An Easy Guide To Barcelona: 4 Days In Barcelona

I have been so excited about writing this post and I did write it as soon as I returned but unfortunately blogspot deleted the post, so here I am, writing it for the second time. As you'll have realised by now if you're a frequent reader of my blog, I love writing the occasional lifestyle post. I've been doing a few more travel and restaurant reviews, people who like beauty generally like nice food and good places to travel to so why not. After a great response to my Girls Guide To Paris, I thought I'd do the same after my trip to Barcelona. I am breaking this up into two blog posts, because we managed to cram so much into our four days in Barcelona, this first post talks you through my first two days. Whether you're planning a trip to Barcelona or not, hopefully, if nothing more, you will enjoy these photos but if you are planning a trip to Barcelona, I've included some tips which really helped us get the best out of our four days in Barcelona...

Whats In My Make Up Bag: August

I love doing 'Whats in my make up bag' style posts because as mentioned before, I do change my make up bag around on a monthly basis. Most of the time I need to use make up products for a month or so to really see if I like them enough to keep in my make up bag. Here are some of the things that have nestled into my make up bag this month, the question is though, will they stay?

Epilator Review: & How To Make Shaving Easy

Shaving/waxing and general hair removal, is something that most girls choose to do. It's up to you whether you remove it or not, but I like to leave my legs silky smooth. I usually just buy cheap razors and I don't think I've ever shaved my legs without cutting them, so much blood comes out as well from the tiniest cut. My Mum on the other hand, swears by hair removal cream, which is probably just as good, just without the cuts. I can never really get as much hair removed as I want to with the razor, so it was my lucky day when the lovely people at Remington sent me their brand new epilator and 'perfect shaving kit' to try. There are a lack of reviews of epilators on the internet, possibly because most people are petrified of using them after hearing horror stories of how much they hurt. My fearless Mum, has always dreamed of owning one, so between us, we tested this out for you. Is an epilator the new way to shave? And which products will make shaving that little bit sweeter? Read on to find out...

Essie Dupe: The Perfect Mint Nail

I rarely write 'nail' blog posts, but I've decided to write this after coming across this incredible nail varnish. I would hate for you to waste your money and that's why I needed to tell you about this £1.00 nail varnish that I recently discovered. I'll admit that yes, like most girls, I love expensive brands and yes, I do own an abundance of Nails Inc, Leighton Denny and Chanel nail varnishes. I'm not going to lie, they are very good and they do look beautiful in my bathroom but sometimes, you come across something just as good, for such a lower price, that you just have to shout about it and share the secret...

Last Months Favourites; Products I'm Loving

Okay so this post is a little late, but I've had it photographed since July as these are my favourite products from July. July was a strange month for England, with a heatwave which gave me a nice natural tan (which I still have woohoo!) So some of these products are most definitely Summer friendly... I love to get all my favourite things together at the end of the month because I use so much stuff through the month, it's always nice to see whats really stood out to me. Here are the things that I was loving in July (most of which I'm still loving now...)

The Alchemist Bar And Restaurant Review

Writing about delicious food is my favourite new hobby. I love food. I just love it and I'm not afraid to admit that. Food is my guilty pleasure, I find it pretty difficult to resist anything with chocolate in it. As you may have noticed, I've been doing a lot more food reviews recently, because well, why not. If you look at the top of my blog, you'll see that I've had a lifestyle section there for quite a while now which I keep adding to. It's refreshing to be able to write about my own experiences. Most people who read about beauty, will generally like nice eateries (and cocktails), well I do anyway, and I hope you'll like this place too. Lets just say, The Alchemist is so much more than just a bar...

What Would You Do With £20,000?

We've all been there, wishing that we had a bit more money, or that some money would fall from the sky and help us out. We've all dreamed about winning the lottery too, hands up if you've planned out what you'd buy if you won? Or imagine if money trees were actually real? Yep? Me too. When I was asked to talk to you about what I'd do if I won £20,000 by The National Lottery, I jumped at the chance. I am forever writing lust lists. In fact, I write a wish-list style post every month and discuss the products which I'd like most in my life. Unfortunately, I don't have thousands of pounds spare. This time, I really can dream about winning instead of planning my wish-list around my tiny little wage. But the main question is, what would the normal person spend £20,000 on? What would you spend £20,000 on? Would you rather buy 100 small items or splurge on a car? Would you rather travel for a year or pay off your University fees? I'd love to know...

What's In My Travel Bag; Perfect Holiday Toiletries

If you follow me on Twitter you'll know that I head off to Barcelona very late this evening, so I decided that in true pre-holiday fashion, I'd do a cheeky little blog post about the little toiletries that I'll be taking with me and also, it gives me the chance to talk to you about the items that I've been using before my holiday, to get my skin in tip top shape for the sunshine. Here is a little look into what will be in my travel bag. I love toiletries as you can tell, I spend most of my wage on them, so we better get started...

One Direction Make Up Review

One Direction Make Up
As an avid beauty fan, I was both excited and shocked but also, didn't quite believe it when the news broke that the most popular boys on the street, One Direction, had brought out a make up collection. Yes, you heard right; One Direction, have designed their own make up line for MUA. I love high end make up, but MUA is incredible when it comes to budget beauty so I love that One Direction chose MUA as the people behind their make up line, it means that the make up will be cheap, obviously it means their target audience will be able to afford it (MUA prices are pocket money prices) but also, it will be good quality as I am always blown away by the quality of their products. I have to admit, that unlike most of my friends, I'm not the biggest One Direction fan. I do have their album and it is my guilty pleasure, but being a make up lover, I was very excited to check out One Directions make up line. Whether you like One Direction or not, the fact that they're now on the beauty scene, is something which needs discussing and lets just say, this isn't just for young girls...

Hello! So I randomly decided to do this post today when my favourite powder ran out, I realised that recently, I have run out of a lot of beauty products, some good and some bad. Travel: Visit Vietnam and Why? What To Do In Vietnam + WIN A TRIP TO VIETNAM FOR TWO!

When I was asked to tell you about why I wanted to travel, I jumped at the chance. Ever since moving from Leeds to London last Summer, I've wanted to spread my wings and go further a field. Moving back for University made me realise that I have high aspirations, and that unfortunately, I'm not one of these people who can stay in the same city for the rest of my life. I have pretty much done Europe, but University opened my eyes, my friends have been to America, Australia, Dubai, Iceland - cool places that actually, as a child I probably wouldn't have appreciated, that's my Mum's answer anyway when I ask why we never went. As soon as I was asked to talk to you about travelling, I thought of all the fabulous places that I want to visit; The Maldives, America, Australia, Thailand, Fiji... but then I realised, why discuss the norm, when there's so much out there in the world that is left un-discussed? This is where Vietnam comes in... Lucky for you, I'm going to tell you how you can travel too, and win two tickets to Vietnam thanks to Malaysia Airlines.

August Wishlist

Every month I read far too many magazines and blogs so I always end up with a wishlist as long as my arm. I love doing wishlist posts and I absolutely love reading other peoples wishlist posts. It's nice to put into pictures exactly what I want to get my hands on. Hopefully you'll like some of the things on my wishlist this month and maybe even want to try them yourself...
