It's not often today that people stray from the normal, popular brands, but today, I am going to tell you why I think you should do that. Personally, I find that some products stop working on my skin, so for about a year, I will absolutely love a foundation, but then one day, i'll be like, erm actually, this isn't that great, and it feels like it's stopped working on my skin, and then something better will come along. Due to the world being so expensive nowadays, most people just stick to what they know, instead of risking it all and spending a few more pounds on a product that may or may not work. Well, that's why i'm here. I like to spend my money on products to test them for you first. But lucky me, I was able to try out these products from my recent #northmeetup bloggers event, and I am overwhelmed with this brand, so I just had to tell you why it's so fabulous...
Favourite product number 2: Arbonne Primer.
All of the big make up artists and skin care experts tell us to prep and prime the skin. I've actually seen people on Twitter describe this as the best primer that they've ever used. Trust me as well, because I feel like i've used every one on the market. The texture of this primer is perfect, it's not too thick but not too light. I feel like it evenly coats the skin and you can feel how moisturised and smooth the skin feels after putting one 5p blob onto the face. It almost gives the skin instant radiance. It kind of coats the skin in a really nice but thin layer of softness. I have noticed that my make up has not moved from my skin when wearing this primer. Which is incredible, because even when wearing Smashbox's 'worlds best primer' I have noticed that my foundation has fallen off my face. Literally, fallen right off. I haven't ever come across a primer like this, one that actually does it's job. It makes the skin look smooth, radiant and makes your make up stay on all day. I literally do not need to touch my make up up once when wearing this. This costs £25.00 which is cheaper than my second favourite primer by Shu Umera. Again, I just think the packaging looks so nice and simple yet designer on this item.
I have noticed such a change in my skin since wearing this highlighter, it's a serious dream product for me. A day without it, and my skin looks completely different. I apply this down my nose, below my eye brows and on my cheek bones, I pop a little bit on before foundation but then I put more on after I've applied foundation, just to emphasise the cheek bones. It literally gives off the most radiant, Kim-Kardashian-esque glow. This would work really well if you are contouring. I am absolutely besotted with this product, I never ever want it to run out.
This product is quite expensive, at £30.00, but, I've used many other highlighting products on the market, such as YSL's Touche Eclat, Nourish's Skin Glow Souffle, Benefit's High Beam, all of which are the same price range, but this is by far my number 1. People have complimented my new make up look so much, and I honestly think it's down to this new highlighter which gives me such a radiant look. You also only need to use the tiniest bit, the smallest bit goes the longest way, so hopefully this product will last me forever, I'm not ready for it to run out on me anytime soon.
I also got my hands on some yummy travel sized Arbonne brushes. This set was £27.00 but it fits perfectly into any bag, or wallet which is perfect for me, because my full sized make up brushes take up so much room in my bag. Obviously, the quality of these brushes is fantastic with them being Arbonne. This is actually so cheap, Mac brushes are at least £30.00 per brush, and I honestly think the quality of these is so much better.
They also come in a gorgeous little leather case so they stay pretty and neat in your bag. My new favourite brushes.
Lots of love, Em x
