Imperial Leather FoamBurst Review

imperial leather foamburst

Everyone needs to shower, (I hope you shower anyway) and whilst showering can be a bit of a pain sometimes, particularly for me as every time I shower I seem to be in there for an hour, I'm obsessed with body washes (particularly new launches!) They really do make showers more 'fun' and enjoyable. Well, after all, the reason I go in the shower is to make myself look and smell better... and I wasn't disappointed with this new affordable product from Imperial leather... not only did I smell great, my body has never felt so soft...

I'm a huge fan of Soap and Glory and The Body Shop shower products but my Mum always manages to find me really good, affordable brands every week when she does her rounds at the supermarkets. I've long been a fan of Imperial Leather, I used to always buy this amazingly creamy body wash from them every time I went into the supermarket (cannot remember the name of it for the life of me). When they contacted me recently and asked if I'd like to review their latest range, I jumped at the chance because I really do think shower gel is obviously a necessity in life but also, whilst I do really enjoy to write about expensive and lust-worthy products, sometimes, it's the simple pleasures in life (such as a yummy, creamy shower gel which doesn't break your bank balance) that really brighten your day. Foamburst is described as a fragrance which magically transforms from gel to copious amounts of rich, creamy lather at your finger tips and I can vouch for this.

I tried out three fragrances, sweet vanilla & cherry blossom, bracing bergamont & sea minerals and moisturising honey & almond milk (personal favourite). I like the cans, although my Mum tried them and does say that she prefers to have plastic in the shower - I personally don't like the packaging just because it's a bit dark, I love bright, simplistic packaging but, never judge a book by it's cover. I do completely agree with the statement that they produce a huge lather, you literally need the tiniest bit - and it goes all over your whole body. I keep putting far too much on and ending up covered in white lather which is fine! It's such a nice feeling lathering this all over my body, it really is relaxing and makes me feel super pampered even if I've just had a quick 5 minute morning shower with it, it feels so luxurious and expensive on my body.

My favourite thing about this gel formula actually, is that this doubles up great as a shaving cream, I'm not sure if its meant to but that's how I'd explain the texture, it's gel-like, then it foams but it doesn't bubble, it lathers and goes really thick and creamy, and you can either wash it off or do a me and coat it all over your legs and use it as shaving cream. It gave me the smoothest legs ever, didn't make me sore, and I smelt great too.

Above is just when it turns from a gel into a foam...

Hopefully you can see above just how nice and creamy it goes when you add water...

All of the scents sound amazing, I'm currently collecting the collection, I love the sound of the Uplifting Lime & Grapefruit Luxurious Body Wash and the Rebalancing Green Tea & Jasmine Luxurious Body Wash. You get 40 showers per can which is very good value for money considering it costs just £2.00 at Superdrug and I'm sure you'll be able to get it on offer in supermarkets too!

These really did leave my legs and whole body feeling especially smooth, I didn't even feel the need to moisturise after. I really love these because they leave you feeling like you've really looked after your skin, you feel smooth, moisturised and smell delicious, and it only takes a minute to achieve this so you really can just have a quick shower and walk out feeling extremely pampered.
