Hello! So whilst on holiday I managed to shoot a few outfit posts in nicer scenery than rainy England so I thought I'd share them with you as I really enjoy doing a few fashion posts a month. I love beauty, it's my favourite, but I also love fashion of course, I used to be a stylist at my part time job and I've never really written a 'styling' post so this is my first. I decided to style up this gorgeous shirt from Hawes and Curtis and show everyone that a shirt doesn't just have to be a formal thing. I recently fell in love with a casual shirt from Topshop and since then, I've been on the look out for some more nice every-day shirts. I've always been a fan of floaty blouses but I've never really worn an actual, real shirt on a day to day basis. I absolutely adore this shirt and I cannot wait to share it with you...

Shirts and Denim:
Firstly I decided to wear the shirt with some denim shorts (available here) and I'm really pleased with how to outfit looks. I teamed it with my Primark sandals (similar here and here) as I think the pink really compliments the cuff of the shirt.
I am obsessed with the floral cuff and collar, it's so effortlessly gorgeous and it just makes the shirt a little bit more special, it's not dull whatsoever. I think the details on this shirt are truly beautiful and so different.
I love the green thread on the buttons, I felt like it went with my nail colour really well (MUA) and it makes it a really nice Summery shirt.
I would love to (and will be) wearing this shirt with my jeans in England, obviously I had no jeans with me whilst on holiday but hopefully you can imagine how nice it would look with a nice pair of skinny jeans. I like the idea of this with my favourite Joni jeans in blue from Topshop and can't wait to try this.

Sunglasses: Claire's
Denim Shorts: Topshop
Shirt and Leather:
Next I decided to pair this shirt with my favourite leather skirt from Zara (similar here and here). I think the cream colour of the skirt goes really nicely with the white shirt, it looks quite formal but if you undo a few buttoms and put a bikini underneath like I have, and add some sandals, it makes it a lot more casual. I also wore this shirt one day on the beach over my bikini in the sea. It looked amazing (even if I do say so myself) with a pink bikini underneath, such an effortless look.
I was quite worried about how this shirt would fit, as mentioned, I haven't really worn a 'proper' shirt before and I got this in the smallest size that Hawes and Curtis do, size 8, it was a little bit big for me but I think this adds to the effect because it means it's more casual and comfortable, without being too big. It isn't restrictive, it means that the shirt is one that can be worn to just relax in.
Rings: Foli Follie
Other ways I'd wear this shirt:
- With white jeans: I'd love to pair this with a pair of white jeans for a Kendall Jenner 'all white everything' kind of look, I recently bought the white joni jeans from Topshop so will be trying out that look this Summer.
- With a bikini underneath: As mentioned, this looks gorgeous worn open on a sandy beach with a white or pink (to match the flowers) bikini underneath.
- Formally: Of course you can wear this for a formal occasion, with some smart trousers and a blazer.
So there we have it, hopefully you can see that actually, a shirt doesn't just have to be worn formally, it can be beachy, going-outy or casual.

A massive thanks to Hawes and Curtis for sending me this gorgeous shirt. I had trouble choosing which shirt to go for as they have a beautiful selection, I'm currently lusting over a blue one with polka dots that I've seen. You can check out their range of women's shirts here. The shirts are currently £29.50 each or 3 for £69 which is very good for such high-quality, gorgeous shirts. I know where I'll be going for my shirts in the future!
Some more shorty inspiration to go with the shirt...
Do you wear shirts? Do you like how I've styled this shirt? How would you style it? Can you think of any other way to wear it?
Lots of love, Em x
