2 Days On Halong Bay; A Luxury Trip Exploring Halong Bay In Vietnam With Indochina Junk

uk travel blog
When the opportunity to head back to my favourite destination in the world (so far) arose (you may remember how much I love this place if you've read my blog post about the best places I've visited), I jumped at the chance. As most of you will know if you're subscribed to me on YouTube (pretty please subscribe here, it would mean the world to me!!!), I recently went back to the most beautiful place, a place so magical, I would happily get married there...Halong Bay in beautiful Vietnam. Come join me on the most incredible cruise around one of the natural wonders of the world.

We checked into our beautiful room (which was more like a suite) on the Dragon Legend boat owned by a company called Indochina Junk. I'm not sure how much you know about Halong Bay but you basically pay to go around it on an incredible yacht like boat (which they call 'junks'). Many companies offer trips but I like to do things in more of a luxurious way so looked for the best ones on TripAdvisor! On my previous Halong Bay trip I went with a different company, Indochina Junk rank really high on TripAdvisor so I chose to cruise with them this time in order to experience something different. I wasn't disappointed. The bedroom blew me away, I wasn't expecting something so big, although we didn't have our own balcony area (which I missed greatly), we had the biggest room and the most incredible bath which more than made up for it! This boat had a lot more room than others so it didn't matter that around 30 other people were on it with us. One thing that I noticed instantly was the warm, lovely nature of the staff onboard the boat. They made it their mission to learn our names and we felt so comfortable because of how lovely they all were to us throughout the trip.

Our itinerary was amazing, jam packed and full of fun but you could just relax if you wanted to, you don't have to stick to an itinerary.

We started the day with an epic lunch with the best view.

The food on the boat is absolutely epic - freshly made and freshly caught. I cannot recommend the food enough, genuinely, a culinary delight. I was actually blown away at how good it was and how large the portions were too. You don't get sub-standard food, you get the highest quality, yummiest dishes.

Another great thing about this boat? It comes complete with an outdoor hot tub.

I took in the beautiful view, I was so happy to be back.

I got to take this special one with me as well. It was a bit of a chilly day but I still put my new Glamorous playsuit on. I love it so much, it's so easy to wear. You can get it online here. Obviously I wore my trusty adidas trainers too. Don't forget you can watch my Asia lookbook video here, full of all the outfits I wore on my recent travels.

Next, we got our lifejackets on and headed out onto our kayaks

Nothing makes me happier than kayaking in the middle of Halong Bay, it's one of those 'Canon can't even capture this' moments.

After a warm dip in the tub, it was time to get ready for dinner.

The most delicious dinner was served to us by such lovely waiters. Dinner is included with the price of the cruise as is breakfast and lunch but unfortunately drinks are not so you do end up racking up a pretty hefty drinks bill by the end of it - it would be good if they included even just a glass of wine with dinner.

The following morning, I woke up to a delicious cup of tea and epic views.

We headed onto the island after breakfast and took in the view. I wore my gorgeous Seafolly bikini from SimplyBeach.

I got the chance to take my gorgeous floral playsuit for a spin. Online here. We got the chance to do some squid fishing, relax in the hot tub and check out the fisherman houses on the island as we were floating along.

I really wanted to do two nights on the boat as I did last time I visited Halong Bay but the cruise was sold out so instead, we opted for a pretty epic trip and actually, one of the best of my life; 2 days and 1 night on the boat and then another night spent in a rural Vietnamese village with the locals. You can see a sneak peek on my video below but that blog post will be coming next, I am so excited to tell you all about it. Before leaving the boat, I jumped into our incredible tub for one last bubble bath. Nothing beats this view.

So would I recommend Indochina Junk? My honest review? 100%. Everyone commented on how it was the best experience ever, the kindest staff, the best activities and the most beautiful rooms. I cannot recommend doing this trip enough if you go to Vietnam.

Don't forget to watch my video below - you can join me in Halong Bay! It really would mean the world to me if you could subscribe to me on YouTube here!
