Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Light Deep Treatment Mousse Review

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Light Deep Treatment Mousse Review
When Aussie contacted me and asked if I'd like to get involved in their 'perfect match' campaign (you'll have seen it all over my Twitter and Instagram) I jumped at the chance (and squealed quite a lot). I have loved Aussie for as long as I can remember, I swear by Aussie haircare, particularly their miracle moist products and hair insurance collection. Both me and my Mum have been true Aussie fans for quite some time now and I just can't get enough. As most of you will know, I am desperately trying to grow my hair back after a not-so-kind experience with bonded hair extensions, so when I heard about their new deep conditioning miracle mousse's, I knew that they were for me. Firstly, because I am trying to leave my hair in its natural state so a nice little mousse will make it look a bit less offensive and secondly, because they're deep conditioning and therefore, good for my hair. Let's see how I got on...

The three photos above are photos of my natural hair after washing it and leaving it to dry naturally. As you can see, it's quite big naturally, but a bit scraggly and it kind of needs a bit of oomph adding to it, whilst it's quite frizzy and big, it's still not got that oomph and it still looks flat.

I've always been a fan of Aussie's motto: 'There's more to life than hair but it's a good place to start'.  Thanks Aussie, you're right. Another reason why I've always adored Aussie is because they use such good ingredients in their products, these ones are infused with Australian Sea Kelp and most of their products use jojoba-seed oil which I swear by for nourishing my dry, damaged hair.

I washed my hair using the 3 Minute Miracle MEGA treatment and with my hair being naturally quite curly, I wanted to use the MEGA one to really see how well it can tackle it. Naively, I just assumed that these would be mousses which you apply after you've washed your hair, but weirdly for me, you actually apply them to wet hair and then rinse them out. I've never done that with mousse before so I was quite excited/nervous about how this would turn out. Also, please note that because I am trying to grow my hair, I am trying to use minimal heat on it, so this probably would have gone a lot bigger had I used heat, instead, I just left it to dry naturally and I am really happy with the results (As you'll see below soon!). I let my hair dry naturally every day so I wanted to just do what I normally do with my hair whilst using these products to get an honest result.

I'm going to be using the LIGHT mousse soon but for today, I was going for more of a large, bouncy look so the final images are after using the MEGA mousse.

I always love the packaging of Aussie products and I am so happy to have them back in my shower.

1. MEGA Mousse - A lot does come out, it literally flies out so because but I put it all in my hair anyway as I really wanted to cake my hair in it and go for a huge look.

2. LIGHT Mousse - less comes out and it seems a little bit thinner, it didn't fly out of the tube/bottle as much.

So did I find my 'perfect match'?

I coated my hair with it in the shower after shampooing, left it for three minutes, popped my own conditioner on afterwards then left it to dry naturally and the final results are below. It was a weird sensation putting mousse on my hair in the shower rather than after the shower and I assumed it would make my hair feel really dry, but in true Aussie spirit, it brought my hair to life and left it feeling bouncier, shinier and more nourished than it's ever been. This is now going to be a staple in my shower, goodbye flat, weird curls, hello bouncy volume. I actually think this is quite good for people who are in a rush or can't really be bothered with hair, I haven't had to style my hair whatsoever, I literally washed it with shampoo and then this, then left it and woke up with my hair how it looks below.

No heat, no nothing, just Aussie MEGA mousse treatment.

My hair looks and feels so much thicker, healthier and shiny. It actually looks longer too because the mousse has made it feel much fuller. I've been trying to achieve this look for quite some time so I really am happy that this has come into my life.

All in all, I am extremely happy with this product, it's just what I was looking for. I find it really hard to let my hair grow because I dislike my natural afro, but thanks to this, it makes my afro look more voluminous and I can actually show it off in public, so now, I can just wash my hair using this and then leave it to dry naturally. I'm hoping that this is going to be my hair saviour and just doing this every week will really make my hair grow.
You can find out more about the things that I'm doing to grow my hair here.
Thanks so much Aussie for working with me on this exciting project, I think I've found my perfect match. As always, even though this is sponsored by Aussie, this is my 100% honest opinion, I never would and never have lied just for the sake of a sponsored post or collaboration with a brand, the proof is in the photographs anyway, my hair is big and bouncy! Yipee! Thank you once again Aussie.

It's available at Boots here now, get your supplies girls! I know I'm going to be stocking up.

Have you used any products for volume recently? Do you like the voluminous hair look? Do you love Aussie hair care too? What are your favourite Aussie products? What do you think to this, would you like to try it?

Lots of love, Em x
