Pretty In Pink: Leighton Denny Love

I’m all for discovering exciting new brands/products so when I put this Leighton Denny varnish on my nails, I knew that I had to rave about it and introduce those of you who haven’t used Leighton Denny before, to my new favourite nail varnish brand. Leighton Denny isn’t really a new brand, in fact, I was first introduced to it when I received a miniature nude L.D polish in a GlossyBox years ago but it still remains my favorite nude polish to this day and this varnish is no different…

I was shocked at how quickly this varnish dried, I am the worst person ever when it comes to waiting for nail varnish to dry, I always get really impatient and ruin it at the last hurdle. This was dry within a minute easily.

I only put two coats on to get this intensity, the consistency of the varnish seems quite thin but then it easily glides onto the nail and gives a really clean, neat, shiny finish with only two or three layers (all of which dry really quickly – bonus). It's not the neatest I've ever painted my nails, but it was quick, easy and I'm pretty happy with the result.

This particular shade is called: Pink Promenade. It’s described as a grown up pink, perfect for girls of all ages. I like that you can kind of change the colour of this, if you put 4/5 coats on it’s more of a dark fuschia but if you just put two coats on, it’s a really subtle creamy pink.

I’ve checked out their website and I pretty much want every colour, they’re all insane – next on my list is: Coral Reef, Crème De La Crème and Mines A Rose - which is most definitely the 'Kendall Jenner' nude that I’ve been looking for.

I am really impressed with Leighton Denny, I’ve always heard good things about the brand and after wearing this varnish I realized I needed to shout about how good these varnishes really are. Thank you Mr Denny for creating such amazing varnishes PLUS, after stalking the site, I’ve seen that they even do lip colours now, which will also be on next months beauty wishlist!

Have you ever used Leighton Denny? What do you look for in a nail varnish? What’s your favourite nail varnish brand and colours? Lots of love, Em x
