You may have seen me raving on Twitter about Filorga, and rightly so, when I heard that a product had been invented which promises to absorb tiredness from the eyes, target all signs of swelling, under-eye shadows, puffiness, sagging skin, you name it, I knew that this was the product for me. Naturally, I was a bit apprehensive, but please do read on…
When it comes to 'burning the candle at both ends' I am extremely guilty. I go to sleep at 3am and wake up at 9am, my body clock is officially ruined. I go to sleep exhausted and wake up exhausted, I blame University for this though, constant deadlines and not enough hours in the day is my main excuse, so I really did need these beauties in my life.

Filorga (you can buy the brand from Marks and Spencers) launched ‘the words first tiredness absorbing mask’ in September 2013, I have been using this product 'the eye-recover anti-fatigue eye mask'* since September and it really was love at first sight. I usually need a few weeks to try out a product properly, but with this, I saw and felt a complete difference to my undereyes after just one use (try them if you don’t believe me).

The box comes complete with 30 gel ready-to-wear black serum patches, they sit really comfortably on your skin. You may look like a panda, I know that my flat mates laugh at me when I walk around the flat wearing these but I always put them on before a night out as it really does wake up my whole face. Not only do these products make the skin around my eyes look visibly tighter, smoother and less pigmented in just 15 minutes, they also make me as a person feel less tired, they just give me that wake up call/shake that I needed and really tighten up my under eyes. It takes 15 minutes for an express treatment (ie: you get out of the shower and then whilst you're getting ready, leave these on for 15 minutes to make you look even more beautiful) and they recommend that you use them 2 or 3 times a week for optimum results. I used these twice a week and again, I do think that they'd become completely addictive because the results are instant, it's really not often that I find that with products.

How on earth does it work? Well, the science behind it says that they’re made up of lots of different ingredients including carrageenan gel which infuses the skin with freshness and re-energises the outline of the eye, this smoothes skin lines and firms the eyelid (hello smooth eye-shadow application!), vitamin pp-rich yeast extract flies in to reduce pigmentation which is responsibly for under-eye shadows, it also reduces congestion, then there's vitamin pp-rich yeast e cornflower water which reduces puffiness, soothes irritation and decreases redness in the eye. Finally, chamomile is involved to soothe and relaxe the eyeball and eyelid, reducing congestion and refreshing tired eyes. The reason its black? Liquorice, after writing my recent detox post I thought that sugar was a no-go, but this sweet treat contains a powerful anti-inflammatory ingredient which reduces redness around the eyeline, eases swelling and lots more!

I couldn't quite believe how good they were, so I made my boyfriend test them too just to check that I wasn't going crazy (not that I wanted to share these whatsoever - they're so good I wanted to keep them all to myself). My boyfriend completely agreed and couldn't believe how tight and awake his eyes felt and looked after a quick 10 minute session (this was after a heavy Uni night out too). They've even passed the boy test...

You can buy these from M&S here, at £45.00 for 30 these aren't the cheapest, but when you consider that it works out at about £3.00 per treatment, that's actually not so bad. If you're into eye treatments and getting rid of under eye bags, I reviewed a superb under-eye concealer you can read that here.
Do you have any tips on getting more sleep? Do you have any tips on getting rid of under-eye bags or eye puffiness? Have you ever tried any products for the under eyes/tiredness? Do you like the sound of these? Lots of love, Em x
