if you follow me on instagram (emshelx) you’ll have seen that the other day I
uploaded a photo of the most beautiful pair of GHDS. You’re probably thinking,
how can hair straighteners be beautiful? I thought that too, I thought, I absolutely
swear by GHDs, but what’s wrong with my trusty old black pair? It wasn’t until
these beauties slipped into my life, that I realized that GHD really have
pushed the boat out this time. Just when you think there is nothing else they
can do, their trusty black straighteners, just like standard UGG boots, will
never stray from being at the top of the market, THE best in hair care, they
have upped their game and brought out the most beautiful metallic shades. Here we have it, my review of GHD’s new
metallic hair straighteners…
My Mum owned one of the first pairs of GHDs, back when they were only sold in salons, and even back then, they were
revolutionary. I remember, she would only let me use them some days, because
she explained that they were very hot and I was too young. But, some mornings before school, when
she’d gone to work, I’d quickly straighten my hair with them. I always had a
good day those days, how ironic, with GHD standing for ‘Good Hair Day’. Simple,
yet clever.
So, the beautiful hair straighteners which
promptly arrived at my door, well, I needn’t explain how gorgeous they are, a
beautiful deep yet bright shade of metallic red, they even feel lighter and
smoother. They literally glide through the hair, leaving you with feather light
locks. Even the LED light is different,
it’s a really smooth button on the inside which lights up red when they’re
heated up, these GHDs are like the iPhone 5 of GHDS.
I regularly use my GHDs to curl my hair,
and these are no different, the rounded barrel means that within only ten
minutes, you can have wavy hair. I took on the GHD ten minute challenge to
prove that you can make your hair look gorgeous, in only ten minutes. I tend to
make them really tight curls and then fully brush them out after, to leave me
with really loose curls. But, in ten minutes, I can fully straighten my hair
with these GHD’s as well, in fact, it only takes about 7 minutes.
GHD have managed to reinvent their famous
stylers into original and contemporary designs, which I am absolutely in love
with and I’m sure you’ll love too.
