January Favourite Products

Etat Pur - Caffeine // Chanel - Perfection Lumiere Foundation // Murad - Skin Perfecting Primer // YON-KA - Purifying Concentrate // Una Brennan - Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask // Clarins - Wonderperfect Mascara // YSL - Touche Eclat // Urban decay - Naked Basics Palette

Etat Pur - Caffeine - I was excited to try this product, even though I don't have cellulite, every girl gets it, it's a girl thing so I may as well try prevent it whilst I can. They say that 'Caffeine pure Active is indicated for cellulite and the orange peel appearance of the skin.' I've been trying to find the name for this for ages but i think its just called caffeine, and i'm guessing that's because caffeine is the main ingredient. They say that 'Caffeine, thanks to its slimming properties, has a targeted effect on fat cells which helps to significantly reduce cellulite. The skin becomes firmer and its orange peel appearance is reduced'. I have been using this product for around a month now and I feel so much better about my legs, they feel firmer and tighter, I can't wait to see the results after a bit longer. The reason I also love it so much is because it only costs £11.30, which I think is so good for a special cellulite treatment. It's worth a try for that price and it uses natural ingredients, what's not to love.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation - I love the dewy yet matte look to this product. I literally adore it when i'm having a good skin day, it gives such a light yet flawless feel and reminds me of my Urban Decay naked skin foundation. I also love the smell of it, it may just be me, but i think it smells so fruity. This was £36.00 which is steep but I needed to try some Chanel in my life and now, oopsy, I am hooked. Read my full review of Chanel Perfection Lumiere here.

Murad Skin Perfecting Primer - I got this ages ago but have only started using it recently due to all my other primers running out, and I've lost my Urban Decay primer (boohoo, how is that even possible) so i've been using this. It's tinted so actually, on good skin days, you could easily get away with just wearing this, after applying one layer you can see that it really does transform your skin, pop some make up on the top and wow, it really does even your skin tone and make your make up last longer. Very impressed with this product.

YON-KA - Purifying Concentrate - This interesting little product is to be applied morning and night all over the face. It's from a new brand called YON-KA which I haven't heard of before, but recently I got some of their stuff to try, because it all looks incredible and i can't wait to tell you more about it. I've been putting this on morning and night as a substitute for my Dermalogica over night clearing gel which recently ran out, and i've got to say, I haven't had any spots. Hooray. What they say: 'n UNFAILING ally to skin prone to impurities, rich in essential oils and botanical extracts, this alcohol-free concentrate is suitable and performs at all ages. With an astonishing purifying power, it quickly helps provide your skin with a clear and healthy complexion.Breakouts disappear, and inflammations are soothed. The skin is purified and healed.' I will continue to use this product to let you know that it's still just as good, but even after just a week i've seen results. How exciting.

Una Brennan - Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask - Again, this is something that i've had for a while but I store this in my shower and pop it on after i've washed my face in the shower. I leave this intense but natural treatment on my skin for 5 minutes and it gives me amazing hydration. It kind of brings the life and bounce back into my skin. This is only £8.99 from Boots and it's lasted me ages (not to mention the packaging is really pretty in a white bathroom). I never want this to run out.

Clarins - Wonderperfect Mascara - I can't believe that i've never reviewed this product before, but I have mentioned it on many posts. I unfortunately ran out of this and only got it back for a Christmas present, yay thanks Mummy. This costs around £18.00 which always puts me off it but it works 'wonders' for your eye lashes, honestly, it gives you such a volumed look and makes your lashes so long and curly. I love it so much.

YSL - Touche Eclat - Ahh I don't think I need to go into detail about why this is an incredible product, the reason it's a Jan fave is because it was a Christmas present. I use this every single day and I will be reviewing it against a cheaper version within the next few weeks for you.

Urban decay - Naked Basics Palette - I have used this every single day since I got this, at only £20.00 this is a complete steal, I adore Urban Decay but i'm such an amateur when it comes to eye shadow so this is the perfect starter kit as far as i'm concerned. i've worn it on a day to day basis and used the darker shades for a smokey eye and evening look. Aaah so that's my January list! I'm going to do a February haul next week to mark the start of the month, can't wait to tell you all about it. Oh and I am also going to the BAFTA's next week. How exciting! Lots of love, Em x

  10. wow seriously covetable makeup collection! love the chanel foundation too - kind of worth investing cause it lasts SO long. Although my one is now slightly too pale for my skin so I have to keep mixing it with my MAC foundation which kills the dewy effect a wee bit! :( lovely bloggggg xxoxoxo

  13. Im quite looking forward to oyur review of YSL Touche eclait against a cheaper product, as I will admit I own this and L'oreal's version, and prefer L'oreals! Saying that i use mine more as a concealer rather than a highlighter, so there might be the issue.
Great post, ill be back to see your review :)
