Lipstick is something that I've only just got into. I've been addicted to my Mac Myth lipstick for as long as I can remember and lets just say, it doesn't really count as lipstick, it's basically the same colour as my lips. Since getting all my hair cut off (hair extensions have ruined it - more on that soon!) I've decided that red lipstick actually suits my hair. Maybe it's because I feel lost without my hair so I had to add something else to my face to make up to it. Anyway, whatever it is, I seem to have become a little bit obsessed with lipsticks lately, so thought it was only fair that I show you my current lipstick collection, and boy, I'm just getting started...
The Nudes-Pinks (left to right): Arbonne's lip protector is great for the sun. Second in line is my trusty Myth by Mac, apparently their best selling lipstick, this is my staple lip item. Next up is a new one that I was persuaded to buy the other day in Mac, this is called Creme Cup - I'd be lying if I said I've used it yet. Then there's the cutie from Smashbox: Pretty Social. The name sums it up, it's pretty. Then there's Becca Cosmetics' Eloise. An immense brand if the illuminator is anything to go by and the lipstick is the same. Fabulous. It's actually very similar to Mac's Creme Cup but I think the packaging is prettier and it's less shiny. It's very James Bond. A take on Clinique's Chubby Sticks is Autographs chunky lipstick in Rose Shine - I love this product. It's perfect for that au natural look and makes my lips sparkly and plumped. Angelina Jolie, eat your heart out. Finally, the pinkest of the nudes, it's Arbonne's Candy, a touch darker for those date nights.

The bolds (left to right): SmashBox's Sunset Blvd starts off my collection with it's light orange tones. This looks really neutral on the lips and leaves more of a Summer shine than a vibrant colour which is great for that natural look and those Summer afternoons. We're thrown into brightness next with Mac's Nikki Minaj, I personally don't like this on me anymore, it's such a vibrant pink that I end up looking like Barbie. I find it hard to find clothes to go with this lip colour. Barry M's 163 is the colour that I've been obsessing over lately, it's had a lot of compliments plus, it makes my teeth look incredibly white. Arbonne's Runway is next, the most gorgeous, vibrant and shiny red colour that I have ever come across. This is the best shade of red, ever. Plus, it has a hint of shimmer in it which is always nice. Shiny lips are perfect for Summer, oh-so kissable. Autograph's Ultra Shine Twist Up Colour in Strawberry really does steal the show though, for ease of application, stayability and a shiny, subtle shimmery yet bright red. Mac's Morange is next, I haven't worn this yet but according to the sales assistant, orange is in this season when it comes to lipsticks. Finally, it's my old favourite. Burberry, Redwood. Timeless. The beautiful designer packaging speaks for itself. A red which is so deep it's almost plum. It's like a maroon colour but just looks insane. It's so different. I love it.

I hope you liked this easy to read little guide to Summer lipsticks. I had no clue when it came to lipsticks and never really paid much attention to them, well look at me now. I can't wait for my collection to grow and to introduce you to some more beautiful colours. What lipsticks do you like? Whats your opinion on lipsticks? Is there a favourite which I have to try? Have you tried any of the above? Lots of love, Em x
P.S, I've been shortlisted for the Cosmopolitan 'best new beauty blog' award and I am speechless, I'd love to have your vote. You can vote for me here. Thank you so much.
