Hello ah so it's that time again, time for a favourites post! Crazy or what. Time is flying so fast, I've been in Canada for a whole week already! I didn't intentionally only use pinky items this month but for some reason everything seems to be quite pretty and pink this month! I hope you enjoy my August favourites, I know I've really loved using these products this month...

Hey everyone, hope you're good! I promise there's going to be a Canada haul/Canada post up really soon but whilst I continue getting lots of nice photos for you, I wanted to talk to you about something I'm absolutely obsessed with at the moment. I heard the news about Charlotte Tilbury opening in Leeds quite some time back, before then, Charlotte Tilbury was a brand that I'd never thought of trying but as soon as I heard everyone whispering about it, I knew I should probably check it out. The minute I took a look at the website, I knew that I wanted everything and I couldn't believe that I didn't own any Charlotte Tilbury products up until now. I feel like this make up brand has revolutionised my make up collection and I can't wait to share it with you!

I feel like I haven't written a 'what's in my make up bag' post for quite some time, even though they're my favourite posts to write. I mix up what's in my make up bag on a monthly basis and today I'm excited to show you what's in my bag at the moment! PS, stay tuned for a Canada update post very very soon!

Today I embark on a pretty exciting journey, so I thought I better share it with you. Let's just say, it's not a decision I've taken lightly and if I said I wasn't scared I'd be lying. I want to blog and I want to travel so I took the decision to defer my third year and head abroad to Canada so that I can learn lots of new things, move away from my degree and share my adventures with you (yes you reading right now!) It's taken me months of hard work to save up, but I don't want to limit myself when I'm out there because of money, I want to be able to travel every weekend, I have plans to do America, Canada and hopefully I'll go to Hawaii too! The best part? I can share it all on my blog and YouTube channel, we're talking Sephora hauls, American and Canadian beauty but obviously, I'll still be doing my normal kind of posts too, just expect a few more lifestyle/adventure posts too! So what have I been up to the past week...?

Hello so today your bank balance is going to hate me and I apologise in advance for that. Wishlists are my favourite things to write, but my bank balance probably doesn't agree. Everywhere I look this month I just want everything so I thought I better compile a little wishlist. Here goes…
Zara Leather Court Shoes – I picked these up whilst in Leeds shopping recently and honestly, they’re so gorgeous and simplistic, I decided to put them down because I couldn't afford them on that day but I must get my hands on them this month. I actually got some amazing similar nude ones from Daniel Footwear (here if you want to be nosey) and I just can’t get enough of them so I'd like a baby pink pair now too. They’re so so classy and easy to wear.
Topshop Lined Boots – I always find myself on the New In section of Topshop and I am absolutely in love with these boots. I really want them for my trip to Canada but I already have so many pairs of shoes to fit into a tiny suitcase. What’s a girl to do?! They're available online here for £98 and I'm trying to decide if it's a fashion yes or a fashion no (and if I have enough room in my case!)

I've had my eye on this for quite a few weeks now and I am happy to say that it's finally mine. I seem to spend half my life checking the ASOS 'New In' section - don't try it at home, it becomes an obsession. I've done lots of clearing out of my wardrobe recently so I decided to treat myself to lots of new bits from ASOS (haul coming your way very soon). This is one of my favourite new pieces so naturally I had to snap it and share it with you...

If you've been reading Emtalks for a while, you'll know just how much I adore or used to adore hair extensions. I used to wear hair extensions daily and never thought I'd ever stop wearing them. To be honest, I feel a million times more confident when wearing hair extensions. I'm not going to lie, I was absolutely addicted to them (if hair extension rehab exists, sign me up). It's only when hot-bonded extensions absolutely destroyed my hair (read about that here) that I was told by my hair dresser I had to stop wearing extensions otherwise I would end up bald or would give myself alopecia. Bald patches and dreadlocks were already starting to show so I had to cut all my hair off and start from scratch. I will never recommend bonded extensions to anyone after my awful experience but like most girls, I have bad days where I despise my hair and nearly crack and get them again. Constantly caring for my hair and not touching it is boring and dull - I miss having long luscious locks as vein as that may sound, I feel like they were a massive part of me. I finally took the plunge recently and decided to put some clip ins back into my hair...

Hello, so a little style post from me today. It's no secret that maxi dresses are my favourite, I have a wardrobe full of them and I can't see my obsession ending any time soon. When Missguided challenged me to style a maxi dress from day to night, I jumped at the chance. I am the Queen of maxi dresses, even at just 5ft3, I believe anyone can pull off a maxi dress, day or night (rain or shine!) Let's do this...

When an invitation lands in your inbox, inviting you to check out a new outdoor terrace, you'd be pretty silly to decline wouldn't you? The obsessed foodie and cocktail lover inside me simply couldn't resist. The best thing? It's in Manchester. Why so good you ask? One of my favourite people lives in Manchester and every time I go, I make sure I catch up with her. So off me and my lovely blogger bestie headed to the Disaronno Terrace for a much needed catch up, some delicious cocktails and lots of giggles...

Hello! When I was invited to interview the Queens of YouTube, Sam and Nic Chapman, I could hardly turn down the opportunity. Off I headed into Manchester on Thursday to meet the two lovely ladies. I wanted to share some news with you about their new brushes (you should all know by now how much I adore and swear by Real Techniques brushes) but also, I wanted to let you see the interview and join me as I chat to these two amazing make up artists. Enjoy!

Knowing I have to limit myself when it comes to how many beauty products I can fit into my case when I travel Canada is pretty tough (however there is a Sephora next door to my flat so I'll be stocking up as soon as I arrive), tough times call for desperate measures so I've decided to put together a post with my ultimate, holy-grail, cannot live without items. I've done this as a way to help me truly choose my favourite products of all time and also those which will 100% be coming with me in my case. Also, as a way to show you which products have stood the test of time and which products I just haven't put down since I got them. I've been using some of these products for years and I'm so excited to tell you about them, let's hope one of these is soon to become your holy grail...

Dying my own hair is something I never thought I'd do and it's something that I've always actually said I will never ever do. It is something that has never been my personal preference, mainly because I just do not trust myself and secondly because my hair is blonde and we all know how blonde can go if it's done wrong. I've heard of so many hair disasters when people try to dye their hair blonde, including people getting orange roots, it snapping hair off and more, so I've always just eliminated any risks and gone to the salon. Recently though I decided to dye my hair by myself, in the comfort of my own home with Live Color XXL and I wanted to talk to you about how I got on...
