GLAMGLOW Super-Mud Clearing Treatment Review

Ahhh hello everyone, I am so so sorry for the delay, if you follow me on Twitter you'll be aware that i've had exams and the revision for them completely took over my life (hence all my moaney tweets, sorry haha) but I am back now, for good and, I get Thursdays off Uni so finally have some free time, which means all my time will be dedicated to my blog. Hooray. So, as you'll have probably guessed, I have some incredible new products to talk to you about from over the Christmas period and I thought  why not start with a new personal favourite of mine, from one of my favourite brands, GLAMGLOW. Now, if you haven't heard of GLAMGLOW before, you can read about their general mud mask on my other blog post by clicking here. If you have read my previous review, you'll know that I swear by their 'facial in a jar', even though, i'm not really a person who uses face masks, GLAMGLOW has made me change that and this is why, I got beyond excited when I found out that they've brought a new product out, I'd like to introduce you to their new Super-Mud Clearing Treatment.

So first, the packaging. As per, GLAMGLOW deliver with their simple yet beautiful packaging, for me, I prefer products when they're presented nicely so I was really excited when I saw that the packaging for this product is white, as it means it fits perfectly in my fresh white bedroom. My favourite thing about GLAMGLOW packaging is that when you open the box, it always says something like 'HELLO GORGEOUS' as you can see on the photo below, I think it's such a nice touch which no other beauty companies really do, it's a really feminine touch, I get so excited when I open it.

So you're probably wondering how this differs from the other GLAMGLOW face mask. What they say; 'A scientifically advanced SUPER-MUD™ clearing treatment to target, prevent, and heal problem skin. SUPER-MUD is the world’s most scientifically advanced mud clearing treatment, created to help fight all common skin concerns…' 'This formula was clinically developed by GLAMGLOW® dermatological chemists to help fight all common skin concerns, including breakouts, discolouration, black and white heads, razor bumps and in-grown hair.  This amazing detoxifying mud mask is fantastic for fighting all common skin concerns - it helps with the brightening and evening of the complexion; creates a more youthful and smooth skin tone; improves elastin and collagen; de-clogs and minimises pore size and fights unwanted breakouts, by reducing redness and super-speeding the healing process.' Erm so yeah, it's pretty much perfect according to the above and I have to agree.

How to use it: 'SUPER-MUD can be used as a full mask for the entire face or simply as a one-spot wonder solution! With SUPER-MUD you can visibly see the congestion pull-out from your pores as it dries, giving immediate results in just one use. Easily added to any skin care range, for all skin types - provides 17 full face applications or 1,000 spot treatments. ' I haven't actually used this as a 'one spot' treatment yet as I prefer to use it as a mask, but if you do use it like this, it really does justify the price as my Dermalogica over night clearing gel was £35.00.

What it is formulated WITHOUT: 'Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs , Triclosan'. So yeah, basically this mask is all good, it's essentially like a super food, but for your skin.
Immediately after washing this from my face my skin felt immaculate, a few days after it brought out my imperfections as face masks do and since, it's two weeks on now, my skin has been perfect. I would reccommend using this about a week and a half before a big event if you want really fresh skin just incase it does draw your imperfections out. Whilst the other mask is perfect to apply before make up, as it gives you a smooth base, this is similar and can be used in the same way, i find a lot more intense. It's also great if you've got some time off, for example over Christmas, as it opens up your pores and it actually tingles, you can feel it working within your pores.

When you put this on, you can actually see it going inside your pores, for example, on my nose I could see that it was working because it sort of indented into my pores and vacuumed the badness out. It's a different texture to the other GlamGlow mask and doesn't smell as strong. You don't have to put much on either for a good application. I like applying this because it really doesn't have any badness in it.

This product ranges from £35+ and now you can do a try it before you buy it type thing on their website where you can get samples for around £4.00, I would recommend having a try of either of their masks because they are insanely good, this is coming from me, who doesn't even wear face masks. If you compare this to a salon facial, it works out quite cheap as you get so many uses out of it because you use so little, that actually, this works out really cheap. My other GlamGlow mask is soon to run out and that's easily my go to item which I apply before a night out for perfect night out skin. This is great if you're having one of those typical 'I hate my face' days, but you want something full of good ingredients that will actually work. Try it and tell me i'm wrong...

Have you used GLAMGLOW or anything similar?

  6. I've heard so many great things about this product! Love how it sounds like it literally pulls the rubbish from your blog! Might pick up a pot when I go back to the States. I like how the all the ingredients are natural too as that's something I'm trying to do with my skincare in 2013 :)
