So the picnic season is well and truly upon us, in England, the sun is actually shining so a picnic date is on the cards surely. I am yet to be taken on a picnic date, so if you're a boy reading this, take your girlfriend for a picnic, she will love it. It's the easiest yet cutest date. For girls, this means we have to look good, so in this post I'm going to show you a few of my fave picnic and general Summer date outfits, my favourite make up items for a Summer date which will hopefully help you to achieve an effortless make up look. Oh and you can have a look inside my beautiful Fortnum and Mason hamper...
When I was sent the Fortnum and Mason Picadilly Hamper by Ladbrokes Casino, to celebrate the British Summer and the launch of their slots came, perfect timing as Wimbledon has just finished. I nearly cried with excitement. Have you ever seen something so beautiful? I have never seen something look so divine and just so London. It's rammed full of Summer day treats such as chocolate, biscuits, jams and tea. Obviously lemon curd, chutney and more are included. Not to mention the extra big bottle of champagne that came alongside it. The wicker hamper will be getting abused and taken everywhere with me this Summer. It's simple yet oh so beautiful, who needs a clutch when you can have a F&M hamper.
Here is my essential picnic set. I've popped the new Sourz Mango in there too which the lovely people sent to me, in case you go for more of a girlie picnic and fancy a tropical drink and a few tipsy giggles. But if you're a guy wanting to impress, the champagne would suffice. Haha, no I'm joking, I would be happy with water if a boy took me for a picnic date, I am easily pleased.

When it comes to essential items for a nice date look, I've chosen the above. First up, Nip+Fab which I picked up with Cosmo or Glamour magazine this month (can't remember which sorry!) I chose the Instant Leg Smoother, perfect for a Summer picnic because you want smooth legs, also this is a cute portable size so you can put it in your bag. Next is Nourish's Cooling Mist. You can spray this over make up and it just cools you down and hydrates your skin. It also gives you a nice natural glow and really revives you. Again, it fits in your bag which is great. Cath Collins Perfume in Lily Fandango, it fits into your bag, it's really slimline, but it just smells so floral which is perfect for a Summer date. He wont know whether it's you or the flowers in the park that smell good. Rouge Bunny Rouge's Moonbeam Highlighter is up next. I'd put this all over my face before a picnic date, you'll look natural, glowing and radiant, it really brings out your natural glow. Bring on those highlighted cheek bones. Autograph's Powder Foundation is what I'd lightly pop all over my face. It gives such good coverage but it's really nice and natural for a date. If you don't want a powder foundation, try L'Occitane Sublime Beauty Cream, again, it just gives a nice radiant finish and it's really natural looking. You don't want to look too glammed up for a picnic, but again, it depends which Summer date you're going on. I've chosen Benefit's They're Real for the lashes as it gives nice long, curly and fluttery lashes. For the lips it's all about Murad's Energizing Lip balm which has an SPF in it and just keeps your lips hydrated, keep them kissable for your date. There's also Autograph's Twist Up Lipstick which I obsess over, I'd choose a nice natural pink colour for a picnic. The final touches? Some Ray Bans and a Neom candle, if you're feeling super romantic.

Recently I was invited to TKMaxx to choose some Summer outfits for under £100.00 for the #Summer4Keeps challenge. I haven't ever even shopped in TKMaxx before, but it's safe to say I will be doing from now on. I only spent around £75.00 and got three gorgeous outfits, and a pair of shoes (how good) plus they're now three of my favourite outfits, even my boyfriend approves. I could have bought a lot more and can't wait to go back and treat myself again.
Picnic outfit number one is the above, a beautiful little over sized shirt dress. I think the pattern and style is very Mollie King and she is my ultimate style icon. I wouldn't even usually buy something in that pattern, but I loved the loose shirt fit of it. The belt didn't come with it but I think it looks nice with a belt so popped one around it. This was only £14.99. I love the patent heels, which are also from TKMaxx, a nude peep toe is perfect for Summer, it just makes this outfit more formal. This outfit is probably more picnicy with sandals, but if you're going for drinks after, pop a pair of nude heels in your bag.
There's my insufferable smile again haha. Next, this pretty little sundress, which will be straight in my suitcase for my trip to Barcelona. I think this is perfect picnic-date material. It's so floaty and cute. My tan is natural, thank you English sun! My glasses are the Ray Ban aviators and my lipstick is an Autograph twist up lipstick. This dress was only £7.99 what an absolute bargain. P.S take note of the new hair, thank you Jade at XS for saving my scalp from dangerous hair extensions.
Last but not least, the maxi dress. This was £29.00 from what I can remember which makes it the most expensive item, as the shoes were only £25.00! The belt came with this dress. It does make me look quite fat but my Mum said it's because my bust is out, oops. I also think it's the way the dress hangs, but I love this for a casual picnic look. If it's quite chilly you can always wear this with a leather jacket. I was so impressed with TKMaxx for shop-ability and went into the fitting room with about 10 items, I went when it was empty and just picked up so many bargains. A top tip for TKMaxx shopping is to just look for your size, the shop is quite neat actually, with all the size 6s/8s etc together so I just picked up nearly everything in my size and then tried it on. I can't wait to go back and grab some more things, keep an eye out because I'll be posting about that soon. I love that I picked out 3 outfits that I'd never ordinarily wear, but I just love them.
