Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Make Up; Get The Look

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is much discussed in the world of beauty, every time I see a photo of her I gasp at how perfect she is. I wish I looked like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, there, I said it. I know we should be happy with what we’ve got, but sometimes, us girls just get down and need some inspiration, now Rosie really is that beauty inspiration for me. Luckily, make up exists so there are ways of re-creating the Rosie Huntington Whitely make up look (I’m not promising that your lips will ever look as good as hers). After searching the internet for photos, I’ve realised that she doesn’t really have a signature look as such, so I’ve chosen a few of my favourite looks of hers, and come up with ways that you can recreate them pretty easily actually. Here is my guide on how to do your make up like Rosie Huntington Whitely and how to steal Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s look… notebooks at the ready...

I’ve come to the conclusion that this is her ‘every day’ kind of make up look. There was hardly anything on the internet when it comes to asking what make up Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wears or how to achieve Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s make up look, which is pretty rubbish so here I am writing the ultimate guide to looking like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for you. Surely most people want to look even a tiny bit like her? So I’ve chosen some items and put them together which I think you could use to recreate her look. So first up, her every day look. After looking at hundreds of photos of her, I’ve complied a few looks which I think are similar, so we’re going to call this the RHW every day look. Here’s what I’d personally use to recreate the look.
First up, you’ve got the face. When it comes to the face with Rosie on these photos its all about the glow. I’d highly recommend prepping your skin with the Radical Mask, this literally makes your skin glow deep from within as it’s a mask, To add to this glow further, I’d recommend using Murad’s radiance serum morning and night before moisturising. If you implement items such as this into your skin routine, which are going to actually change your skin, instead of faking a glow with make up, it will be easier to create this look naturally, you’ll wake up looking like RHW. Once you’ve got the skin care working, I’d recommend using Autographs Radiance Primer, I guess its just like Laura Merciers radiance primer, but half the price plus Rosie does her own range of lingerie for Autograph at M&S so clearly likes the brand. This just gives you a really radiant base and will keep you glowing throughout the day. I’d then pop some Rouge Bunny Rouge Highlighting Liquid on the face, you can either put it all over your face, or, just on the cheek bones, this is my favourite brand at the moment when it comes to achieving that Summer glow. As you can see, her forehead and her nose have a really nice glow, so I’d put extra highlighter on those areas. You can then use Benefit’s FakeUp to contour and change the shape of the face if you wish, this is a great little concealer which is perfect for contouring and hiding any imperfections, I’d put this at the sides of the nose and down the cheeks. It’s hydrating too, so again, gives you that glow. Next, covering up those under eye bags and to give even more of a flawless base, I’d use Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Luminous Skin Wand under the eyes. If you blend all of this  together well enough, there wont be a need for liquid foundation. If you feel like you have to wear foundation though, I’d recommend something light and day time friendly such as the Clarins BB Cream. I’d then finish with Autograph's Powder Foundation. You can use this by itself as foundation or can just put a tiny bit on top as powder, this is great and I’d highly recommend it. Autograph is another one of my favourite brands at the moment, I can’t believe how good their make up is.

Then it’s time for the cheeks, Autograph’s gorgeous little blusher gives a divine colour on the cheeks, very Rosie so I’d recommend this.  Next up is Daniel Sadler's Water Colour Blush, particularly in this colour. It's great to recreate the RHW make up look as it’s glowy and dewy and just blends perfectly and looks so natural but the colour is so gorgeous and fresh. Oh this product is just to die for.
When it comes to Rosie’s to die for pout, I’d blend Becca’s Lipstick in Nude Mauve with this RBG Lipgloss over the top, the lipgloss gives your lips a 3 dimentional feel and makes them look plumper. Her eyes are light brown so I’ve selected Burberry's Sheer Eye Shadow in Chestnut to create her day time look.

When it comes to getting her night time and bronzed look, I’d recommend using this Radical Hydrating Cleanser as it just gives you such glowing youthful skin after only a few uses. I’d then say to use Nourish’s Illuminator as it has more goldy tones in it which is what you need to recreate this golden look. I’d then use the Rouge Bunny Rouge bronzing glow liquid on the cheek bones and down the nose. Next you’ve got Benefit’s Highbrow which is perfect for making the face look wider, more awake and glowy. Simply pop this under your eye brow and it really does wake you up. I chose Benefit's FakeUp this time for contouring but in a darker colour, as long as you really blend it with a brush along the cheek bones then its fine, because shes more tanned on this look I'd use a darker  concealer to contour with. I’ve left the foundation choice up to you here, as again, she is probably only wearing something light and radiant so maybe Nars Sheer Glow would be a good call here. This look seems to be all about the highlighting, contouring and tan.

For the eyes, she was a model for Burberry so I’d say this Burberry Eye Definer in khaki is the perfect colour to blend around the eye. I’d then blend further using the Daniel Sadler Quad Palette, particularly using the silver around the tear duct of the eyes as you can see on some of the photos, she uses silver at the front of the eye which gives an awake and again, glowy look. I’d then mix it with Rouge Bunny Rouges brown and Burberry again, to make a nice smokey brown.

For the lips, I’d say Burberry, again. They do great lipsticks this is Brick Red is a really nice dark red colour, I’d then blend it out with this Stila gloss.
Benefit's The Bronze Champions is great for faking a glow and achieving the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley bronzed look. The kit contains all you need to glow this Summer and I'd highly recommend it if you want to be bronzed. For the above look, I'd use the Hoola bronzer from this palette to give that bronzed effect on the cheeks.

Obviously you could use a wide range of products to do your make up like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, but these are just a few products which I'd personally recommend and use if I was creating this look.

Do you like Rosie Huntington-Whiteleys make up? Is there anything different that you'd use to recreate Rosie's make up look? Do you like Rosie's make up looks? Which other celebrities would you like to see a 'get the look' post on?
Lots of love, Em x
