My preparation for the Cosmoawards

EEEEEEEEEKkk... whatttt the heck! The day has come (finally), tonight is the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards in London! Cannot believe me and my little blog were even shortlisted and I am SO thankful. Okay so after panicking about what to wear, I finally have a few outfits and I am going to decide on the night which one to wear, of course I will let you all know on my blog what I wore! But for now, I wanted to discuss the beauty side of the cosmo awards, I haven't really thought about tanning etc until the end of last week but I really did start panicking when I realised that I had so little time but so much to do so I am going to talk you through my preparation for the awards ceremony.

Sunday - I got my nails done in preparation, just the classic French manicure with acrylics, because then it goes with any outfit. Not exactly well planned, the fact that I don't have an outfit, so I had to play it safe with my nails I'm afraid.

Sunday Evening - I exfoliated my skin and moisturised using Bodyshop's cocoa butter moisturiser, if you've used it before you'll know that they do the best body butters, soo toning. I did this every night after exfoliating in order to get my skin smooth and perfect ready for when I fake tan.

Monday Night - Another night of exfoliation and moisturisation as I will be tanning on Tuesday night hooray. I tanned on Tuesday so that IF my tan went wrong, I could still apply more/scrub it off on Wednesday!

Tuesday Night - It's tanning time! I used Xen-Tan, shock horror! The single best fake tan ever... I'd be stupid not to use it. I also completely pampered myself, I left my John Frieda toning shampoo on my hair for a good ten minutes to ensure that it is bright blonde and fresh for the ceremony. I also put my new cupcake face mask on from Lush, which is absolutely incredible by the way. My skin feels incredible now. I even used my new hair mask from Lush, I left it on for around two hours and my hair feels so much more manageable  soft and looks healthier after using it once. Very impressed.

Wednesday Night - I have my acrylics, I have my tan, unfortunately my roots aren't bad enough to get my hair done (hair grow goddammittt!) so I just washed my hair with my John Frieda purple shampoo to brighten the brassy tones and I will do this again on Thursday. I'm going to paint my own toe nails tonight in a plain manicure to match my acrylics. Above you can see all of the products that I used last night when I was doing my final preparations. Xen-tan, check. Lush Cupcake mask, check. I used my new 'It's raining men' shower gel on my hair and I can still smell it, even if I do say so myself, I smell great! You can also see the hair mask that I used. Something very exciting which I have been using every night for a few days now is Dr.Ceuticals Tummy Tone, I was asked to try this out for 28 days because apparently it does reduce your waistline, so I have just been using it every single day. Let's see if it works though... I also used my Xen-tan face tanner just to give myself a bit of a glow underneath my foundation, I read that the Victorias Secrets girls do this. If you're wondering what the tablets are, I have been taking them for a while now, they're evening primrose oil tablets and they just put goodness into your body, they apparently make your hair grow and balance your hormones, not sure if they work but I will keep trying.

So this was just a quick post to keep you up to date with what i've been doing. As you're reading this I am probably frantically getting ready for the Cosmopolitan blog awards and taking loads of photos of my outfit for you all to see. Wish me luck.. Oh and get ready for another London Haul post, Victorias Secret here I come... (again)
