Now, it isn't often that I will review any tan which isn't Xen-Tan. But, I have never used Lauren's Way simply because in all honesty, I am not a huge Lauren Goodger fan. Sorry to all the fan girls out there, I'm sure she is a lovely girl, but the way that The Only Way Is Essex portrayed her really didn't do her many favours. But, I feel that it's quite mature that I still use her products, because they are actually immense and it goes to show, that no matter who is behind the products, they are worth a try. I haven't ever heard a bad thing about this fake tan, the colour is just incredible and I got so many compliments on it, so read below to find out more about this super tan...
Firstly, the packaging. I do think this fake tan will look pretty in any young girls bedroom. Although the bottle does remind me a little bit of the St.Moriz bottle, the pink modern font takes away from this and does actually make the product look high end. I like the simplicity of the product packaging.
The bottle is easy to use, with simply one pump, mousse comes out. Quite a lot comes out actually and because the colour of this is darker than dark, you really don't need to apply much at all. I used to always use mousse tans but I do feel like they can be a bit drying, however, this is only drying when it comes out of the tube, once applied to the skin it actually glides on and feels quite moisturising. I did really notice the morning after, how shiny, smooth and radiant my legs looked. The colour which you see when you first apply this tan will be a lot darker than the colour that you'll see in the morning when you wash it off due to a colour guide, so don't freak if it looks black. But, with this fake tan, you really don't need to apply a lot, it is really dark, which means a little bottle goes a long way.
In terms of colour, this tan is not orange at all, it is a really really deep brown. It made my legs look really shiny and my Mum commented on how sun kissed I looked. It really does give that 'yeah I've been to the Bahamas for three weeks' natural look. I did go really brown with it on so I will apply less next time for more of a natural look, but even so, my Mum did comment on how natural it did look, because of the intensity of the colour. This tan really does go a long way, you really don't need to apply a lot for a perfectly intense colour. It also makes your legs look immaculate, because the mousse almost seems to prime the legs. I have been wearing this tan for a week now and only now do I need to start moisturising, it hasn't flaked off as of yet, which I am really impressed with. I think this may be because I also used the body polish before hand in the shower to get rid of any dry bits of skin.
All in all, I am really impressed with both of these products, the tan takes minutes to apply, it's easy, you don't need to apply a lot and the colour is really intense yet perfectly dark, which is great for someone like me, who loves to be bronzed. This product was £19.95, and whilst that seems expensive, for something which doesn't go orange, is easy to apply and gets you lots of compliments, I do think it's worth it. I've seen far too many fake tan disasters in my time. Spray tans cost at least £15.00, and when a tan like this gives you the same immaculate finish as a spray tan but at least you can use a bottle of fake tan over and over, I find that it helps to justify the price point.
You can see me wearing it here, as you can see, very even and natural.
Have you used Lauren's way? What do you think of it? What's your favourite tan?
Lots of love, Em x
