Christmas Gift Ideas 2018

Coat online here / photos by Marta Ferenc / Ad affiliate links

A very festive hello! Yup, can you believe Christmas is right around the corner? How did that happen. Yep, it’s that time of year again already! This year has been so hectic, I’m sure you’ve all found the same: it doesn’t seem like more than a few weeks ago that we were all enjoying an epic summer and planning our holidays. I don’t know about you guys but I think some years are more festive than others and this year it already feels as if it’s in full swing with everyone focussing on where to go, what to do, and most importantly what to buy for their loved ones! It's my birthday on 22nd December and to be honest, I LOVE getting my birthday out of the way first so maybe that's why I'm quite last minute with my gifts. I'm pleased to say, I'm fully organised this year as I gave my family experiences and they've already enjoyed them! I’m already overwhelmed by some of the beautiful gifts I’ve seen this year and I almost don’t know where to begin with this guide (hence it being so late, it's taken weeks to write haha) so, as last year, I’ve picked out somethings that I think you will like and put them in to easy read sections in my HUGE Christmas gift guide. Save this one to your favourites because as new things arrive with me I will top up this guide for you to see. Happy reading, I hope this helps you with lots of Christmas gift ideas.

Firstly, here are a few regular staple brands and items that would make great presents in my opinion as I always buy from them every year without fail!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream: I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t thank you for this little tube of perfection. A heavy duty moisturising cream that can be used almost anywhere and for anything. I bought my mum a tube of this years ago in World Duty Free and she is now never without a tube in her bag. Anyone with extremely dry skin will particularly like it as it always delivers great results and there are so many uses for it. It's worth checking out P'URE Papaya care too, I'm also loving their incredible multi-tasking ointment for winter.

Fresh: Fresh have a wonderful range of facial/beauty products but I’d particularly like to mention their Soy Face Cleanser. If you know someone who is pushed for time and has a habit of rushing for soap and water to remove the grime of the day then stop right them right now by treating them to a tube of this wonderful gel cleanser. It’s suitable for all skin types and doesn’t leave your face feeling dry. Once tried, they will not look back. My Mum and I both love everything from Fresh, whether it's their body scrubs, facial washes, serums or candles.

Jo Malone: Every year Jo Malone blow me away with their Christmas collection, this year was no exception. Their beautiful collection oozes class and festive vibes at same time. I'd highly recommend the Festive Fragrance set as a mini little treat or introduction to one of my favourite brands, or the Cologne Collection (the perfect every day handbag must-have), Orange Bitters is a winter cocktail and the best type - actually my boyfriends favourite fragrance (great because I can share) so I must buy him another bottle this year.

Molton Brown: I’ve always loved Molton Brown as a brand, they do the most amazing Christmas gift sets. I love treating my loved ones to their hand-washes and matching hand lotions, they will turn an ordinary bathroom in to something special. Having just moved in to my new apartment I can vouch for how beautiful the hand wash and lotion duo looks. I need to get one for my kitchen sink. Molton Brown without fail do such wonderful sets for Christmas, for both him and her.

The Body Shop: My Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a treat from the Body Shop. My mum started using a special coconut oil range that they used to sell when she was pregnant with me 24 years ago. They no longer do this but these products gave her a love of all things coconut and we always buy their moisturising creams and shower cleansers. They come in a range of yummy flavours and leave you smelling lovely. They currently have a wonderful body butter called Moringa as it contains seed oil from a tropical plant of the same name. This is boxed together with some matching shower gel so it could even be hung on the tree. I find treats from The Body Shop are always so well received (who doesn't love it?!) and so affordable for such high quality too.

All Saints: Every year I buy something from All Saints as a gift, whether it's for myself (gotta treat yourself), for my Mum, my brother or boyfriend. I highly rate their leather jackets and beautiful jumpers and they make such special gifts. The quality is great too so I find these are more life-long products than throw away gifts.

Reiss: Similar to All Saints, I massively rate Reiss for cosy Christmas gifts, whether that's a really special rollneck for my brother or a luxury scarf. I find items from Reiss last year after year.

M&S: You cannot go wrong with Marks and Spencer at Christmas time (or anytime), whether you pop in last minute for some wine and cheese or buy someone a beautiful plant, some gorgeous Autograph lingerie, pyjamas or even beauty gifts - I lose myself for hours on their website, usually picking out beautiful flowers. My family all adore M&S so I do tend to buy my Mum vouchers from there so she can treat herself throughout the year.

Selfridges: It wouldn't be Christmas without browsing the Selfridges Christmas shopping. I usually order foodie hampers from there every year as they are just so special.

Gucci/Burberry: It's no secret that I love Gucci. I filmed a video all about which Gucci belt to buy and every week I get emails from people with questions as they want to buy them as a gift. If you're looking for a luxury gift, I'd highly recommend something like a Gucci belt or a Burberry scarf. Both are timeless, classic pieces. You cannot go wrong with either, I wear both of mine so much.

FRAGRANCE:

If you're gonna buy a fragrance, Christmas is the best time as there are so many gift sets available. I always recommend buying fragrance from places like Selfridges and FeelUnique as you can get beautiful gift sets. Below are some of my top picks.

Obviously you have the best luxury brands such as Jo Malone, Diptyque, DiorMaison Margiela and Kilian for fragrance (try the new fun fragrance called Kissing, it's divine). One bottle is so special as a gift. Other fragrances that have stood out to me this year and would make great gifts include: Elizabeth Arden who have created a sophisticated beautiful and elegant floral fragrance called Fifth Avenue. I fell in love with this not only because of it’s beautiful smell but because it was introduced to me around the time I was going to New York. I truly believe fragrance should evoke memories. Vera Wang’s Green Tea and Pear Blossom is a lovely fresh smelling fragrance that reminds me of fresh flowers and fruit. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in conjunction with M&S has introduced a beautifully packaged fragrance gift set full of Rosie’s perfumes, they're affordable but beautiful too. Miller Harris do the most beautiful, luxury fragrances if you're looking for a different, luxurious brand.  Ouai, one of my favourite haircare brands this is a has finally launched fragrances, in understated yet sophisticated packaging. There are five different scents in this range all inspired by different places in the world and with a smell of rose at the centre of each. I wore one of these recently and it had such a beautiful smell and lasted all day. I cannot explain how good I smelt. I'm a sucker for any Guerlain perfume (Mon Guerlain is lovely). I've always gone for hero scents like Armani Si, Flowerbomb (every year for Christmas I get this - it's SO special to me) and Marc Jacobs Daisy too, there's a reason they're best sellers, if you're buying someone fragrance and you don't know what they like, it's good to look for the hero scents like these ones. My Mum loves Armani Si and Mon Paris by YSL (and she is the hardest lady to choose a fragrance for). I know the boys in my life LOVE Viktor and Rolf Spice Bomb, Armani Stronger With You, JOOP!Guerlain Sport (my brothers ultimate!) and Tom Ford if you need any inspo. You can't go wrong with a David Beckham Gift Set either - we all love a piece of David at Christmas ha.

Every year I take my mum to London for a couple of days at Christmas to give her some well earned treats. This year we were lucky enough to be invited to Atelier Cologne in Covent Garden to choose a new scent. Atelier Cologne is a fragrance house dedicated to wonderfully fragranced colognes created by its owners. The colognes are suitable for women and men and have a really beautiful love story sitting behind each one. If you want a gift with love and intrigue underpinning it, you'll love Atelier Cologne, you can also personalise beautiful leather cases for the fragrances and their candles are some of the best I've ever smelt. If you're gifting someone who loves travel, they have candles which are named after places such as Positano and they instantly bring back good memories.

LIPS AND EYES: Whether it’s a gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself and your own Christmas list, there are some fabulous palettes and sets out this season for your lips and eyes. Here are a few of my faves:

Bobbi Brown - love their Life of the Party mini eye and lip palette or their mini crushed lip colour kit. Perfect for slipping in your handbag and let's be honest, Bobbi Brown just smash it every year with their beautifully packaged gift sets.

Smashbox do a Holidaze Be Legendary Lipstick and Lip Mattifier set - when I saw this the vibrant colours blew me away. I've always been a Smashbox fan and their sets this year are the best.

Clinique are doing a set called the Chubbettes - which includes a moisturising lip colour balm and intense lip colours - so pretty and so many colours, perfect for lip lovers.

Nails Inc have so many sets, including Nails Inc You Lucky Pucker Lip Trio gift set. I don't think you can go wrong with Nails Inc and their beautiful and fun sets for Christmas.

Stila have their Shimmering Heights Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Set which contains 6 liquid eyeshadows with shimmer and glitter finishes. I've honestly been using Stila for years and rate them so highly for eye products. I love the packaging of these and the way they glide on to your eyelids. They can be used in a single layer to keep them subtle or layered to make a real glitzy statement.

Boots No7 have a nice collection of eye treats to make you stand out at parties with their No7 Eye Define Library which contains mascara a shade and define product and an eye pencil. Let's be honest, Boots always do the best gift sets (LOVE that so many are on 3 for 2 as well!) It's always fun going into Boots and choosing what to go for.

Urban Decay’s Naked Cherry Eye Shadow
is honestly one of my favourite eye palettes of the year. I've never seen such beautiful colours and with it being such a cult product, I'm sure this is on so many peoples Christmas list.

Becca Volcano Goddess Palette - I've never seen a more perfect eye palette. I'm honestly worried that this will get discontinued and then I have to cope without my precious, pigmented gold. This is the best palette, ever and I'd highly recommend this as a Christmas stocking stuffer for any beauty lover. The quality is incredible.

MASQD by Boots have so many affordable sets including their Face, Eye & Brow tool set - a really handy set that includes amongst other things, an eyelash curler, a brow brush and a contour brush. I love gifts that will genuinely be used like this one.

If your loved ones like Highlighters then I’ve found some great ones this season too:

Bobbi Brown - Again, Bobbi has produced a lovely Highlight & Glow set which is a highlighting duo in bare glow and opal glow, such beautiful shades. I also love Smashbox as mentioned and they have got some great sets including their Holiday Photo Finish Travel Primer Trio and their Contour + Spotlight Palette because who doesn't love a contour set. M&S do some great make up and their brand Autograph have a Glow & Go Highlighter kit too. Meanwhile, at the high end of products, Guerlain's Meteorites make it onto my gift guide every year, in a beautiful little tub they make the perfect gift for any beauty lover. I'll never forget treating myself to Guerlain for the first time.  Guerlain is a real favourite of mine - a really beautiful brand and everything they make looks and feels special - I absolutely love it. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette is another high end palette that contains six beautiful shades - you cannot go wrong with Hourglass. If you’re a fan of Millie Mac then give her Highlight Glow and Bronze set a whirl, affordable and beautiful. Of course, there’s another favourite from one of my fave brands, Charlotte Tilbury - the Glowing Pretty Skin paletteI rate every single Charlotte Tilbury product (I can't say that for many brands) and genuinely would love anything from her under my tree and I know many beauty lovers will agree.

The Sonic Foundation Brush by Clarisonic could be the one for you if you're looking to buy someone something a little different when it comes to make up brushes. It’s for those who are really serious about make up application as it helps to get a real smooth application and is also good for contouring. Real Techniques produce a range of brush sets and I have used and loved these for years. They’re high quality and include a full range of brushes, spongers, applicators etc. They look stylish and function really well and last for ages. They’re doing a lovely limited addition set this year. The only downside to brushes is keeping them clean and one things I’ve found a great help (and fun) this year is the Styl Pro Make Up brush cleaning set - battery operated, it spins around and makes your brushes so clean you won’t believe it. A great one to treat your friends to. I also love EcoTools for make up brushes, their gift sets are always amazing and their products are such high quality. This years gift sets are my favourite yet from them, I'd highly recommend their Warm Winter Glow set. BareMinerals also do great brushes too, they're actually some of my longest standing brushes and I got them in a Christmas set. If you like luxury gifts, Chantecaille's Ultimate Brush Set includes five vegan friendly brushes, that provide expert application for a flawless coverage. They come in a sleek case perfect for travel and the set has every brush you could need in there. I first discovered Chantecaille in Space Nk and love them because they really embrace philanthropy and give back.

Of course, you may not want to stick to just one particular area for your loved ones so an ideal way to treat them to a number of different products is with one of the amazing gift sets that are available. I think that's what's so great about Christmas, rather than buying say the famous YSL Touche Eclat you can usually get it in a gift set meaning you get a free product too. You save money but the recipient gets to try something new too.

GIFT SETS:

Caudalie always do epic gifts, this year I love their Body Care set which includes a body butter and hand cream. I’ll be treating my mum to this as it’s one of her favourite brands so every year I buy her Caudalie. In conjunction with Elizabeth Scarlett, Decleor have a beautiful gift set available and Decleor’s own skin, body and mind set is equally beautiful. I swear by Decleor and I'm desperate to book my brother in for a massage at one of their stores. Every year I get him a Decleor gift set, it's such a good way to try lots of products at such a good price. Liberty have a wonderful Party Set available, it comes in a gorgeous pouch and is full of so many epic brands, worth over £160. No Christmas would be complete without a beautiful gift set from Elemis and this years Fabulous Frangipani Bath & Body Collection is luxe. I always treat the men in my life to Elemis because they love their sports range too. For hand cream lovers (like my Nanna), L’Occitane Hand Cream Set is a must. L'Occitane's Christmas sets this year are so beautiful, I honestly can't choose a favourite. For bath lovers (like me!) Being by Sanctuary Spa have a lovely set called Bon Bombs containing lots of lovely cloudberry and lychee bath bombs. For candle lovers, what about a trio set from Floris containing a candle, rose scented geranium bath essence and white rose eau de toilette. Or my personal favourite, Diptyque are doing a beautiful set of 5 mini candles this year. Roger & Gallet always do affordable but lovely, fresh gift sets too. I swear by Neom candles too, their luxury Christmas candles are always the best and burn for so long.

Having a good skin care routine is something I’ve been practicing for years. My Grandma is an advocate of a proper skin care discipline and has always taught me to do the same. There are some great sets around this Christmas for someone who likes to pamper.

SKIN CARE:

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water, Serum and Moisturising Sorbet set is a wonderful set of light, natural quality skin care products and the Caudalie Eau De Beaute Beauty Elixir & Gift Set would make the perfect addition for someone who loves this brand, plus, they're affordable too. I always buy Caudalie for friends and family who are into natural skincare as it's such a lovely natural brand. BareMinerals have their Claymates Mask Duo. I love a good face mask and this jar provides 2 to target different problem areas - one which exfoliates and one which firms. I highly recommend BareMinerals skincare and the packaging is so luxe for any skincare lovers. I’ve always had a soft spot for Glamglow (I was one of the first people in the UK to keep shipping it over and using it from the USA!!!) and every year I treat my hair dresser to their Gravity Mud Firming Treatment which I can always recommend. I adore every single Glamglow mask. For a fun present, Drunk Elephant's skincare routine kit is really quirky and offers some nourishing, hydrating and revitalising product all boxed in some really fun packaging BUT for any skincare lovers, they'll know Drunk Elephant is the new kid on the block and people are desperate to get their hands on it so get extra points for treating someone to this! For a full recharge, ThisWorks do a range of products including Skin Defence, Nap Spray and their Recharge Mask. I've loved ThisWorks for as long as I can remember and always recommend their Sleep Spray as a really special, natural gift for anyone who loves anything wellbeing related. For a sophisticated skin care routine, the Mia Smart 3 in one is an electronic tool that boasts better cleaning than hands alone and eradicates make up, oil and grime and can even be linked to an app for a tailor made skin routine. I actually flew to NYC years ago and met the founder of Clarisonic and know this is the creme de la creme when it comes to skincare. It really is a forever gift too and something the recipient will use every day.

Rather than buying skincare for someone, I know it can be tricky if you don't know their skin type etc, you can always book someone in for an experience like a facial or a massage. One of the best massages I ever had was actually in a Liz Earle store and I am a sucker for a massage. I had a facial recently too at the House of Elemis in Mayfair and it's one of the best I've ever had. They scanned my skin first so they ensured the facial was perfectly suited to what my skin actually needs, I've never had a facial where so much care has gone into it. I've also heard Sunday Riley are doing facials in London too, I know most skincare lovers will be SO excited to hear this. I also go to Rudding Park regularly when I'm at home and you can do day spa packages or stay overnight. I'd highly recommend if you're in Yorkshire and want the best spa break of your life (seriously, this is coming from someone who's visited a lot of spas!). Ultimately, if someone likes pampering, you can always think outside of the box and put together a little care hamper with lots of lovely pamper treats or like I say, organise a nice wellbeing experience.

HAIR CARE:

Having had numerous problems in growing my hair in the past, I always treat it with tender loving care and make sure I do not put too much heat on it. When I do, I protect it properly. Ghd’s have always been my favourite straighteners since they first hit the shelves and it’s great to see the launch of their GHD Platinum+ straighteners this year as they are even kinder to your hair than the originals. I cannot recommend these enough for anyone who loves using heat on their hair. They may be a pricy present but one that will last a lifetime. I use my Ghd's so much. Bumble and Bumble have a cute Happy Hairdays party set available which includes Shampoo, Conditioner and a finisher. This is perfect for someone who loves to travel. I’ve always loved this brand. Coco & Eve ‘Like a Virgin’ super nourishing coconut and fig hair mask is in a pretty tub and is great for ultra dry hair that needs some deep moisturising. I also swear by Vita Coco coconut oil as a hair mask so you could always stock someone up on this, there are SO many uses for it.

For a great staple I use John Frieda which has such a great range for every hair type. It’s worth considering things like this for your loved ones who are practical thinkers and like everyday things for presents. My mum would be over the moon if I bought her a bag full of John Frieda conditioner because she gets through so much! Again, it goes back to my hamper idea. Sometimes it's lovely to get a hamper full of things you actually go through eg, lots of conditioners and hair masks and some deodorant and razors!

Finally I was kindly treated to a sleek blow dry by Fudge recently. They do some absolutely wonderful products with helpful technologies that are suitable for all hair types. I highly recommend booking people in for something like a hair treatment or blow dry for Christmas. Every year I try and get my Mum a blow dry at our trusty Sassoon, it's such a nice treat and means she gets a long lasting experience. You can always book for someone to get their nails done too and do a double whammy! I get my nails done when home in Yorkshire at RagDoll Nails in Leeds, easily the best salon I've come across for nails.

BODY WASH/LOTION:
You will see all my faves on this list. These are things I use day in and day out and absolutely love them and I know they'd make great little gifts.

Neom Body Wash - I truly adore everything Neom produce, such a luxurious but also natural brand. Their product ranges are great, whether you want to feel energised or chilled, they have something for everyone.

Sanctuary Spa - Exquisite Bath Salt and Precious Glow Body oil for when I really have time to pamper myself. I always think Sanctuary Spa do the best affordable Christmas sets.

Molton Brown - This year they have the most gorgeous fragrant Muddled Plum Scented Glitter Bath & Shower Gel - it is simply yummy, good enough to eat

L’Occitane Eco Recharge Almond Shower Oil - I can't explain how good this feels on my skin, it's such a luxurious and different shower oil. It's also eco friendly too so perfect as a sustainable gift.

Love, Beauty & Planet - A newish brand selling a variety of products from shampoos, to conditioners, to hair care and body care, so why do I think it makes an epic gift? Not only is the packaging so beautiful, the products are affordable too so you can afford to put a lovely pamper hamper together but also, this brand is kind to the planet too. Love, Beauty & Planet uses 100% recycled bottles, is vegan friendly, carbon conscious and the natural ingredients all have stories of how they are sourced. These products are a wonderful gift for any beauty junkie, someone who loves to pamper and you're being kind to the planet too.

FAKE TAN: It's no secret that I LOVE fake tan and go through so much but it's really expensive so I'm always grateful to receive my favourite fake tans for Christmas. Fake tan is a luxury thing and if someone likes to use the best ones, it's a good idea to buy a bottle of their favourite or a new favourite to try (I recommend Tan LuxeIsle Of Paradise, James Read and Vita Liberta Invisi Tan) for me, a tan lover this is such a lovely but also practical present as I honestly go through so much. I have to say, James Read always makes the best Christmas present because the packaging is SO luxurious and his h20 tanning face drops are to die for. Practical things that I use daily make great gifts, I'm always so thankful for them and let's be honest, these tans are so luxurious now they make the best presents.

MEN’S GIFTS: I know many of the above can be used for both, but here are some different ideas for our loved ones who are male too.

Decleor - I couldn’t possibly fail to mention Decleor. My brother loves it and uses it every day. They do a full range of skin care and it is sheer luxury. If the man in your life likes facial products he will love this brand for sure. I always buy the men in my life pamper treats.

Elemis Sports & Muscle - Every year I get Elemis Sports & Muscle range for the guys (and for me to steal) because my family do a lot of exercise and I'm telling you, these products are exceptional and with Elemis being one of the best brands, it means they make the best gifts,

Molton Brown - Molton Brown's sports range is also exceptional for anyone who needs a post-workout re-energise or muscle soak and their male collection also smells incredible too. They do such lovely gift sets.

Selfridges - If in doubt, I always head to Selfridges online store and look at their gift ideas. I always find so many quirky, fun gifts and lots of cool, crazy tech things too. I also lobe Selfridges because they do loads of personalised things and I'm a sucker for anything personalised.

All Saints - I know I already mentioned it at the top but I don't think you can beat All Saints. Whether I'm treating the guys to a wallet, some new boxers, socks, a hat or a lovely knit, they always love All Saints presents.

Amazon Echo - Last year I treated my boyfriend to an Amazon Echo (partly so I can use it too!) and it was such a fun purchase but one we use loads in the house too.

Roe Menswear - Last year I supported my boyfriend in the launch of his online clothing business Roe. Many family members purchased from Roe last Christmas and have been delighted with the quality and style of his brand. Check out his brand if you’re looking for a really cool, smart design of clothing, accessories or men’s jewellery for your loved one. Whilst I love promoting epic established brands, I also think it's good to give back to new, independent start ups for Christmas so if you're looking for a luxury backpack, wallet or an incredible t-shirt or trench coat, please check out Roe.

Selcouth London - I’m always on the lookout for new innovative startups and when my brother told me about his friend launching Selcouth London last month I was really intrigued by their brand concept which is centred around rare, unique and inspired accessories. Selcouth cardholders and wallets are full of personality, blending stylish yet individual designs with high-tech, modern practicality. You can even add a bluetooth tracker card (the world's thinnest) - ideal if the man in your life is always misplacing stuff. They also make wallets for women too, so the perfect his and hers gift. All Use code SHELDON25 for 25% off orders this Christmas and check out their instagram @selcouthlondon.

Arlo London - A friend of mine also owns Arlo London, beautiful jewellery for all price ranges and it's unisex. If you know someone who loves pendants or rings, they're gonna love Arlo. It's a lovely start up brand too.

LIFESTYLE GIFT IDEAS

For a really special and luxurious gift treat your loved one to a SLIP pillowcase. I now have several of these and really believe that they help my skin and hair in comparison to cotton so do check them out together with their extended range of eye masks and scrunchies. When I interviewed Kourtney Kardashian she told me she swears by silk pillowcases. I love their eye masks too for travel.

L’Occitane have introduced a really lovely looking and lovely packaged ‘magic key’ which can be used to get the very last out of your favourite product tubes. This would make a great stocking filler and is something a bit different for a beauty lover.

Net-A-Porter Book Collection - Speaking of books, I don't think you can go wrong with a designer coffee table book if someone has maybe moved house or is into fashion or the luxe city guides come so beautifully packaged for someone who likes travel.

Instant Camera - I think an instant camera is ALWAYS a good idea for a Christmas gift, it means you can snap things throughout the year and make a scrap book at the end of the year with all your memories. I love crafty gifts and I love saving down memories. You can buy some online here and here. It's such a thoughtful gift.

Zoella has a fabulous new range out, as always and I particularly love her cosy mittens and her new cup with matching straw. I know sustainability is the topic on everyones tongues this year so you cannot go wrong with a reusable cup.

ASOS lifestyle - I could spend hours looking at gifts for everyone on the ASOS site. Don't forget just how good their site is for everything from homeware, to funny books and scratch maps. I always try and buy people books for Christmas too and usually asos has some fun ones.

Roccabox - How about buying someone a beauty subscription box? Roccabox is a Northern start up and you pay a certain amount per month and every month the recipient gets a box bursting with beauty treats at their front door. It really is a gift that keeps on giving!!!

Gym kit - I fell in love with Gymshark this year after buying nearly their whole site! The loungewear section is insane. You can't beat GymShark, Nike and Sweaty Betty  for any loungewear or fitness lovers.

Gym classes - As someone massively into the gym, I can say one of the best gifts I received was personal training vouchers. I think buying a gym lover PT sessions or gym classes for them to try is such a good idea, it means they can use them under their own steam then too. I go to David Lloyd and my Mum bought me 10x passes to train with Lois, she's such a good trainer. I want to try Kobox properly and love Frame in London so something like passes for these would be a cool gift.

Clothing - Obviously I adore fashion and I've touched on how much I love a lifelong, luxury gift with GucciBurberryAll Saints and Reiss but below I've left some of my favourite luxury buys incase you're looking to treat someone to an investment piece like a special jacket or a coat. These are items that will be timeless in someones wardrobe.

Jewellery - I like thoughtful jewellery and brands like Monica Vinader have got it SO right with their personalisation. I honestly want every single item. Then there's Swarovski with such special Christmas gifts this year, such as their personalised letter bracelet which I think would make the most perfect gift. I've already mentioned Arlo London but a great independent brand if you're looking for sterling silver unisex pendants and rings.

Household needs - I know I've touched on practical gifts quite a lot but things like towels if someone just moved home or a new kettle always go down well. Christy do the best luxury towels and bed linen, I rate them so highly and their items make such luxurious but useful gifts. I always think electronics like a waffle or popcorn maker or even a George Foreman grill make really good gifts too. When my brother was a student I remember how excited he was when my Mum bought him a panini maker and I was similarly excited when I got a hand blender haha, a gift doesn't always have to be glamorous! If you're looking for more luxury household gifts, I have a Vorwerk Kobold hoover firmly on my list (yup, seriously, a hoover) but they do the coolest, slickest hoovers and even have robot hoovers!!!

Vita Coco - I do a lot of cooking and use a lot of Vita Coco in my recipes, (the coconut water is THE BEST) they have a delivery service where you can get for example 12L or coconut water at a time and you can order bi-monthly or monthly so if someone loves coconut water and uses a lot of it, how about something like this coming to their door every month?! A very different but necessary present if you go through as much as I do!

I LOVE buying experiences as gifts, whether it's a trip to Rudding Park Spa, I buy this EVERY year for my family to enjoy, afternoon tea somewhere special (usually Betty's) or, I took my brother and boyfriend to New York this year as their birthday/christmas present. I know they're all a little extravagant but it meant we could all have lovely experiences together. You don't have to spend lots of money though, even if it's a special experience close to home (we did GoApe this year and it was such a fun family activity), there are lots of things you can do which mean you can spend time together. Photo books are also a lovely and affordable way to share memories and make someones day without breaking the bank.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my gift guide with just a few of the numerous ideas that are out there. I could go on forever as I see new amazing things every day and will be updating this guide as we get closer to the big day.

Whatever you choose to buy I’m sure your loved ones will be happy and of course remember it’s not about buying presents but more about BEING present for your loved ones and giving them big hugs and love to show them just how much they mean to you all year round. Christmas isn't about what's under the tree, it's about who's around it. I really hope this helps you!

Here's a video too with more Christmas gift ideas:
