Hey everyone, hope you're good! I promise there's going to be a Canada haul/Canada post up really soon but whilst I continue getting lots of nice photos for you, I wanted to talk to you about something I'm absolutely obsessed with at the moment. I heard the news about Charlotte Tilbury opening in Leeds quite some time back, before then, Charlotte Tilbury was a brand that I'd never thought of trying but as soon as I heard everyone whispering about it, I knew I should probably check it out. The minute I took a look at the website, I knew that I wanted everything and I couldn't believe that I didn't own any Charlotte Tilbury products up until now. I feel like this make up brand has revolutionised my make up collection and I can't wait to share it with you!
I was lucky enough to be able to work with the Charlotte Tilbury team recently so let's see what I went for...
Charlotte's Magic Cream - First, let's talk about Charlotte's Magic Cream. I'm talking about this first because it's basically the main product in her collection and the one beauty product that all females need to add to their beauty shelves. I love it so much, I've brought it to Canada with me - it's sat on my main shelf right in front of me right now! If you haven't heard about this yet, keep reading because it's truly amazing and I noticed from one application - it instantly became a holy grail item for me. This gorgeous pot not only looks amazing in your bathroom, but it works very well too. I'm quite careful about what products I use on my face after having a bad skin break out after using too many rich products but my skin actually likes this, hooray!
Charlotte Tilbury has been mixing this age-defying skin care for the past 20 years, and this is the result, a big pot of magic. She's been testing it backstage for years on models and explains that 'it’s a secret mix of patented anti-age ingredients, plus floral extracts that lift and transform tired skin in an instant! Think of a wilting flower that’s just been watered – skin is flooded with moisture for a glowing complexion in a flash, no matter how dehydrated or lacklustre your skin may look.' It's paraben free too which means it isn't nasty and so far, it hasn't broke me out after around 3 weeks of use.
I personally like to use this as a primer and moisturiser in the morning before applying foundation, it just completely gets my skin ready for any kind of make up application. I have been using this every morning and I really love it. I personally don't use it in the evenings, it's more of a morning thing for me (I'm still hooked on my Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate). You can buy it online here and I'd recommend popping into a Charlotte Tilbury concession and trying it out for yourself!
Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess Colour-Coded Luxury Eye Palette - I was so mesmerised by the golden goddess look that I just had to go for the luxury eye palette. I'm not the biggest eye-shadow wearer, but I do appreciate a good, high-quality eye palette, particularly one full of neutral colours that suit my complexion. I don't think you can go wrong with these Autumn shades.
This isn't a normal eye palette though, this is colour-coded and helps you get the perfect look, even if you're a little bit of a newbie when it comes to eye-shadow. 1 allows you to prime, 2 enhance, 3 smoke and 4 pop. I find this really helpful for me because I'm not very good with eye shadow, I rarely wear it so when I do (this will make me wear it!) I like to have a step by step way of teaching me how to actually apply it. The instructions are so easy and explain that you should first dust the 'prime' shade all over the lid and into the corner of your eyes for a widening, brightening effect, then brush the 'enhance' shade into the socket and blend, then smudge along the lash line. You can then add the 'smoke' shade to the outer edge of your eye and blend. For added drama, you can add the 'pop' shade to the centre of the lid. How easy does that sound? I just think it's such an added bonus that this set tells you how to use it.
The eye palette retails at £32 here which I think is quite good for a designer, high-end, top quality palette. You can get the whole Golden Goddess gift set for £165 online here which really isn't actually too bad considering the quality of it and the amazing finishing result, plus you get the whole set. I know that it's going on my Christmas list.
K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Nude Kate - I absolutely adore the lipstick in Nude Kate, I thought I'd gone off nude lipsticks but this is a little bit more than a nude as it actually has a bit of va va voom to it. It has personality and really reminds me of my favourite Kate Moss lipsticks but in a much nicer case and a much nicer formula. I feel like this lipstick makes my lips really full, rather than hiding them like some nudes tend to do.
The lipsticks retail at £23.00 which I think again, is very good for a high-end brand. I know Tom Ford lipsticks cost around £40.00 so that makes these look extremely affordable in comparison. You can get this lipstick online here.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat, Re-Shape & Re-Size Lip Liner - Lastly, the lip liner. You may remember this from my June wishlist post, you can see me wearing the lipstick and the liner below to see how much it has enhanced my lips. I am always on the look out for something to make my lips look fuller and this does just the trick, but it isn't too much, it's still classy and would work for a day time or an evening look. I think the colour is very versatile and I have been wearing this both day and night. Even if you just apply a little bit of the liner underneath the bottom lips, it completely changes the plumpness of them. Hooray for big, plump, juicy lips. Amazing staybility too, it stayed on all day and didn't dry my lips out at all, MAC lipsticks tend to make my lips so dry.
All in all, I am massively impressed with Charlotte Tilbury's make up range. I want every single collection and every single look. I can't wait to visit my local counter once I'm home at Christmas and get a make over done for my 21st birthday! I feel like Charlotte Tilbury is going to take over the world very soon with her amazing packaging, beautiful products and high-quality make up. You can check out the whole collection here but you may just fall madly in love.
Have you used any Charlotte Tilbury make up? Do you like the look of these items?
