Whats In My Make Up Bag, October

It’s crazy to think that it’s already October and it’s time for me to tell you what’s on my face this month. It only seems like I was writing about my September face yesterday. Time flies when you’re having fun! October is when everything gets exciting (in my festive mind anyway), it’s nearly Halloween, then once that’s over with it’s time for Bonfire night and after that of course, it’s the big one; Christmas. I’m just a little bit excited when it comes to Autumn although I’d be lying if I said I’m a fan of the chilly weather. So here we have it, my October make up bag…

The bag – This months bag is from Oliver Bonas, I think there are OB’s dotted around London, I always pop into the one in Kings Cross Station as it is my favourite jewelry shop of all time, everything is just adorable, dinky and perfect. My Mum kindly bought me this as a get well soon present when I was poorly last year and I just love it. Of course, E for Em.

The Mascara – This month I’ve been applying L’Oreal Voluminous Lashes first, I wouldn’t really recommend this product, it’s quite dry and doesn’t really do much for my lashes. I then apply L’orealTelescopic mascara over the top as this really is an incredible mascara, I’ve reviewed it here if you want to see just how good it is. It gives your lashes a much needed vavavoom, we’re talking long, separated, dark lashes. I bought them both not that long ago as they were on offer at Boots.

The Lip – I’ve been using this beautiful Shu Uemura lipstick which I was lucky enough to receive. It’s such an incredible colour but doesn’t make me feel like I look too much like a Barbie, it still manages to keep my make up looking neutral. It isn’t too glossy, it’s got a tiny shine to it but I’d say it’s more of a matte finish. You can find it here, they have some gorgeous shades. (P.S, not sure why my hand looks so orange on that photo, bad lighting, apologies!)

The Blush – Aw I am absolutely in love with Clinique's Fresh Bloom All Over Colour Blusher. I don’t think this is going to leave my make up bag anytime soon. It’s such a gorgeous colour. I’m gonna get a photo up of me wearing it ASAP as it is just beyond beautiful and I need to show you it, it really warms up my complexion.

The Foundation – Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Foundation  - I will be writing a full review of this product soon but I have started wearing this product this month, it does make me look really flawless and smooth however I find it doesn’t cover up my dark circles so you do need to make sure you apply an under eye concealer if you’re going to be wearing this. I think I’ve got too used to wearing Vichy’s Dermablend foundation and then when I’ve moved back to wearing normal foundations which aren’t as thick, I got a huge shock. This is a really nice texture, it feels silky and smooth and does give such a flawless finish, it's just a lot lighter than Vichy's Dermablend. In terms of coverage, it’s quite thick but it really doesn’t feel thick when on your face, you can breathe in it, hence the name, oxygen.

The Primer – Shu Uemura UV Under Base Primer – If you read my last post  about which beauty products actually work, you’ll have seen my undying passion for this product. It comes out as a mousse formula and just completely evens the tone of the skin, even without foundation, this makes your skin look gorgeous. Once you put your make up on the top of it, you’ll notice how much smoother it looks, it really does give you a flawless finish. I love this product so much, I wish I had an unlimited supply.

The Eye Liner – This has featured in so many of my make up bags and it’s one of my favourite budget beauty buys. Collection 2000’s Glam Eyes Glitter Gel Liner in gold is my perfect little accessory to give me a hint of sparkle this Autumn. I only apply it near my tear ducts to just give me a tiny hint of sparkle, I love this so much.

The Nails – I’m loving this Nails Inc Mount Street varnish for Autumn, it means you can blend in with the crispy leaves and look all Autumny. No seriously though, I just think it’s a really nice, neutral colour for Autumn. I love dark winter nails so much.

Have you used any of these products? Do you like the sound of any of them? What are you loving this month?
Love Em x
