It's that time again! Time to talk about my favourite things this month (already!?). It feels like this month has flown by, time is going so fast and it's actually scary. I'm really excited to show you my favourites this month though because I am truly in love with every single product on this post and I hope you'll find something to fall in love with too! I am currently in Greece and don't worry, I will be updating you on my journey very soon I am just currently trying to upload my photographs on very slow wifi! Another little update too, I was kindly invited to watch One Direction tonight in concert in Manchester VIP with Boohoo as part of their experience everything campaign so I'm really upset to be missing that (crying), but I guess nothing beats the sunshine, not even a slight chance of maybe meeting Harry Styles... So let's get back to the May favourites...
Gucci Guilty Perfume - I was kindly sent this perfume by Fragrance Direct and I am absolutely in love with it. I've always loved Gucci perfumes, they're really powerful and last all day. I usually go for floral perfumes (Flowerbomb is my all time favourite) but sometimes, I stray from the floral tones and go for something a little bit stronger, well this is perfect for those kind of days. Thank you so much to Fragrance Direct for surprising me with this beautiful perfume! I'd say the smell is really sultry and quite sexy, probably more of a night-time scent but I really do love it.
Sanctuary Spa Warming Sugar Polish - I was in the shower the other morning with this and I literally screamed to myself: 'This has to feature on my May favourites post'. It's really that good. You put it on your skin with your fingers and it warms up, you get a really gentle and weird warming sensation which feels like the product is really sinking into your skin, it feels like a spa trip in my own shower. It's kind of like an exfoliating clay and you can really tell that it's full of essential oils. It's such a gorgeous product, I've never come across anything like it before, it's truly is like a professional spa experience at home. Sanctuary Spa are quickly becoming one of my favourite brands.
Kiehl's Superbly Smoothing Argan Shampoo - As with all Kiehl's products, this is another great one. It smells delicious, it's full of natural ingredients, including argan oil which is great for strengthening and growing the hair (as mentioned in my recent hair growth tips post). It makes my hair feel really shiny and strong. I love Kiehl's so much.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Set - I have finally tried Liz Earle's famous cleanse and polish and words cannot express how in love I am. I fell in love instantly which isn't like me when it comes to skincare. I was having a horrible skin week last week but Liz Earle came to the rescue. I'm always quite nervous when it comes to using new skin products as I get scared that they'll make me break out but this is so natural, it's made my skin clearer and smoother and much more radiant. It really is gentle and perfect for anyone with sensitive skin who's scared of using harsh products because everything in it is natural. Plus, because it exfoliates too so gives me a really nice natural glow. I'm kind of scared of exfoliating because it always makes me break out but this really gently removes dirt rather than deeply digging it all out and bringing you out in spots. The skin tonic spritzer is a really nice little companion for it too, I've featured it in loads of my favourites posts because I love it by itself, but put it with the cleanse and polish cleanser and you've got the most perfect two-some. I love it so much that I'm quite tempted to buy their subscription offer, it's £177 to have one cleanse and polish with two cloths delivered to your door every month. Uh oh! You can get their starter kit for just £14.75 here which I think is really well priced for such good skincare - I genuinely thought it would be much more thank this. A massive thank you to the Liz Earle team for introducing me to my new skin saviour.
Clinique Super Defense Age Defense Eye Cream - I've had this for ages but I've only just really started using it this month and it deserves to be shouted about. I can't say that it's stopped me ageing, but I can say that it's really thick and creamy to apply but then it feels so light-weight and firm once you gently rub it in. I have always loved Clinique, they were the first ever 'proper' skincare brand I used when my Grandma recommended them to me. They're kind to skin and their products are always blooming wonderful. You cannot go wrong with Clinique. I started using eye-cream recently because I realised that I probably should... I don't want saggy under eyes!
The Body Shop All In One Cheek Colour shade Macaroon - This is literally my favourite blusher ever. I need an unlimited supply of this seriously. I wish it was bigger, this is tiny so it fits in my hand luggage which is great and it means it wont smash, but, I really do need a larger one/100 of these in my life in case it ever gets discontinued. The photo does it no justice, the colour is absolutely gorgeous, I'd say it's got a nice coral tone to it and it just awakens my face so much - I feel alive when I apply this to the apple of my cheeks, it really does alter my face and make me look so much fresher and brighter. I absolutely love this product. The Body Shop do it again! It featured in my May make up bag post here if you want to know more about it.
Bumble and Bumble Mending Masque - This mask also featured on my hair growth tips and tricks blog post because my hair is truly damaged (thanks to bleach and hair extensions). I haven't tried any new amazing haircare for a while but this month Bumble came back into my life and made me wonder why I ever stopped using their amazing products. I've never used their strengthening products before (I have no idea why!) but I'm really impressed with this intense mask, just what damaged hair needs.
Lastly, fashion favourites. As mentioned, I will be featuring a few of my favourite pieces from ShopBop every month and this month it's all about playsuits. I am literally obsessed, it's embarrassing! They're so easy to wear! You can see some of my favourites below:
What are your favourite products this month? Do you like the look of any of mine? Have you tried anything on my favourites list?
Lots of love, Em x
