There are always beauty boxes flying around the blog-world, some of them are brilliant and some of them really are just not that great, but that's part of the fun: you don't know what you're getting inside your box and it's an exciting treat every month. I used to pay £10.00 per month (and postage and packaging) for a beauty box and then came to the conclusion that I was never really 100% satisfied with the contents of the box (or the size of the samples for the price that I paid). But I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I really do miss receiving a box brimming with cute new goodies every month. When I heard about LatestInBeauty's Glamour Beauty Edit, I knew that this was a winner though...
One thing that I adore about monthly beauty boxes is the box itself. They make great little storage boxes and are particularly good for storing make up bits and bobs inside - it's worth getting a beauty box subscription just for the cute boxes, I still use all of my empty Glossyboxes as make up organisers. I'm not sure how all of these massive items squeezed inside this box, but somehow they did, and I was faced with a beauty box brimming full of gorgeous goodies (oh what a problem haha).
On the cute little menu card it tells you which products are inside this glorious box...
My gorgeous box of goodies.
Toni&Guy Glamour Firm Hold Hairspray - I haven't actually got round to using this yet but it's a bit bigger than 'travel size' it's not really a miniature as such. I personally love this as it would easily fit in a bag and be light-weight, without being too small. I'm pretty sure it's a fabulous product as well, as all Toni&Guy products tend to be amazing.
Eyeko Lash Curler - I got ridiculously excited about getting a full sized eye-lash curler inside the box. Firstly, how on earth did it fit! Secondly, I've been on the look out for a new eyelash curler for quite some time now and this one really didn't disappoint. You may have seen me discuss this already on my December make up bag post but it is such a good, quality curler. It's so nice and firm to hold and instead of like practically crimping the lashes, it actually makes them nice and curly. I would have paid £12.00 for these alone as they're absolutely incredible - I would highly recommend that you get some.
HD Brows Eye Palette - This is the product that I was most excited about, the product which made me die of excitement when the box arrived. I have had my heart set on owning this palette ever since it was released, I love having HD brows done so got even more excited to see that they did their own palettes too. This palette is just as good as it looks, and alone, it costs £19.95 so I'd never have expected this to be in the Glamour beauty box. I find the palette quite hard to use as I'm probably better at using an eye brow pen, but eventually I'm sure I'll get used to this.
Maybelline Baby Lips - Another incredible product which I have been wanting to try ever since it came out. I can now see why there's such a hype around the Baby Lips range - it's one of the only lipbalms I've come across that actually makes your lips feel smooth and stay smooth, plus the packaging is adorable.
Benefit They're Real Mascara - This is one of my favourite mascaras of all time so I was thrilled to receive another one to add to my collection - I seem to keep collecting miniature versions of this mascara! Now whilst this is a sample sized product, I would never have expected a full sized one of these in a beauty box, plus the sample size is quite big anyway and my other ones have lasted me well over 4/5 months so I'm sure this one will be in my life for quite a while. Benefit's They're Real mascara is just the perfect mascara for elongating the lashes, it really does work (it's even passed 'the Mum' test as I bought some for my Mum last year to try too). The Sheldon family loves Benefit They're Real.
Balance Me Radiance Face Oil - I haven't actually tried this yet but I have tried some other Balance Me products and I really liked them. The only reason that I haven't tried this is because I'm currently using my Kiehl's midnight recovery oil and can't get enough of it! It's £30.00 for 30ml of this so it's really nice to get quite a big bottle of it within this beauty box (10ml), so £10.00 worth.
Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo - It's always nice to get a new dry shampoo to try because I always just go for Bastise, as I know it works perfectly. This little bottle is beautiful, a real treat for the hair and it's refreshing to be able to try a new dry shampoo. I love the simplicity of the packaging too, Bastise is sometimes a little bit colourful and doesn't look as nice in my wash bag as this one, this is the perfect travel companion. It's £11.90 for a big bottle of this on FeelUnique which is much more expensive than the standard dry shampoos on the market, but if you're wanting a designer dry shampoo, this is the one for you. This bottle is 50ml.
The box costs £14.95 and is worth £65.00 which is absolutely incredible, unfortunately it's no longer available to buy but I thought it would be nice to review the products individually as I will certainly be re-buying the lipbalm and would have definitely bought the curlers and the brow palette had I known how good they were. Latest in Beauty is a great website where you can design your own beauty box (no more disappointment when you get a few products that you don't like). I was kindly sent this product to review but I really had no idea what Latest in Beauty was until I have just researched the website now. I love the idea of it. Like most girls, I do love the idea behind Glossybox and Birchbox, and myself, I have really loved receiving both boxes in the past (Birchbox is a personal fave) - it's really exciting getting a new box through the post every week so do send me any links if you've reviewed any boxes lately so that I can see if it's time for me to sign up again!
Do you have a beauty box subscription? Have you ever used Latest In Beauty? Have you used any of the above products or do you want to get your hands on them?
Lots of love, Em x
