Hello all! I know it may seem silly to start planning all our clothing essentials for Autumn seeing as we are currently smack bang in the middle of Summer, but trust me when I say, now is 100% the time!
Summer sales are making their appearance which is a great time to buy new pieces for Autumn as a lot of stock from Autumn 2022 will be on sale.
In this post I'll be listing what I believe to be the top wardrobe staples for Autumn 2023 and giving you the heads up on what you should be wearing during Autumn this year.
Fall styling is one of my favourites and I love it when the weather turns and I can break out all my knits ready to style up!

Best Jackets & Coats for Autumn
Probably the Fall essential... A Jacket. The months are getting colder and we're unable to prance around with bare shoulders anymore.
I always find from September till the end of October I can mostly get away with a really light jacket to keep myself. Think Trench Coats, Leather Jackets or anything lightweight. It's probably worth investing in a rain jacket also as if you're from the U.K. like myself, then it rains a lot here.

The Jacket Maker
I want to do a quick mention to the Jacket Maker who I discovered last year, they make womens leather jackets in the UK. They produce the most incredible women's leathers jackets which I've already mentioned to be an absolute Fall staple. The Jacket Makers started as a middle man between fast fashion and luxury prices. Once they'd conducted their research they learned that with luxury leather jackets only a fraction of the price the consumer is paying is going toward the jacket itself. Then on the other hand, they wanted to stay away from fast fashion as we know the terrible implications of that.
Everything is designed and manufactured in house, which means they can cut out all the unnecessary extra costs and provide the consumer with high quality jackets, for a fraction of the price!
I've had mine since last year and when I say I used it almost every single day...

Best Boots for Autumn
Another wardrobe essential that always comes out of storage in September is boots! No more sandals and flip-flops for me.
As we've seen since last year, Cowboy boots are having a serious moment and so I've found some really cool ones to include. I particularly love how they're being styled with floaty dresses - such a fun look!

Best Accessories for Autumn
Autumn accessories! So much fun and so many different items to play around with. From Scarves and hats to handbags there are so many more ways we can add some playful elements to our outfits.
I've been a fan of the Burberry classic check scarf for years and will continue to talk about it... Probably forever at this point.
But I love how so many designers are bringing out their own versions now. A scarf is very much a staple!
Handbags are universal all year but I have put on some that I have my eye on and may invest in... It's always interesting to see what the fashion houses are pushing in their new campaigns.

Best Knitwear for Autumn
We're getting closer to chunky knit time! Although I still find it slightly too warm to wear a chunky knit with a coat over the top, I am almost certainly wearing a chunky knit by itself during this time! It's more than enough to keep me warm until we start heading into our cold snaps.
Now is normally the best time to buy knitwear because a lot of old stock from last year is on sale... So I've included some of my favourite bargains that you can find.

As you can see... A lot of the pieces included in this post were on sale, as I promised! Fall Styling is great to start planning now as so many autumnal pieces are discounted so it's best to plan your Autumn outfits now than when the weather changes.

It's worth keeping an eye on all the sales as things gradually become more discounted before we head into those colder months.
