers and really suitable for Autumn. I wish I found cream blushes easy to apply but I just don't, I do prefer powder blushes. As much as I adore the colour of this, it is really subtle when applied and I just hate cream blushes.
Any instagram followers of mine (emshelx) will know that I've been sporting a yellow nail varnish this month. I decided that I'd brighten the mood by painting my nails bright yellow because well, it doesn't look like the sunny weather is coming back anytime soon. Butter London nail varnishes excite me a lot, the packaging is gorgeous as are the colours and I only needed two coats to get a really vibrant, strong colour. It did start to chip after two days or so but this was without a top coat so I will have to test it with a top coat to see how well it stays put.
I've been using my Shu Uemura eyelash curlers recently, I've bought these twice now as I lost my old pair. They used to be known as pretty much the best eyelash curlers on the market and they are really good but they don't come with a refillable little sponge bit so once you lose that, you may as well throw them away unless you can find one to fit somewhere else. They do give incredibly curly lashes without heat and are well worth the money though.
Lastly, I bought Nars Blush in Orgasm ages ago and have started reusing it. I personally don't like it as much as my Clinique Blush, I find the colour is a bit too sparkly for me and quite intense, but I do love Nars as a brand and it's made me want to buy some more of their stuff. Next up, I'm going to try their Sheer Glow Foundation and Laguna Bronzer.
What products are you using this month? Have you used any of the products above? What would you recommend me trying next month?
Lots of love, Em x
