Very Festive Box and Advent Calendar

Very Festive Beauty Box

Advertorial: I absolutely LOVE an advent calendar. There is something about having a little beauty treat to open every day in December that makes the countdown to Christmas feel even more exciting and yes, I am very much talking about the grown-up kind!

If you’re anything like me, a beauty advent calendar is also the perfect excuse to discover new products, stock up on old favourites and have a little bit of luxury waiting for you every morning.

This year I’ve been having a serious look at advent calendars at Very, and there are some gorgeous options. Very is a great place to look at advent calendars to suit different interests, personalities and budgets.  From beauty to chocolate, toys and other festive favourites.  The one I’ve gone for personally is the Benefit Hotel Beneville Advent Calendar.

Benefit Beauty Box

My pick: Benefit Hotel Beneville Advent Calendar

I think Benefit has absolutely nailed the fun factor with this one.

The Benefit Hotel Beneville Advent Calendar has 24 beauty surprises behind the doors, including full-size products, minis, fun-sizes and some exclusive festive extras. It’s £149 and Benefit says the contents are worth £300+.

And because I already know and love so many Benefit products, this felt like such an easy choice for me.

Inside you’ll find some serious Benefit favourites including BADgal BANG! Mascara, 24-HR Brow Setter, Benetint and Cookie Highlighter, alongside Hoola bronzer, blushers, brow products, POREfessional skincare and several of their much-loved mascaras. There are also cute extras including a mirror and hair clips.

I particularly love that it isn’t just 24 random little beauty products. There are some proper Benefit icons in there that I know I’ll actually use.

And can we talk about the packaging? The Hotel Beneville theme is SO cute. It feels like a proper Christmas treat rather than just a box of products, which is exactly what I want from an advent calendar.

If you’re a Benefit girl, this one would definitely be high on my list.

The Very Festive Beauty Box

I’ve also spotted something else at Very which is a little different from an advent calendar the Very Festive Beauty Box.

This is actually a beauty gift box rather than a 24-day countdown, but I think it’s worth mentioning because it is such a good option if you want a big beauty treat without committing to an advent calendar.

The box costs £75 and Very says the contents are worth over £360, with 20 beauty products from brands including Benefit, Dyson and Elemis.

There’s a really lovely mix inside, including a mini Benefit Benetint, Dyson Chitosan Post Style Serum, Beauty Works, Caudalie, Elemis, Gatineau, Maybelline, Michael Kors, OPI, Patchology, Sensse and Wella. There are skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrance treats, so it feels much more like a complete beauty haul.

And there’s an extra little bit of excitement too…

20 of the boxes contain a Lucky Ticket, with each winner receiving a Shark LED Mask worth £299.99.

Now THAT would be a very good Christmas surprise!

If you want a more affordable advent calendar…

If £149 feels a little too much for an advent calendar, Very also has the Q-Ki 24 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar, currently £19.99.

This is much more of a budget-friendly option, with 24 little beauty surprises including makeup and beauty accessories. It would be particularly lovely for a teenager, a younger beauty lover or anyone who simply wants the fun of opening a door every day without spending a fortune.

I actually think this is a great option if you’re buying advent calendars for several people because you can get that lovely Christmas countdown feeling without the £100+ price tag.

Benefit Beauty Advent Calendar

So, which one would I choose?

For me, it has to be the Benefit Hotel Beneville Advent Calendar at Very.

I love that it has so many Benefit classics in it, there are some full-size products alongside the minis, and the whole thing feels fun and festive.

But if you’re looking for maximum beauty for your money, I would definitely have a look at the Very Festive Beauty Box too. £75 for more than £360 worth of beauty products is a pretty tempting proposition especially with the chance of finding one of those Shark LED Mask Lucky Tickets!

And if you’re shopping on a budget, the £19.99 Q-Ki calendar is a really easy little stocking-filler-style gift.

Basically, whether you’re buying for your mum, daughter, best friend… or, like me, buying one for yourself, I think beauty advent calendars are one of those Christmas treats that are just impossible not to get excited about.

Now I just need to resist opening mine before December 1st…
